Used 2006 Toyota Tundra Consumer Reviews
Great Truck
I love this truck. Very comfortable to drive. Stable in curves if not pushed real hard (not a sports car). Decent gas mileage I get 18 all around and 20+ on trips. Ride height gives great vision of road. I bought the 2006 because I liked the smaller truck better than the larger 2008.
Great deals on 06 4x4 SR5 DC
Got a great deal on a remaining 06 DC 4x4 SR5 which was pretty loaded up. Here's the positives about the truck: great back seat room compard to 07 DC, larger bed than upcoming Crewmax, nice engine and tranny, unparalled resale value, lots of aftermarket items available, very good off road ability, fit and finish is perfect. Negatives: horrible gas mileage so far, outdated dash board and controls, higher than average TSBs and recalls, cloth seats seem cheap, center console rounded, not good for work.

Pretty nice Truck
I have about 2500 miles so far. Seems very well built. Lots of power unloaded, actually pretty fast. Have gotten 18 mpg with ATV in bed. Got 11 mpg pulling 5 ATVs to West Va. from Ohio. Ouch. Really seems to be a good solid vehicle so far. Mine is TRD and rides firm but comfortable. I am happy so far.
Surprising workhorse/pony
I have had this surprisingly powerful workhorse for 2.5 yrs. now and and quite pleased. It hauls like a truck but drives like a car. It has power and the rear sliding window handles 20 foot boards. I've hauled full pallets of wallstone with little sway. Perfect for work and family. Only problems have been large turning radius and transmission with cruise on gets finicky. Test drove a Titan, a Ram and F-150 and pleased with my selection. Have power everything, all works great. Cup holders 4 full crew, plenty of storage compartments all over the place. Truck NOT heavy duty, but hauls well. Fuel 16c-19 hwy
I luv my Tundra!
I have had my truck for a month now and love it. It rides like a truck but it is so quiet inside. This is the last year of this body style so I wanted to get it before it changes. I did my homework and you just can't beat a Toyota Tundra. On my first tank of gas I got 16.7 mpg, no not teriffic but hey it is a V-8 truck. It has plenty of get up and go and looks great.
