Used TMV from $9,761
In 2008, when my PCM failed causing extensive transmission damage, GM/Pontiac said there was "no problem" with the PCM and I was forced to pay for the damage its failure caused ($3200). To make me "feel better" they sent a coupon to be used toward a new car. I could not and still cannot afford a new car so I never used the coupon. This"coupon offer" was used by GM to ... Read More
Is there a way to add AUX input I.E. for MP3 player/smartphone and/or XM Radio this will really be handy when we go down to Mazatlan
My answer is biased because I own 2 Mazda5s, but in summary: Mazda5 = more space, sliding doors and better handling (a blast to drive) I rented an 09 few months ago (2009 2.4L 5AT Pontiac Vibe FWD 1SB) so here is the summary (I'm not sure if I posted it here before, but here we go): 1. The first gen Vibe rear was much sexier, the 09 facelift looks terrible. ... Read More
I will try to keep this as short but as detailed as possible. I after years of consideration, I am considering a Vibe...please take a moment to follow along on my journey... Facts: -I have owned a 1999 Dodge Durango for 8 years and have loved it, aside from the 12mpg. -The cargo area is my most beloved aspect of the Durango -I love the clearance of the vehicle. -Conversely, mostly ... I have a 2008 that I got new in April, and I started noticing a burnt smell, kind of like a cross between when a radiator gets hot and electrical. There are no leaks or any gauges going off.I only have 6000 miles on it so I am sure I am going to get the complete 36 months of warranty,so that gives me time to see if its just breaking in or what? I got a great final price because of the GM card rebate points - something that, IMO gives GM a great edge over the competition. The experience I had at Carl Black GMC/Pontiac was excellent. I think the dealership and the salesman both deserve mention. The internet salesman - Bob Leyda actually saved me money by taking the time to discuss who the car was for and how it would be ... Why would you have been certain? If you look up the value of your vehicle used 07 with average miles in outstanding condition, it barely wholesales above $13000 according to kbb.com and the other books. The Toyota matrix (on which it is) is similar. Eating $5000 on a vehicle like this 1st year is uncool (from 18300 purchase price) expecially since 09 models are out now. You want 4000-4200+ off this ... Read More
I saw the 2009 Vibe at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit yesterday. They wouldn't let you sit in the car (or the Matrix either) because they were "prototypes" - even though it is the actual production model as opposed to a concept. Pontiac gave me a free poster that said "Available in dealerships end of January, 2008" on the bottom. The guy I talked to who was handing ... Read More
regarding the rough ride: check the tire pressure, look inside your driver door to see what is the PSI rating for your tire size. my car is a 2008 the PSI is 32
You did the math right. It was $1000 for the trade, $2000 in rebates and another $1000 discount (plus the $3500 GM card rebate). I was told I couldn't get abs after the fact. I searched the Pontiac website for 2007's and almost all of them seemed to be either an odd combination of options or not many options. When I found one with so much of what I was looking ... Thanks for your reply, but your reply was to someone else, not me., as I was not talking about price. Just looking for anyones thoughts between the 2008 Honda Civic and the 2008 Vibe. Trying to make a final decision. Thanks, bob175
You lost me a little. It looks like the car started out at $21000 + $1381 for the original out-the-door, and you got out at $14881, or $7500 less. Ok, forget about the special $3500 GM card credit and it looks to me like you got $4000 for trade-in and discounts/rebates. If you assign the book $1000 to the trade-in, you seem to have gotten $1500 + $500 in rebates and ... Read More
Looking to buy one of these cars, but having trouble deciding. Anyone have any thoughts or experiences with either one.
2009 Vibe timetable pulled forward at NUMMI- quote Wards- 2009 Vibe General Motors Corp. will accelerate production of its redesigned ’09 Pontiac Vibe by at least two months, a move meant to satisfy an advanced timetable for the ’09 Toyota Matrix and growing consumer demand for choices in the upper-small car segment. The 6-year-old Vibe and Matrix share a common platform. The Vibe is built at New United Motor Mfg. Inc., ... Read More
I am looking for a 2007 Pontiac Vibe (at the lower end of the price range, with minimum options). At this point I have a $1,000 rebate from my GM card, but that expires on September 4th. In your experience, how much do cars like the Vibe drop in price once the 2008 models are on the sales floor? From what dealers have told me, the new models should be in ... Read More
Hi Gang, The Toyota website has the new 2008 Matrix up for viewing. And the big surprise is that it is identical to the 2007 Matrix! I have no doubt that Pontiac will follow soon. Does anyone have a contact at the NUMMI plant who can confirm? Looks like the big decision this fall will be a new 2008 Vibe or 2008 Saturn Astra. Hmmmmmm...
Hello all... Does anyone out there have any idea if the 2008 replacement for the Toyota Matrix will also be rebadged as a Pontiac, as with the Toyota Matrix/Pontiac Vibe cousins? I've been reading up on what the Vibe has to offer now and it seems a pity that this machine will discontinued soon, but such is progress. Any 4-1-1? Cheers... Peace! <- --
http://www.leftlanenews.com/2006/10/12/spied-redesigned-2008-pontiac-vibe/ Spy photographers have snapped some photos of the 2008 Pontiac Vibe. While similar in size to the current Pontiac Vibe, the new model has a more slanted windshield and rear window. The beltline is higher, resulting in shorter side windows, and the overall stance looks lower. A peek inside through the side window gives a glimpse of chrome ringed instrument gages, round A/C vent outlets, and a silver painted area ... Read More
