Engine throttle response poor dead pedal first 1/4 depression UNSAFE ! Had rental while remote start was being installed same engine but next model up from se, throttle response was much better. Talked to service and he said next model has a better response. But was not willing to give reason why. Being a mechanic for 35 yrs. I believe upper models are programed to run better. Like the car but not happy with this problem or gas mileage. Suppose to get 39 mpg highway best I've seen is 27.4 not to happy about this sales pitch considering I was looking for good mileage.

Just purchased 2018 Camry SE lease. The car looks absolutely sharp no doubt about it. However, 1st off the entune 3.0 app. Is the worst junk ever designed it will not work on the Camry! The instrument panel is confusing, distracting and difficult to navigate the stereo is absolute "junk" with horrible sound, only 1 USB in the new model, console storage is tucked under the dash..wtf! The car shifts awkward as if the tranny is bad. The car is supposedly faster than prior years...hmmm... "not", my lease was up on my prior 2015 Camry and I should have kept it because that car was awesome with no complaints at all. Toyota, you had better start stepping up to the plate.. there is much better competition catching up with much better lease options and price tags! I have always been a Toyota man until now.

JUNK JUNK AND MORE JUNK!

I traded in my 2015 Accord EXL for this on impluse. My family has drove toyotas and we have always loved them, I had a corolla for 12 years and never an issue, so I was not concerned about my impluse decision. My Accord was a great car, I just didn't not like the uncomfortable seats in my Accord, the styling and comfort of the Camry along with the toyota reputation sold me. I wish I would have let the car be out longer, to see what others were saying before I bought this. Don't let the looks fool you. The car has a clumsy transmission that jumps around and searches for gears, if you have to jump on the gas it takes literally.. 2-3 seconds before it kicks in, so good luck pulling out anywhere in a hurry. The engine is loud and rattles like a 10 year old car. The gas door won't open if it's the least bit cold, I have had this happen several times this winter. There is no satelite radio, or cd player. The radio is of poor qaulity or the doors are not sure which but even when on low there is a rattle with the least bit of bass in a song. It is listed as having a precollision warning system. I have yet to see do anyting I am begining to think it's more for looks. My Accord would warn you when you were too close, this doesn't light up, slow the car or anyting. I basically think it's a feature that does nothing. I had a guy stop in front of me 2x on a 70 mph interstate, the car never made a noise, blinked, or reacted. The entertaiment system if that's what you call it is horribly setup, and not userfriendly in the least. It's very archaic. Over all I can say I am exteremly disappointed in this car. I feel that Toyota is hiding major flaws and cheapness in a pretty exterior and some nice interior materials, but once you begin to drive the car it's evident it's not anyting close to an Accord, nor ever will it ever be. If Honda had not ruined the exterior design of the 2018 Accord I would be trading Camry for one, for now I am waiting until I find something I like to come along, once I do I will gladly be unloading this car. As a family who has always loved toyota's and this was the 4th one we have purcahsed wihtin 17 years... I strongly discourage buying a 2018 Camry.

Driving control not great because gear shifting very weird during acceleration. Seat position too high. No HD radio. Only one USB is a joke. Disappointed did not buy Accord for slightly more because I had one before and it felt more refined in most things. Although the doors on the Camry seem thicker and more safe.

I want my 2015 BACK!

My husband decided to surprise me and trade my 2015 Camry SE for a new 2018. While at the dealership, he sent me a picture of it. It's my favorite color, blue. He told me about all the tech advancements and the slight change to the navigation system. HA! If I could undo the trade I would in a HEARTBEAT! I not only lost the trusty in-dash navigation but also SiriusXM radio. I do a lot of driving and I truly miss both of these. Scout has sent me down the wrong way on one-way streets and countless other not so funny incorrect directions.
