Used 2019 Toyota RAV4 Consumer Reviews
Transmission defect
I bought a new 2019 rav 4. Hesitates at pull off and jecks. Do not buy. I was able to research it. You have to take it to the dealership and have them to calibrate the electronic control module… ECM. It will work ok after that but the dealership will pretend like they don’t know how to fix it so you have to be consistent. It’s all about the money.

Feels cheap
I have a 2017 Rav 4 XLE hybrid. I road in a 2019 RAV4 non-hybrid today that a family member had rented. It felt cheaper than my 2017 rav4 hybrid in regards to the interior and the road noise. It made the vehicle feel comparable to a Nissan Versa in regards to engine/road noise. I hope the 2019 rav4 hybrid comes out better.

Transmission defect!!! Do not buy!!!
I bought a new 2019 rav 4 on April of 2019. I didn’t notice it during the test drive, but it jerks and hesitates at pull off from stop signs and red lights. The transmission is faulty. Do not buy. I’m updating this review. About a year later in July of 2020, after I purchased the 2019 RAV4, I called the Toyota dealership again to see if they found a fix for the issue with the transmission. The dealership never acknowledged that the transmission had an issue that they were aware of. I explained to the dealership again that so many people on all of these different websites have put their reviews about the transmission on the RAV4 so how do you not know about it… They still said that they had no known recall on it and for me to call Toyota customer service. While on the phone with them, I had already found an article that was very very reputable and it laid out the issue and the resolution and so I explained to them that the issue has been addressed in this article and the resolution has been addressed and that I wanted them to fix it and so they had no choice but to fix it. When I called Toyota customer service, they too pretended as though they had no clue of the issue or the resolution. Basically the tech had to re-calibrate the electronic control module (ECM). I bought the car in Apr of 2019 but they didn’t fix it until July of 2020. They only fixed it because I forced them too. I sold the car with 22K miles on it. Bottom line is that Toyota didn’t care. Very hurtful experience.

Groaning Noise
I bought my 2019 Toyota Rav4 Adventure last Feb 2019. After driving 3000 miles a grooaning noise occur when running 20 to 40 miles. I went to the dealer and they told me its a transfer case assembly making the noise. Toyota Dealer told me that they cannot fix the car because Toyota Corporation still trying to find the solution. Also told me that its safety to drive and give a TSA number for my complaint. I am not satisfied with the dealer thats why I seek a lemon lawyer. I talked to lemon lawyer and told me that I have a case. So the lemon lawyer file my case and after 3 months toyota buy back the Toyota Rav4 Adventure. Now I am happy and driving a different car. If you guys have any noise to your 2019 Toyota Rav4 Adventure just find a Lemon Lawyer. Don't suffer for long to wait for the recall.
