Used 2002 Toyota Tacoma 2dr Xtracab 4WD SB (2.7L 4cyl 5M) Consumer Reviews
great so far
The overall quality and design is almost perfect. Although the options can be a little pricy, there really is no comparison to any other make. After testing several other imports and domestics, this is by far the superior vehicle. Already having over 4000 miles in just a month and a half, the ride is quite comfortable, especially for someone of my size (6'4" and 250lbs). One of the downfalls is the lack of room in the Xcab. I don't even think my 11 year old nephew was comfortable on a 5 mile drive. definitely need a re-design for the Xcab in the near future. Other than that, the truck is quite capable.
Glad I did it!
Finally getting rid of a 1991 Toyota Corolla. It was time to get a truck and I was thinking of Dodge, Ford, and Toyota. The more I thought about it, my last Toyota lasted me 11 years and had well over 200,000 miles on it...why would I go with anyone else?! Just bought it and I love it!

Just an Excellent Truck
This is my fourth Toyota truck, I have had excellent luck with all of them. This xc 4wd is all realiable, comfy and good looking too. It does what I need it to do without looking big and stupid like so many trucks on the market today.
A good truck but for a few nits
Tight and well-built. Underpowered, but this may be the fault of the tall tires which raise the effective gear ratio. Driver seat felt weird at first but my bad back loves it, even on long drives. Weird and irritationg motor rap around 2K under light load, sounds like a rod knock, but can't be heard outside the vehicle. Some folks say the 3RZ motor will just keep running regardless. Bought a 100K "wrapper" warranty just in case.
Love my Truck
My 3rd truck, but my first Toyota. Best truck so far. 4 cyl with a 5 speed. Does pretty good on gas. Tuff as nails and great in the snow.
