This car is not for everyone. Soccer Moms, people with storage needs and those who want their car to drive for them aren’t food candidates for a Miata. This is old school driving joy. You get to actually DRIVE a car; with a great sense of the road! Of course I have a manual transmission in my GT. It has the retractable roof and is a joy to drive. It’s tight quarters for me, but it feel … like it is my super hero suit :). We have another car, a Cadillac XT5 platinum edition, so we have another vehicle for day to day activities. As a Floridian, we drive this car at the beach, too down and with big smiles on our faces. It is just perfect for that….practical? No way. Fun? Absolutely! This is the best car for the money if you don’t have to drive kiddos to school or haul stuff. I had a gen 1 for over 300k. Reliable, affordable and fun…what’s not ti love? Oh, did I mention how cool it looks?
