Bought the car about 5 months ago. Has 194,000 on it and it runs beautifully. Needed to get new struts and shocks and had to replace a fan belt, exhaust, and tires but besides that and a few minor things the car runs like brand new. No check engine lights no transmission problems, Very fun to drive. Has amazing torque and fast acceleration ( this thing will give you whipneck) and the engines in good condition. I bought it off an older gentleman so it was taken good care of, only 2 owners before me. Interiors beautiful with alot of luxury features. The performance of the vehicle is impressive, with the 300hp it has this thing moves. Very fun to race, has excelent handling and with its quattro technology and stabilization option weather is no issue. Car has no problem doing 70 plus during snow and heavy rain fall. Overall a very nice car. If you don't mind paying a little more for gas and want a reliable very good quality car get a 2001 Audi a6 4.2 quattro

great performance and comfort. quattro is bonus in New England weather--but I've had transmission and electronic problem ever since I drove it off the lot. I have the 4.2 LOADED, the car was $52K- I expected so much more for that kind of money and a german automobile. Will never get one again or recommnend to anyone.Thank God it's a lease.

A6 4.2-Pretty Good

I last owned an A4 2.8q that was leased. I decided that I did not want to be restricted by mileage overages so we bought a CPO 2001 Audi A6 4.2. I think it is probably one of the best looking cars made and definetly the best looking Audi except for the RS6. It has a very aggressive look to it. It had the Sport package so the ride is firm but I like feeling connected to the road. It came with some pretty aggressive Yokohama 255/40/17's that are great in the dry roads but truly stink in the snow. The car could not get up a hill in our local area, so I had to back down the hill and start over. I guess the Quatro system is only as good as the tires. But for pete sake, these cost $200 a piece

Audi Surprising Satisfaction

When I purchased the Audi, I had driven a reliably Chevy Tahoe for three years to recover from a Lemon Lexus... I have been incredibly satisfied by my purchase of a dealer demonstrator. This car is the most exciting drive: it combines superb road feel with precise handling in a luxury envelope. In one day, I've driven 700 miles in my A6 comfortably. So good, my best friend bought one just like it!
