I found this forum doing a search on our 2009 Tahoe LT after we began to experience several problems all at once! It just blows me away that there are so many noted problems i.e. door locks, battery issues, AC blowing hot air and more... And Chevy has yet to do any recalls when it's obvious that there are faulty issues in the vehicles they are manufacturing! This is absolutely insane ... Read More
I purchased a used Chevrolet Tahoe in July 2011 that had 35000 miles on it. About 3-4 months ago the vehicle would not start several times. I took the vehicle to the dealership where it was purchased, and I was told that the battery was bad although I had taken to Autozone where they assured me that the battery reading was fine. The battery was replaced at my cost as I ... Read More

Ok so my check engine light finally came on and the shop told me it was a throttle body issue and they could not fix it since they do not have the proper scam tool. I took my car to our local Chevy dealer and couched up $135 just for a diagnostic and was told it was an error code P1810. Since I just had the transmission rebuilt in Dec of ... Read More

I hate to hear about your problem. Believe me I can understand your frustration. I had an 07 that was like flipping a coin if it was going to be dead or not. I complained to GM of course they never heard of the problem, I gave them this web site. I've got a 2000 GMC with 215,000 miles that is more dependable. I have to admit we have a 2011 ... Read More
I am having the same issues on my 08 Tahoe. I took it to the dealer for service a few weeks ago and they were unable to replicate. The problems stopped for a while, however they started again this morning with the door locks going up and down and the console flashing on and off. My wife is taking it to the dealer again as I am writing this post. I've ... Read More
2009 Tahoe with Electric problems/cycling

I have a 2009 Chevy Tahoe with the same cycling problems that are listed throughout this forum. Has a vehicle ever been fixed? I brought my Tahoe into my local dealership and they put some electical grease on the wiring, strapped the wires together...basically put a band-aide on the problem. They did print me out a service bulletin about this very thing that GM issued: Document ID: 2665828 #08-07-30-021F: Loss of ... Read More

Hi. Unfortunately, I did not get mine resolved. I went round and round with the one person I was allowed to talk to at "GM". Some foreigner named Hazel who was obviously reading from a script. I was just getting ready to trade for a 2011, to give the Tahoe/GM a second chance. This Tahoe was my first GM product ever. Seeing this, I will most definitely not be purchasing another. ... I have a 2011 tahoe with the same problem. GM is giving me the run around cause it can't be duplicated. Did you ever get your problem resolved and if so, what dealership. Maybe mine could contact them. GM customer service says they don't look at blogs and are not aware of any problem like this. Any help would be appreciated, I'm at my limit!
We purchased a 2006 Tahoe LT in Jan. 2010. Since then, on numerous occasions the vehicle just won't start. This happened several times in the winter months. The vehicle at this point would at least start with a jump. In the past 6 months, when the vehicle dies, it won't even start with a jump. We've had to have it towed 3 times. Each time the towing co. checked the battery ... Read More

Defective A/C interface module on a 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe

I have had problems with my A/C since March of 2010 and it is now June of 2011. I recently received a letter from GM concerning this problem. The letter is a special letter concerning the HVAC system, the interface module, the blower motor resistor, and a few other electrical devices connected to the blower controls of the vehicle. This is not a recall as specified by GM. It only affects ... Read More
what happens is dealerships will address the problem in certain way because their mechanics can only go so far in fixing the problem - in most cases is not the tires or the high force balancing - it has to do with either the drive shaft or the U joint or combination of both - the U joint can wear out in some cases causing the drive shaft to be less ... Hi kharrison13. Now is not a great time to purchase a new vehicle. The supply constraints that the Japanese manufacturers are facing has made all dealers, even domestic ones bolder in terms of holding the line on vehicle prices. Having said that, the fact that you are interested in a large SUV during a time when gasoline prices are near record highs certainly should work to your advantage during negotiations. If ...
