Great roadster
Being from the era of the British Sport cars, this is a fine replacement for the Austin Healeys, the MGs and the Triumphs of those days, with the comforts of today.
A great mid-engine sports car - the MR2
I will most likely keep my MR2 till I can not drive any more. Sure there are better sports cars, bt you can not get a better one for the price and the gas mileage 25-34 mpg

FUN
Anyone complaining about storage or gas milage is clueless. This is a second car, and it's designed to be fun - and it is! Quick without being obnoxious, very manageable around turns, ergonomic (once you're in!) and plenty of torque even at high end. It's so precise it takes a while to drive with the right touch. For 1/3 the price of a boxter (which we seriously considered) it's a very cool choice.
MR2
The MR2 has stopped my "must have a new car every 2yr itch!" It handles well, is excellent on gas and looks fabulous. Very limited cargo and passenger space will not limit the amount of time you will want to drive your Spyder, it's never enough. If you want to have a least one person a day stop and ask "what kind of car is that?!", this is the car for you! With all that said, don't buy one because current owners enjoy the uniqueness of the MR2 Spyder!
Great car and fun to drive
This is a fantastic car, at a reasonable price that is wonderful to drive. I have owned this car for almost 3 years now and have never had any mechanical problems with it. Be careful on some of the comments above as the 2000 MR2 doesn't have cruise control so I don't understand one of the reviews.
