Best car I've ever owned out of seven.

I've owned this car for TWO years. Only "major" repairs have been one loose engine mount and the radiator. Totaling less than $900.00. I've had a few "small" repairs totaling less than $600.00 or so. I drive three times more than the average person, by the way, for work. I've owned some decent cars, but the car right before this one was the worst car I've ever owned. A Pontiac G3. So, it was like going from eating expired potato chips (your least favorite flavor by the way), to eating at your favorite steakhouse, with your best friends, meeting the love of your life that night, and having dessert WITH her. Okay, a mild exaggeration, but this car is literally the best car I've ever owned. I love almost everything about it. It runs and drives excellent. Zero to sixty in about 6.5 seconds. 3.2 V6 model. Bose sound system sounds great. Beautifully designed car, very classy and subdued, tons of compliments on it. Smooth ride, love the CVT, part of what makes it so smooth. The leather is great quality, only barely cracking a tiny bit on the seat after 12 years. I have the 2008 model. Spacious, yet nimble. Only downsides to this car is the handling, a little bit less traction than I'd like, but this may be due to subpar tires to be honest. A/C kind of has a mind of its own, unless you readjust it every few minutes -- others have said there's no real "fix" for this. For example, if you want it blowing super cold, it will "turn itself down" after a minute or two for some reason, but if you turn it back up, it will stay up. I only use premium gas, which is a bit expensive, but I believe it keeps the car running forever honestly. Oil changes are $100.00 a pop, unless you do them yourselves. This is a luxury car, so you shouldn't buy it unless you can take care of it regardless, so maybe a non-item. Top ceiling cloth is a bit hard to clean unless you're super careful with it. Other than these things, this car is a dream. Highly, highly recommend.

1st Audi A6 review

Beautifully designed inside and out. Great drive. BOSE sound system is incredible. My A6 performed flawlessly the 1st year but then problems started. At 9k miles the # 5 cylinder coil had to be completely replaced. At 10k miles, carbon buildup caused the check engine light to come on again. The on-board computer had to be reprogrammed. In addition to all this, Audi's consume oil like no other car I've ever owned. I literally have to drive around with a quart of oil in my trunk because it needs to be constantly topped up. 5 times this year alone. Finally, the front suspension is starting to creak on rough roads and it's getting progressively louder. Disappointing for a car this new.

Sporty Luxury

From the outside to the inside, the A6 has beautiful features. The interior is plush and comfortable. The seat positions take you from a sports car feel to an executive luxury car. The MMI & sound system is fantastic, but I'm disappointed that the iPod integration is not on voice activation. Took a few days to master, but once understood, the MMI is easy to operate.

Sensational Looks

Love the exterior classy lines, interior is beautiful. The Bose sound system and iPod integration is fantastic. However the jury is still out on the handling. The car seem to have a lot of play in the steering and very poor weight distribution, also I find the car to have poor visibility. The Navigation System and Blue Tooth leaves a lot to be desired. (German car engineers should take note of Japanese technology). The S line looks great with its wider tires, but has very stiff seats. All in all the car feels very solid, and luxurious.

For a large car, the A6 handles very well. I come from a smaller sports car so driving the A6 took some getting used to. The steering is soft, but responsive. Starts are slow, but once she's up to speed, the power is awesome! Passing slower vehicles is not a problem. The interior is plush and comfortable and there's nothing better when driving at night with all the lights on. Having the controls on the console was awkward at first since it is difficult to change settings while driving. I don't suggest it! However, once set up, voice activation is the key to easy and safe operation. Although difficult to comprehend at first, once learned, the MMI and navigation system is a cinch to use.
