  • Anyone Do a motor swap, not a 3.5 from an RL?

Written by: jonatbaylor on Feb 4, 2010 3:43:20 AM

I know some guys over at acura-legend.org have done the 3.2 to 3.5L swap, but I don't really see a benefit of that. Hell, my 1994 Legend has more horsepower than a 2004 RL! Yeah, the RL has like 20lb more torque, but so what. It has 5 less HP. Anyways, I was just thinking about stuff because my headgasket is starting to leak, and I'm getting some super light ping ... Just replace that particular light bulb. Those bulbs have 2 filaments in them and one of them may have blown out.

Hi Kirkaja! I've been an Legend owner for ten years and still counting. I'm 31 yrs now and have owned 5 Legends and 1 TL, and have definitely had my share of mechanical problems with the legends. I've had the problems with the overheating, differentials, tie rods and axles, shocks and struts, glass replacement, trunk leaks, power windows, tail pipe smoke, and stallings that happen out of no where! It seems ... Read More

I have a 1994 Acure Legend L and recently the taillight on the passenger side quit working, but it still lights up when I hit the brake. Does anyone have any idea what the problem might be or how to fix it? Also, my entire gauge lighting has gone out.

  • To buy or not

    Written by: hammerhead12 on Feb 12, 2003 7:17:21 PM

I am currently looking to replace my wife's old car (1994 Chevy Cavalier - Teal) with a 1995 Acura Legend L. I'm wondering is the dealer giving me a fair deal. It's got all options for an L (leather, keyless, automatic, and cd changer). 54599 miles(??) What is wrong with the prior owners? Pay almost $40,000 for a car and not drive it?????? I've had it checked by a mechanic, they ... Read More

  • Should I buy it?

    Written by: lorna1 on Jan 17, 2002 9:22:10 AM

A recent change (for the worse) in my financial situation has made it necessary for me to find and purchase a car within my cash payment capabilities. My boss drives a 1993 Acura Legend which has 170,000 miles on it and he is recommending that I buy a 1994 Legend. This particular Legend is a 1994 LS with 155,000 miles on it. The owner has recently replaced the timing belt, radiator, ... Read More

  • 55K 1992, speakers, rumbling, timing belt

    Written by: apowell1 on Dec 6, 2000 12:42:27 AM

As mentioned before, I have two Legends, a 1991 with 120K and a 1995 with 50K. I have had the 1991 for nearly eight years, and just bought the 1995. They are really excellent cars, that is why I searched for a 1995 instead of buying new. They just don't make anything that compares in my mind except possibly a $40000BMW but that is too much to pay for a car ... Read More

Hello fellow Legend owners and enthusiasts! I recently found this page and decided to contribute. After looking for close to one year, I finally found my Legend (1994 GS). First of all, I want to say it was well worth the wait!! This is the type of car (as we all know) that was meant for driving - not just everyday driving, but to take out, put down the windows, and ... Read More

I have to admit that I like the older Legends too. Especially the 1989 and 1990 model. They looked better than the 1986-1988 models. The 2nd generation car was no looker, but I'm come to like it too, I once almost bought a 1994 as a 2nd car. They make a great used car now from about 15K, especially the LS models. I kind of wish Acura would drop this silly ... Read More
