Honda 0 Series Sedan and SUV Debut at CES, Hit the Road in 2026
The vehicles will use a brand-new operating system called Asimo
Honda's new 0 Series electric vehicles are expected to go into production in 2026, and at this year's CES, we're getting our best look yet at the chonky SUV and dustbuster-like sedan that'll eventually be built at the company's new EV hub in Ohio.

Honda's electric future
We don't have many concrete details about the company's new EVs, though we do know they won't be shared versions of other electric vehicles, like how the Honda Prologue is really just a reskinned Chevy Blazer EV. Honda continues to tout its "Thin, Light and Wise" design aesthetic, with a focus on great outward visibility and interior flexibility, and judging by the photos of these two concepts, spaciousness looks to be the name of the game. The cabins of both vehicles are dominated by large screens up front, but a relatively low dashboard and ... wait, is that a yoke?
One technical detail we do have: Honda says the 0 Series vehicles will use an electronic steer-by-wire system, where the steering wheel itself doesn't have any mechanical connection to the chassis. The company says braking and suspension duties can also be handled by-wire, "resulting in outstanding handling," according to Honda. (We'll see about that.) The 0 Series vehicles will also apparently be capable of Level 3 eyes-off automated driving, like what Mercedes-Benz is offering in its new Drive Pilot system.
New operating system, familiar name
Remember Asimo, Honda's kinda cute little humanoid robot thing that debuted — this makes us feel old — more than two decades ago? Well, the robot itself isn't making a comeback, but its name is, in the form of Honda's new vehicle operating system.
Much like the 0 Series vehicles in which the Asimo system will debut, we don't have a lot of solid details about this new technology right now. Honda says the Asimo software platform will be able to manage things like driver assistance systems and eventually (maybe) automated driving, as well as in-car infotainment and multimedia applications. The Asimo tech will continuously be kept fresh via over-the-air updates.
The Honda 0 Series SUV will arrive first, in the early part of 2026. The 0 Series sedan comes second and should go into production near the end of next year.
