I like the Vibe's styling better, but I got the Matrix because of the yellow color. It's extremely practical, like an SUV w/o the bad gas mileage. I've fit a push mower and a old clunky stationary bike in the back with the seats folded down (not at the same time although that wouldn't be impossible). The gas mileage is good too; I've averaged 27-30 mpg depending on how hard I've driven. It doesn't bother me but if you're gonna get a yellow car be aware that bugs like yellow cars like they like streetlamps. Compared to other cars the A/C is quick to start cooling during the summer. My only issue with it is that it's not very fun to drive. Maybe next time I'll go for the HHR SS,or the Audi A3.

This is the best car I have ever driven, I am a law enforcment officer and I have driven just about every kind of car you could imagine. The Matrix is a stylish utility vehicle w/sporty appeal<and of coarse RELIABLE>. I love both my Matrix xr's, I just purchased the XR 4WD. I love the fact that it has ABS brakes and the 4WD. I am ready for the winter. <My o3 Matrix gave me no problems last winter, it handled the snow just fine.> This car handles and feels wonderful. This car is a pleasure to drive! I have gotten and keep getting so many compliments on my 2003xr, which I bought in july of 2002.

This little car is fun to drive. It is good on gas milage and with the way the gas prices keep going up.... It's a good thing. I also like how easy it is carry stuff around.The sets are very easy to lay down for road trips or just going around town. Here where I live we can tinit our windows and I have Limo tint on the back 3 windows and a dark tint on the drivers side. The car looks sharpe!!!Great Car....

After months of looking over the various CUV models out there, we finally test drove our Matrix XR. Wow, we fell in love with this car instantly. Since this was replacing the '94 Mercury Tracer that my wife bought brand new, she test drove it first. As soon as we got back to the dealer, and the salesman answered a few questions of ours, my wife said "we'll take it". It has all the features we wanted plus some extras that were thrown in, for an unbelievable price. That first week we owned it, we showed all of our family and friends. There was an emphatic "wow" from all the people that we took it to.

I love my new Matrix. After waiting several weeks for delivery, I like the car even better than I expected. The engine seems quieter than the test car was. The ride is very smooth, and my Matrix (with 17-inch wheels) handles turns nicely. Overall I am extremely pleased with the car.
