Completely Changed My Opinion

Initially I did not want this car. My spouse was adamant that we buy an electric and this was the one that met our needs. Cons: Some of the gadgets are unnecessary. Instead of more arcade games i would’ve preferred better cup holders or interior lighting. Also if you are not a people person be prepared for everyone to speak to you when you have your falcon doors open. Infrastructure: Yes the industry has multiple charging compatibility issues. Having said that, we have owned it for 3 years and the amount of charges in that short time has increased dramatically. I drive long trips across the Midwest and have never had any issues. Even at Lake Ozark there is a super charger at Target. Pros: It is fast. Believe it or not probably one of the fastest cars you will ever know. Incredibly safe. Yes there are a couple of idiots that set their cruise or auto drive and then decide to abandon driver responsibilities. That is ignorance of humans. The car itself is incredibly safe. THE BEST RELIABILITY OF ANY CAR WE HAVE EVER OWNED: This fact alone leads me to give it 5 stars. I previously owned multiple MBs. I also bought many of them new. I thought they were far sexier than my Tesla but there is nothing sexy about constantly scheduling service appointments. I have had ZERO issues with my car after 3 years! Snow and weather: I cannot believe how well this car does in the snow! Upgrades: It is amazing that via software upgrades you get the benefit of increased range, new features, and of course we just got FULL self driving which is going well. Overall I would tell you this is a car I originally didn’t want. Having said that, it is an incredibly reliable, safe and convenient car for our family that we will have for a very long time.

Do not buy a tesla x. Tesla has the worst service of any car company on the market. And for the price of the x, it just isn't worth it. Delay after delay. They never meet the times they give you. They have cost me a lot of money. You can never get a hold of anyone on the phone. They aren't willing to accommodate you in any way. They will lie to your face. Go with another company.

Terrible battery range and customer support

I bought a Model X with a warranty from Tesla, warranty of course includes the battery. It is rated for 237 miles of range. Within four days of purchase, I noted I am getting 40 miles on it before it is at zero. The car is also losing 24 miles per day when it's not being driven. Published documents indicate you shouldn't lose more than 5-10/day. Their service support indicates it is completely normal and refuses to do anything about the battery - in fact they told me my car's battery is outperforming the average Model X. I don't understand how this is normal. How is it normal that the car only is able to do 1/6 of its rated range? The average american drives 18 miles to work - good luck making it home. It's misleading advertising and poor warranty support. I wish I wouldn't have bought the car. Buyer beware.

I had a problem while driving on a highway, my car just shut down, the screen went black and I lost Bluetooth and sound. I called Tesla to figure out why, they refused to help me unless I gave them my vin # Who in their right mind knows their vin #? No one. The agent hung up on me, refused to help, created a dangerous situation on the road by insisting that I look into my phone for a vin # while driving. I felt abused and abandoned. This new technology should be very concerned with their customers safety, but Tesla doesn't seem to be. I absolutely hate their customer service, their salesmanship and attitude towards their customers. It really does seem they don't give a crap if you are ok. It feels like they are training their employees to be aggressive to their customers. I had to drive with a black screen for miles not knowing if the car can just stop in the middle of a highway
