frustrated
I couldn't be more frustrated. I've had it in the shop six times in five months. The electronic's on the car keeps failing. The technicians cannot figure it out. The MMI system and the keyless remote keep failing. I wish I could get rid of it. But Audi does not back up their product.

Love hate your Audi A8. Largest, most comfortable, luxurious and sporty sedan that year. By far, worst to own, service and repair. Unless you’re a mechanic or have one in your family, stay away. Make MBZ and BMW and Range Rover seem reliable, which says it all. They suck too! Buy Japanese. You won’t hate your car like owners of high end German cars do.

It has a Mind of its Own
My 2004 Audi A8 is equipped with all the electronics, short of making you coffee in the morning. The only problem seems to be that it will work when it feels like it. I have had the vehicle back for the upgrading of the navigation system. The following are a short list of poroblems that I have experienced with this car: the auto trunk open/close is not working; the car will lock itself; the seats do not adjust to the entry key being used; the interior lights will not work in the auto position (they just stay on); the doors will not open with the remote key all the time; the seats seem to adjust by themselves.
early problems
In the 10 weeks i've owned the car, my remote controls have died out three times. The dealership keeps fixing it and it dies out again, So far the dealership cannot figure it out. The service is nothing like the great experienve I've had with Lexus.
Audi A8L is equal or better than others
I was considering an S500 Mercedes and felt after one test drive that I could get everything I wanted in that car and more in the A8L for less money. I have owned a Lexus LS400 and a Mercedes S420 before and I feel certain that this is the finest car I have ever owned. I would advise anyone looking for a high end automobile to test drive the A8L.
