Love that car
This 1998 Buick leSabre is the best car I've ever had. I've driven many brands and models , including Chrysler, Ford and GMC products over 60 years. I drove my first Buick in 1949. This has been the best.
Minor Problems overall OK
Upon purchasing this vehicle at 81k I had to replace tensioner pulley. Now suspension is squeaking and car is loosing major amounts of coolant into engine (not external!)and this has caused it to knock. Not to mention paint peeling off center cap of wheels, and tail light bulbs falling out of socket. However, to be fair the car gets wonderful mileage and the room is very nice. Great acceleration.

Great car
Well Buick is great value and well a planed car. 3800 motor is strong and great mileage and the ride is great, and a lot of room and a big trunk.
My Dragon, she's my baby.
I got this baby (The Dragon), when she had 177,000 miles on her for 1500.00. She has that amazing 3800 motor, and at 100,000 she had been changed over from Quaker State to Mobil One, which is where all my cars are at 100,000. She now has 456,000 on her, and is going strong. BEST CAR EVER!!!!! Even has very little rust. 18-22 miles per gallon around town, and rides like a dream. Minor repairs--brake lines, brakes, muffler, tail pipe. Most expensive was a gas tank. Cannot complain about a thing. Snow white on the outside and blue leather inside. Ended up taking the headliner out as it was a fortune to replace, and few people fix them. Not a problem. Dura Last Battery, and she is set for years. If you get a chance to get one of these babies, promise you won't regret it. Wish the new ones were as good as the old ones!!

A nearly perfect Hoopdie!
With 91,850 miles, my LeSabre has more age than wear. The previous owner was a 91 year old man from church, and his heirs gifted me with Dad's ride. This car has some of the little issues that older cars have, like a sagging headliner, but sort them out professionally and they will never be an issue in the future. I am pleased with the smoothness, durability, and the overall quality that I have enjoyed with this car so far. Seats that cradle you in overstuffed couch-like comfort. A roomy interior and a large trunk for goodies. It is reassuring to roll in a cocoon of ample steel protection. Having grown up around substantial luxury cars, I marvel that these beauties are so cheap and underappreciated. These are very affordable, widely available, and repair parts are nearly everywhere. I have no regrets, look froward to the journey of making it cherry, and it's definitely staying in my driveway.

I love my Buick
My 99 Buick LeSabre was in our family for a number of years and finally gave up after 20 years of good service due to rust. I personally had it for the last four years and it never gave me any trouble except for minor things. It was extremely comfortable and spacious. I always felt safely driving my child around in it. It didn't have super awesome technology but it gets you from a to b safely. This is a great vehicle. I'm very sad that our time together is over.

1998 Buick LeSabre Custom Review
Bought car new in June, 1998. The first major problem was the intake manifold at 96K. $1700 later, I was back on the road. Great highway ride and very stingy with gas avg 24-25 mpg. Trans gave way at 212K had it replaced for $1400. Then I decided to have the rusted out d/s rocker replaced for $300. P/S rocker has only a little rust. Had several other issues obviously, but nothing over $700. Thankfully, I have an honest mechanic who performs service only when needed. Engine still running great at 226K with mostly highway miles. Security light came on..not worth it to fix. Left turn signal indicator needs to be manually turned off. Minor problem. Change own oil at 3-4K. Drive it easy.
great car
