Used 2023 Subaru Crosstrek Consumer Reviews
Trekie
Like the room, sits higher than the Impresa, has a lot of standard safety features, gets good gas mileage (28). This was a base model. The only con I have is the 2.0 4 cylinder does not have a lot of take off. No trouble doing 70 on an interstate, and the engines are very reliable.

Now A Subaru Fan.
My son leased a Subaru Crosstrek first. I was very impressed with the quality of the vehicle and the options he got on it. So, I decided that I would try a Subaru Crosstrek as my next lease. I was not disappointed with the Crosstrek I chose. The base model Crosstrek comes with some options you might think would be upgrades on other vehicles, but they are standard. The price was in my ballpark and made my lease very affordable. I must say the Crosstrek is pleasure to drive, and you only have to look at how many are on the road. The seats are comfortable and there is plenty of room in the back seat area. While driving, your visibility is very good and the sensors that the vehicle comes equipped with, work exceptionally well. I'm a senior driver and I really enjoy this Subaru, but it is a vehicle for all ages. I would highly recommend trying a Subaru Crosstrek or any of the Subaru vehicles for that matter.

Ideal 4 me
Great size: fits easily into parking spots even inside of urban garages, yet lets me carry everything I need...including husband and dogs. Zippy enough without being fuel-thirsty. Enough fancy buttons to make life comfortable, not so many that it becomes difficult to know what to push. Love this car.

2024 one year and 9 months from purchase
UPDATE: The good stuff: Adequate clearance. Easy to do your own oil changes if necessary. Yep, goes through mud and snow...like a Subaru. Mileage varies hugely from (calculator-verified) 20 city to 38 highway IF you hold a sweet spot at 65 mph with the wind. Yep, over the years I've found wind resistance to be... "interesting" with various Subarus. Comfortable, excellent headroom. The manual 6-speed+ 2.0 L is predictably slow but still fun. '23 was Subaru's last year for manual by the way. The wheel styling this year looks great. Uh...not-so-good: The head unit (infotainment) is hugely outdated (still has a CD player for instance) and is "buggy" with even simple (talk to call) operations. My eight year old competitive vehicle (2015) was flawless by comparison. My current (2019) EV is also way ahead on functionality. Dealer system update was absolutely no help. The accessible storage space (front seat) is lacking a lot. The (two) USB ports are nicely tucked away and virtually inaccessible. They're best accessed by lying on the front seat to see them if you don't want to damage them! I actually purchased USB extension adapter cables to mitigate the problem. The really questionable: Unlike my earlier Subarus (Loyale and Outback) the vehicle has a nasty tendency to drift even at cautious speeds on ice at urban intersections. Would I buy again? The good stuff (manual transmission) is fun, it's a comfortable drive for a taller person, and the HIGHWAY mileage is pretty good. The bad stuff is really annoying, possibly hazardous. The infotainment will be a huge disappointment guaranteed.

Love my Subie!
My Crosstrek is perfect! I live in a rural area and my driveway is a quarter mile long gravel one that goes uphill and curves into the woods. No car could be better for traversing it. I bought the all-weather package so I can put my backseat down to haul dogs or large items. I recently put my lawnmower in there and took it to the shop. This car works for me and is cool looking, too.
