True to spec 42mi electric-only range for short trips. I use level-2 charger and it takes 2.5 hrs to charge from empty to full. Gas engine drives 490mi from full to empty for long trips and it is very efficient at 35mpg. It's a Toyota with a reliable gas engine and a reputable battery pack, no questions about their longevity for this vehicle. Update: still holding true to 42 miles electric range. Also gas engine is about 400 plus miles range. Form factor is still very modern and in style

This vehicule is the most efficient among the 37 I ever had. Electric range is amasing and if you drive long travel as I did every 6 months you ride on gas with one on the best fuel consumption on the market, this is win win.

The RAV4 Prime melds great gas mileage and decent battery-only travel (42 miles) with serious speed and low-end torque, but also adds a sports car suspension and steering. This thing is just plain fun to drive. And you travel with all the bumps in the road smoothed out and outside noise eliminated by the soundproofing. The sound system is good. I've had better, but it is much better than many vehicles. The XSE version has a much better sound system and leather seats for about another $3k. A full tank and charged battery gives you 600 miles of travel. The menus are super functional and logically laid out. Never had to look anything up in the manual or Google. But the real joy is driving it like a sports car. You will pick up races on the streets or highway if so inclined. Seats and wheel are comfy and heated. Pretty much everything I could ask for, except for a 1/8" plug for my expensive audio player, is included. I'm on my second one and still loving it!
