Wow Toyota, you did good!
Just finished 1200 mile highway trip and this V6 is amazing. Lots of power and we saw 34.4 overall. Many, many folks have commented on how good looking it is, “can’t be a Camry”. Love the interior and glad Toyota resisted sticking the info screen up in the air like some last minute add on. Many others have even reduced their gas tanks and then talk about how big their trunk is, i.e. Accord. My two tone paint (white with black top) is striking and love the wheels. I traded in my Lexus on this car and couldn’t be happier. I had much trouble finding this car as the XSE must be selling more than Toyota thought and kept being told they were being sold from production line. Could not find the car in Florida and found it in St. Louis. Two years later, all is still fun. My brother has since bought a Camry and a friend did as well. So glad Toyota went with six cylinder over a turbo four. This engine is so smooth and quiet. I also bought a 2019 Camry XLE, so I now have two Camrys. The four cylinder in that car gets 38 mpg. Both cars have all the new safety features and I plan to keep the Camrys for a long time.

good but not great
Capable car but there are others out there that are better. It seems cars are getting smaller on the inside and the passenger is the one who suffers.

Pretty is as pretty does
This iteration is very well-equipped, quiet, handles well, and is quick. The transmission is responsive is sport mode but hunts for the right gear on occasion in the other modes. The car is responsive to steering inputs, stable on the road and corners well (for a sedan). The only problem I have is that the bright metal on the dash reflects into the side window on both sides of the car making the blind spot warning hard to see at times. You would think the designers would have caught that and put a matte finish on the bright chrome (plastic, I think). I traded in my Genesis Rspec coupe and thought I would really miss it (I loved that car), but I don't. We are enjoying the spaciousness, the attractive styling, and the new safety features. It also helped that I felt I got a pretty good deal from the dealership.

I love it but....
I have had my V6 XSE for 2 months. Bought it new off the showroom floor. The 2 glaring setbacks are the Nav/Entune system and the acceleration response. I wont comment on the Entune and Nav because those are not important to me i dont liaten to the radio and i usually know where im going and dont need a robot to tell me where to go. The transmission response is more concerning. It is slow and i ONLY use Sport mode when driving. Once it kicks in you will feel all 300 HP and i almost thought i was in a Corvette, and i have owned 4 Corvettes. Styling and comfort are amazing this car looks like a Lexus and everyone compliments it. If you are picky about technology and like robots to run your life then get an Accord. I will stay with Toyota
