update: Airbag issue fixed, now fuel pump recall, no fix issued yet ??, replaced all 4 tires ($1,028), 2 rear tires showed steel threads, will rotate now every 3,000-5,000 miles, still no fix on the suspension, even with lawsuits pending ? Rear tire have inside cupping after approx. 15,000 miles, road noise from rear seat area (passenger(s) notice, on my 1st scheduled service and tire rotation upon owning, the tires from rear to front caused serious road noise and vibration upon stopping, had dealership switch them back, now they tell me to replace the tires and get an 4 wheel alignment, seriously ??? they have less than a year road use, the cost to replace tires are approx. $200-$300 a piece.............+$100+ to align........very costly to the consumer, VW as known of this bad design since 2009.....and they continue till at least through 2016's models with same setup ??? Next why would VW lower the quality by installing Japanese airbags, two issues with the Tarkarta airbags with recalls that have caused deaths !!!! It's a German car built in Germany, why install CHEAP Japanese parts ???? I do love the VW cc and always believed in German engineering quality, but apparently young guns have started to make major decisions, even to a point of deceiving the consumer(s) I.E. TDI versions, now the tire cupping/ suspension issues, stop this practice and LYING VOLKSWAGEN !!!! And finally give the loyal customers, a well built car we pay for, and stop lying, and fix the issues, not cover up or Pay us OFF with unfair deals ( (1) set of new tires ???!!!! or $2,000 to shut us up !!!!, as of 5/10/2017, still no fix or update on Takata airbag replacement / repair ???, Love the car still ♡

Model specs and technicals are best seen at VW website so I'm dispensing with that and on the my impressions of the car. I just bought a 2014 CC sport in black for a daily commuter, 9 miles 1 way, 5 days a week and 2 roadtrips a year. This is my 3rd VW, Jetta, GTI, now CC. Buying experience was typical, they use some old tricks to get the most money for the cars and I walked out happy with a fair deal. Interior and exterior design, fit, and finish are all top shelf. Seams are close and even, textures are supple and ergonomics are well thought out. Driving is a pleasure, the ride being softer than the GTI but still very firm. Engine is very responsive and driving is very easy. 3yr update: within 30 days interior developed several squeaks and rattles which the dealer was unwilling to fix. Drivers mini glove box cut my hand, blower fan makes squaking noise in am. Blower eventually died and was replaced under warranty. I turned it in with 18,000 on it, at least 2 of the tires were worn out. The dealer said "due to the steering angle from VW". Twice I was stuck at a gas station with the fuel door frozen shut (no recent moisture or snow) and 1 of the rear seats was locked in the up position so no loading any type of long items from the trunk. Comfort, powertrain, and driveability are the strong points here, no wonder they were giving them away.

POS in nice skin

It's a money pit. Talk about high maintainance German cars. Have to replace the tires every 30K miles. Water pump went out at 60K. Oil leak at tensioner at 65K miles. Rear break pads wearing out before fronts. Each of those cost me over $1K a pop. Not good for a $35K vehicle when purchased new. Long time ago, I had a 1980 Datsun 510, carburator, manual. It went to 200K miles with oil changes only. Think the Germans have learned how to make reliable cars? They have not. They have learned very well how to drain your bank account. And for reference, I've had a BMW Z3 and A Mercedez C240. Same high maintainance POS in pretty skin.

I enjoy this car and the features, moved up from a 2012 Passat, the extra 30 hp. certainly helps and the MPG is nearly the same. The 2 tone interior looks great and is very comfortable. Feels like a luxury car and drives like one. Nav. system is a plus. Tire noise was very disturbing, replacing the tires with Toyo's made it go away

I leased a VW CC from this awful company which had a serious airbag recall that could cause death or serious injury. When I requested to get out of the lease they refused since there was no fix for the recall. They still keep reporting negatively that has caused me a lot of inconvenience. Worst company ever, stay away from them and their cars. [non-permissible content removed]
