I just purchased a new Ford Taurus Limited AWD, and never thought I would own a Ford since my Pinto back in the 70s. I was ready to buy the Avalon when I heard about the 2008 Taurus. Very tight and solid flat ride really suprised me. Ergonomics outstanding. A few gaffs like other American cars, but am seeing the same thing on some Toyotas and Hondas.
Driving position, well thought out dash design, audiophile radio nice suprise, ride, quietness, AWD and bang for the buck.
Rough edges such as electric tape as cover (rear view mirror, trunk wire, inside engine), exposed rough surfaces around seats near floor, trunk liner ends short of trunk height on sides (better attention to detail), passenger seat memory, telescoping steering wheel, front bumper sensors
