Exotic look, Camry at heart.
Going from 2000 Celica GTS to 93 MR2, no regret. Nowadays Toyotas are crap, if they can save $1 on every Camry/Corolla they sell they can save millions per year, therefore they now use the cheapest parts possible on every car they build. No oil leak, no major problem after 10 yrs. Stunning automobile. It was in production for almost 10 yrs just like the NSX, RX7, 300ZX, etc.....The golden age of Japanese cars were early 1990s.
mr2's rock!
Best car ever made in my opinion. Affordable, reliable, unique, very solid, absoloute blast driving this car. If you are looking for a sports car, this is exactly what you need...
1993 Toyota MR2 170k on the clock.
Underrated car. Still looks great on the road, especially compared to more modern, bloated sports cars. Handles well. Comfortable. Good on gas. Great balance. T-tops are perfect for the beach weather.
This Car Rocks!
I've had my share of sports cars (Corvette, Trans Am, TR7, RX7, Stealth RT, etc.) and can say that, by comparison, this car is a great car to drive. Picked it up with a whopping 173K miles and everything still works great. This non-turbo seems to have more power than other cars I've had with more HP. Non-turbo has plenty of power. Handles great, grabs the road and doesn't let go. I'd forgotten how much fun driving could be. Toyota really knows how to make a car. This is my 2nd Toyota, I've been very impressed with their reliablity (even at high miles).
ROCKS!
I bought it used and still runs like new. This car is fast. Toyota really surprised me on this car. I did'nt think toyotas could go so fast.
