    It's a Cadillac.

I've always loved the small boxie style Cadillac had in the early 90s. Both the 4.5 and 4.9 were the best engines Cadillac Ever built. They were built with what Cadillac stands For Luxury and Dependability.

I have had my eldorado for 4 years now and have had absolutley no major problems with it. It has been in three fender benders, which I was rearended, not one time did my car end up with more than a scratch. While the others had body damage. It has power that you wouldn't think an older town car would have. When you push it goes! The interior is roomy and comfortable enough to sleep in if you had to. Great car, I'd recommend it to anyone. even at 180,000 miles it still runs strong and quiet at the same time.

I bought this car to be an every day driver to work and back (40 miles a day), and it has been far more than I expected! It has the coldest air of any vehicle I have ever driven (which is nice since I am in Arizona -- and I have driven over 50 different vehicles), and it has more power than I thought it would have!

Unbelievable Quality/ Style for a 24 Yr Old car

Bought mine used as a weekend car as I live in a large metropolitan city and can walk to work and various shopping around my condo, it had 132,000 miles on it and 1.5 years later only up to 133,074, runs like new, everything inside and out looks as if it's 1990, all the digital instrumentation works perfectly, as well as the onboard 1990's computer console (state of the art for the 90's) all I had to replace was the trunk closure motor, (as the trunk closes automatically), my oil change place cannot believe a 24 year old car still looks this good. Have to say well worth the $2800 I paid for it

    It Still Runs

It's now 2021. I have had this car since 2006, was a Florida car and a gift from my Uncle. The car had only 59,000 miles on it. I never would have dreamed but 15 years later, it still runs with almost 200,000 miles now. I wish I could give this car more than 5 stars. It has treated me so well. I used it daily until about 2015 when I was out of college and started buying other cars, so this one got driven less. Many people tried to buy it, or take it in on trade but I couldn't part with it. I had a service engine soon light once in 15 years (egr valve). Absolutely everything works flawlessly in this car. I have never added refrigerant or touched the A/C system in this car so it baffles me that it still blows ice cold air. It's a base model, gold with the gold package, whitewall tires with the wire hubcaps. The car is showing cosmetic blemishes after almost 200k miles and 30 years of driving. The clear coat on the roof has a few spots staring to peel this year. The bumpers are faded, dash is fading, and the drivers door panel has split open. I still take excellent care of it. Coolant flushed every 2 years, oil changed around 1,500 miles, ran nothing but premium fuel, transmission serviced every few years as well. This is the type of car that is dependable and requires little effort to fix. Friends and relatives can't believe its still going, and running excellent for that matter. They all remark that I won't let the car die. I am confident it will drive anywhere. The body and undercarriage is remarkable even after driving it in many Pennsylvania winters in the past.

We picked this car up for $200 dollars, the former owner was getting ready to send it to the salvage yard, after some minor reassembly, it started right up and drove absolutely great, its a very spacious interior with full power options and a strong 4.5liter v8, automatic with overdrive,it gets around 25mpg on the interstate, also a very easy car to work on,all in all, after 5 years of owning this car. I would say it is one of the better cars we have owned as it has outlasted several of our other vehicles and is still going strong even at 250 thousand miles, we have put new gas tank, fuel pump, tires, exhaust, and an alternator on it so far, well worth every penny put into it,as it is nearly 30 years old now and has no rust on it anywhere,we don't drive it during winter season,as we live in a region that heavily salts the roadways, Great car, we've had numerous people ask to buy it from us and have turned down every offer, this is our daily driver and its a great car for long road trips

    Cadillac is Cadillac

I love this car. I bought it 2 months ago but I love every bit of it. Its pearl white and its an amazing car that commands respect. So far every car mechanic who have seen it asked which year it was and if I'm passing through a small street, opposing cars park on the side giving me a way to go, EVERYTIME! Of course its an 18 years old car that needs to be taken care of but its a pure classic car and it's worth it! I hate to see all these people taking a classic car and turning it into an auto-clown by installing 22" rims, etc, and that's why I'm keeping it classic.

My dad gave me his caddy and I was thinking oh great and old slow car. I replaced the main brain and can now get my old slow caddy up to 120 in about 25 secs or so. Thats pretty good for an old mans car. Really though I'll never get rid of my car.

The car has been an up and down for me, but overall amazing. When i first got the car EVERYTHING broke on me. Power steering pump, all new pulleys, new muffler, stereo shot out, new starter, and new ignition. But not because of the quality, but someone decided to leave it sit for 6 years without even turning it on. So it sat for way too long but now runs wonderful. I love every bit of this car, its extremely peppy. I have the touring coupe (1 of 900) and it is awesome.

I have to say, I'm a Chevy girl, however when GMC built this 4.9, they went up and beyond. I purchased my Caddie about 4 yrs ago, engine was spotless and the original owner had it parked in garage 24/7. Even when I bought it 171k miles it runs like a champ. Had to replace minor stuff, water pump, starter, power steering pump, although you have to do the oil faithfully, I didnt but....this car runs great. I love the metal, chrome, leather interior. I'm old school, who could ask for more?

My husband and I purchased the 1990 Cadillac El Dorado a year ago and it has been a great car. The ABS box went out on it and we couldn't find one to replace it. it only has 114,000 miles on it and we would love to keep it.

    The Touring Coupe

I bought one like this new in 1990. Pricey then $32K. I still find it a great looking car. It turns heads still as you don't see many in 2018 especially Touring Coupes. The interior was over plasticized and prone to breakage but it was a sign of the times for most of the cars then. For a 4.5 Ltr. engine it was a bit under powered but the Northstar engine was coming for the new coupe in 1992 so I guess not much could be done. Overall at 28 years old its still a pretty solid car.

This car has been extremely well taken care of, even though bought used at a dealership, it was evident that the previous owner loved it. I have had it a little over two years, and while most of those were problem free, I do ned to note that the aftermarket extended warranty I paid for at the dealership paid itself off.

Have always loved the styling of the Cadillacs of this era, it's longer hood, shorter rear and wide stance give it a distinctive feature not found often anymore. It offers decent ride quality, good gas mileage for a full size car, excellent power from the 4.9L engine <extremely ample power from a stand still>. The tranny is probably the smoothest tranny I have ever had the pleasure to experience, whether it is cruising or mashing the throttle to pass on the highway. Fuel economy is 17MPG where I drive city/highway, but more highway would yield up to 24MPG from what I have seen - thanks to the OD.

I love this car. I got it for my birthday a couple months ago. I use it as a weekend car, and for special events. Beautiful pearl white paint, along with a very comfortable maroon interior. The ride is floatly and smooth. The car gets 15 mpg, from mostly city driving. The rear seats are very spacious once you get in. The car sat for many years before I aquired it, so it has a couple things in need of fixing: speakers, radio, a/c, and wiper fluid reservoir. Everything else still works perfectly.
