2014 Lexus RX 350 4dr SUV AWD (3.5L 6cyl 6A)
What can I say except that this is probably the best overall vehicle I've ever owned, and I've owned about ten used cars and ten new cars in 45 years of driving. I've owned this car for almost 7 years now, and put about 60,000 miles on it, including six NY-Florida roundtrips. It is bank vault solid, quiet, and just has a feel of buttery smoothness and high quality. It has had one … repair, a new AC compressor was installed in summer of 2023. It did have one alignment, and it now needing a second alignment. It will also need a third set of tires at about 75,000 miles, but I guess that's average for a 4200 lb vehicle. So, if you can afford the gas, and it is thirsty, figure on 12-14 MPG in crowded suburbs with a lot of traffic lights and winter blend fuel, this is a great vehicle! It can get 22-24 MPG on the highway, the lower number at 70-80 MPH, and the higher number at 65-70 MPH. I have no complaints at all about this vehicle. I'd gladly purchase another. The only other update I have is that it did need new front brake pads at around 65,000 miles. That, two new batteries so far, and one new set of tires at about 35,000 miles are all the maintenance it's had except for oil changes, filters, and tire rotations. UPDATE: It's now at 75K, and has had its first repair- the AC compressor. I do wonder at the wisdom of having the AC compressor run all the time, but it does keep the inside comfortable. Other than that, still the best car I've ever owned as far as comfort, feeling safe, quietness, etc etc. Every passenger loves it too.
