Fun To Drive 2003 Camry XLE-V6
I have over 130,000 miles on mine and I don't want to part with it. Yes, mine is 13 years old and runs like a top. Pros are the reliability, the smooth V-6 on the highway, the visibility from the cabin, the ride on Primacy V-rated rubber, the mpg, the automatic a/c, the huge trunk, the cupholders, the JBL stereo -- the head unit of which I replaced with an Alpine touch screen, but it plays through the JBL amps and speakers and sounds perfect. (The audio upgrade added a hands-free phone and an iPod jack, along with a back-up camera) Cons are the slab-sided styling, the electric window only being auto up/down on the driver's side, no memory seats, hmmm, that's about it. Overall, the best beater back and forth to work car you could ever hope for. Same V-6 drivetrain as the 03 Lexus, but smaller body so it moves! UPDATE. Now I have 142,000 miles on it and it's still good, except the mechanic told me the engine mounts are starting to go. I plan to buy a new 2018 Camry XLE V-6 when they're available, and keep my old one for a placeholder on the street. 15 years out of a car -- not bad.

Toyotas win my vote all day long.
Hi I have owned volvos s80s 2001 2000.I have owned many cars in my time sedans and sports cars .my experience with Toyota cars are the best .from Hondas expensive to fix.expensive to buy .volvos poor reliability.Mercedes way overated.Pontiac clumsy and poor feel to the roads .uninvolving.to BMW very old fashion and drive heavy and noisy.lousy gas consumption to hugely expensive repair .rear shocks on a Mercedes 500 2003 sedan 600each example .Volkswagen very noisy and overheating pure build quality.step below the Mercedes Nissan very cheaply made and overrated .my 350z had more rattles in it than a rattlesnake.it never idled correctly.Subaru sti had worst high speed feel to it felt. Unsafe n brakes were horrible.Subaru's feel like tin cans .mazdas worst of al cars .if any makes match longivity of a Toyota car is a Chevy .ford .but fix it again tomorrow..Camry v6 excellent car even at 176k miles .gets fab gas mileage 30mpg for a big car b v6 power.not very fast but acceptable.roomy.very clear instrument panels.I hav a 2003 Camry v6 black..paint still shines .cheap repairs .easy fix maintenance.one exception the timing belt and water pump every 90k.miles .Toyota are your best bet. Resale value .longivity.easy drive .comfortable seating roomy.Avalon Camry corolla your best buys .celicas mr 2.supra risky buys with head gasket problems and faulty instruments.Toyota make best cars but not sporty not fast not stylish can be boring to drive .but it beats a car in the shop all the time a car falling apart but looks good. A car that costs you an arm and leg to keep.a car that's super fast but the gas station is your daily stop with 93octane .iv had all the cars .Toyota's win my vote ..

ultimate camry
hey, toytoa camry is so reliable that it's better than my 1996 toyota camry.
Camry SE V6
I like the car. It's roomy. The navigation system is very good. My main complaints are: 1 The engine(V6) is way under powered. 2. The transmission is very very unresponsive. The car can't get out of it's own way. The dealer says it a break in period thing(I don't believe it). They say Toyota never has any problems with their transmission. Well mine stinks. It's too bad too because my rating would be much higher.
211000 miles and going strong
At 211000 miles I am thinking of selling. AC compressor went out, at 140000, and timing belts at recommended intervals, other than that mechanically perfect except for the radio. It has never died anywhere, the V6 still runs as if it was new, though it has developed a front end rattle over bumps. The turning radius is amazingly good, and with the ABS it has saved me a few times in snow and wet weather. Gets about 25 mpg on the highway, which is tolerable with reg. gas. This is my 4th Camry V6, starting in 1986, and its the best of the lot, though the 93 is still going strong with my son in law at 275,000 miles. Why would I switch? To buy a new one, though this still looks great.
