Used 2012 Toyota Venza Consumer Reviews
A fine choice over the outback
I'm really satisfied with my Venza. It is a joy to drive and I feel very comfortable at the wheel. It's got nice acceleration and plenty of cargo space for it's size. The ride height is great and can traverse the muddy roads during spring break-up in Alaska. Driving in the snow and ice was not a problem in the least.

Tires not that much of an issue.
Look at Yokohama Parada Spec-X 420 treadwear rating are 194 each set of 4 with tax in Texas is $915 installed at Discount Tire, Good year has a cheaper tire ar $125 each but it has lower tread rating and a more aggresive tread that will lead to more road noise. The good years can be had for under $600 installed but they would be inferior to the Yokohamas . Remember this car is a more comfortable alternative to a SUV their tires will usually cost almost as much and in some cases more.
THE best!
I had the 2011 Venza. Best car I ever owned! Because it was a SUV it was a bumpier ride on certain roads than I expected. I had to sell it because my husband didn't trust the dealership on the latest repair they said was needed. (He used to work on cars but is unable to now). It was the first vehicle I could slide into and get out of without falling in and crawling out. The interior was so roomy everyone commented on it. If new Venzas are manufactured again I will definitely check it out. I am currently leasing a Lincoln and very disappointed as it does not live up to my expectations of a luxury vehicle. The Venza has it beat by miles! I have emailed Toyota a couple times asking if they would build the Venza again. I want another one. Same look.

LOVE LOVE LOVE
We purchased used 2012 in 2014. I knew I loved the look but didnt realize I would fall in love with everything about the Venza. We have driven this car from NC out west 7 times and up and down the east coast literally too many times to count. We obviously love to travel and this car has never failed us. It has over 183,000 now and I'm just as happy today as the day I got it. It is not AWD but never had an issue in any snow storms we encountered out west and along upper mid west states. If I could go back in time I would do it all over again. UPDATE. 3-24 my venza now has 229,000 and is still the best car I have owned and yes I would do it over again. I get people compliment the look today and it 14 years old 9-22. She has 235,000 and I purchased a Highlander this summer and my husband and I both still drive my Venza daily. She just keeps going and I love that car

Venza Problem aread
There are three problem that we are experiencing with our 2011 Venza. First, and most important, is the fact that small animals are getting under the hood and into the interior of the car (clove compartment mainly). This is due to a design flaw that exposes openings on each side of the vehicle where water drains off the windshield that are not screened to prevent this from happening. Second, the gas mileage is poor. We have the base 4 cylinder engine and there is no way this vehicle is getting the posted mileage-absolutely no way. Thirdly, there are serious problems with being able to see in the rear of the vehicle, making backing up in traffic a real challenge.
