Almost impossible to break
Listen. I bought my 2012 Verano used in 2019 with 63,000 miles on it from a super shady dealership. It’s made 2 trips from NC to Connecticut, 2 trips from Greensboro to the Outer Banks, and drive it daily delivering pizzas at work. 80k miles now and this car eats highway miles for breakfast. I drive this thing like it’s a Hellcat and I still get 30 MPG on average. 20 bucks fills the tank. Went off-roading (accidentally) and the car was perfectly fine. Used to only do oil changes once a year until I realized exactly how much oil this engine burns. Couldn’t register it for a while so it sat for 6 months, and then drove it 6 months without realizing there was no oil in it because it had only been 4k miles since the last change. Finally got it registered, check engine light came on the not even a week later. I panicked so hard and all I had to do was change the oil. Boom, no more check engine light. Last check engine code was a camshaft sensor, pretty cheap to fix. Every speed bump and almost every angled drive way I go over makes my bumper scrape the ground. Radiator? Absolutely fine. Stock stereo system but I put my music all the way up and the bass still shakes my mirrors. Ecotec engine is a second gen racing engine and I can take off at a light 0-30 in not even a few seconds. Waiting for the day I see someone throw a cold air intake and muffler delete on one of these bad boys. Slept on mod car for sure. Moral of the story, change the oil and keep up with maintenance and you can beat the [non-permissible content removed] out of this thing without it breaking. july 2022 update car made another trip from nc to connecticut. i learned how to keep up with maintenance better. was having some sort of electrical type issue, replaced my spark plugs and battery, the ones previously in the car were the wrong parts. the spark plugs were so burnt they were ashy. engine air filter clearly hadn’t been done since 2012. put in a nice K&M performance engine air filter. sounds almost like a muscle car now. runs like it’s brand new. i still beat the sht out of the car too. starting to see people mod their buick veranos. definitely thinking about reinforcing bumper due to it getting ripped off every time the front end scrapes (unavoidable but thankfully gm pushed the radiator way back in this car). get to know your cars and what they need and they’ll drive you forever.

Worth the money!!!
I bought my 2012 Buick Verano almost two years ago and I love it. It's the first car I ever bought and it's made me a Buick fan for life! It has the most comfortable ride, it handles like a dream, and for a compact economy car, it's power is not bad at all. When I bought it, it had a little over 52,000 miles and I've put over 20,000 on it. Not a single issue, except for the passenger presence module has gone bad, I guess due to a known pinch in the seat. The car is pretty, inside and out, with a crystal red color on the outside, and a cashmere color on the inside. I have heated leather seats, a heated steering wheel, touch screen, blu-tooth, power seats, the dash has a beautiful blue ambiance, BOSE AUDIO SYSTEM makes music sound AMAZING, plenty of storage and space in the front seats. The back is a little tight but I never use it. The trunk is a pretty good size as well. I've used this car to move two times and it's been such a champ! I get all kinds of compliments. The best part? It holds it's value too. I love this little car!!!

New owner
I just picked up my car from the dealership and I'm very excited about it. The ride home was so smooth and quiet. There was plenty of power on the highway and the ride definitely felt luxurious. I understand that I'm coming from a Vibe, (which is an awesome car, btw) but even so, for just a little more money, I feel like I've moved into a much higher class. I'm excited for Buick with this car. Once the word gets out that the Verano is a great value, I hope people will support it. The one thing I'm nervous about is reliability. I've had zero problems with my Vibe and it has 110,000 miles. If the Verano can come close to that, I'll be happy for Buick, and for me, too. Will update.
Nice car with a few disappointments
There are 83,400 miles on the car. It's comfortable, very quiet, handles well, has a great Bose sound system, the OnStar Service is excellent, loaded with options, and the car is heavy and very solid! The original tires lasted 80,000 miles! Minor complaints are that it gets poor gas mileage for a 4-cyl (may be due to the heavy weight), it had a defective battery after a year (ok since then), black soot discolors the white car around the tailpipe, and it uses a moderate amount of oil. Would I consider buying it again? Yes, but Buick has stopped making it.
