Toyota Lexus
A very nicely crafted, refined, and roomy, comfortable sedan. I have driven and/or ridden in several late model 'Luxury' brands, and this vehicle equals and usually exceeds the standards of those vehicles!
Really nice car
If you like comfort, quiet ride and a quiet cabin at highway speeds then you really should consider this car. The car has plenty of power to accelerate quickly, as in turnpike merges and passing situations. The four wheel disk brakes are sure and responsive with no fade noted. Interior and exterior fit and finish are excellent. This car has very chiseled and angular lines in contrast with the rounded lines of the earlier Avalons and competing sedans, however, there are a lot of second generation Avalons on the road. The fact that the Toyota is known for reliability is what sells, in spite of the external style lines.
review of 2002 avalon xls
stopped by dealership on the way to test drive a mazda. the toyota avalon ride was so superior that we went right back and purchased the 2002 avalon xls. the last new car we bought was in 1989. we keep a car forever. my husband says i still have a silly grin on my face when i drive!!!! i don't care for the lower front. i have to be careful when parking while facing a curb so that i don't hit. it isn't always high enough to clear.
but one thing
the only thing I can say wrong is the front bucket seats don't have enought padding. On a long trip they get very unconfrontable.
Great Car
EXCELLENT
