Stylish and super fun to drive!

I have the SR version in orange with a black roof and sleek low profile tires. I already put 30K miles on it and absolutely adore everything about this car, the only CON that I can think of, is the low resolution back up camera, which I believe Nissan already corrected in newer models. The list of positives is long, but the most important ones are: how easy and fun this car is to drive, is also very confortable (specious), it comes with all kind of sensors, and they really help, the car 'vips' anytime someone or something is moving towards you. In comparison, my wife bought a newer Toyota Highlander which cost an extra $20k and came with less sensors. The Sentra's info system is extremely easy to use, the same thing goes for Apple Car which always sinks smoothly with your phone or any other phone (another big difference with our highlander). As for future improvements, a hold button (a must), a metallic Nissan logo on the steering wheel (currently cheap plastic) and electronic parking would be nice. The only car that I think is better in this segment is the Honda Civic and Honda HR-V, However the Civics will cost you an extra $2k for a similar trim.

Dream car!

I love the sporty look and all the features! Remote start, heated seats and wheel, automatic temp set, lots of safety features, even shows the speed limit of where you’re driving. Nitrogen in the tires, door edge protector strips… I love this car,

We have the SV with premium package. Quite a step up from the SV trim. Nissan removed the SL trim level and offers the premium package with the SV trim. Our Sentra looks very much like an Infiniti interior. The increase in price from SV to premium package was minimal for the amount of luxury we got. The ride is very quiet and very smooth. The car is roomy. It has practically all of the same features as my Honda CRV Touring. We went from an Infiniti (2012) to Nissan and STILL feel like we have an Infiniti car.

Almost Hybrid MPG

I have owned my 2023 Sentra for 14 months now. I love it. 22,000 miles on it and I am averaging 40 mpg. Yes, averaging 40. I drive this 70 miles per day mostly on the freeway. Plus I drive it kindly ,not hard, so it has rewarded me. Today, I got 50.1 mpg on my 35 mile drive to work. It is comfortable, quiet, and smooth. I can accelerate from a stoplight and not go above 2200 rpms and keep up with traffic. It has enough power to go up an on-ramp to the freeway and get to 70 mpg well before merging. That is enough power for me. I've had no issues with the car. My complaints are minor. The automatic lights are too sensitive. Sometimes the CVT doesn't know where the sweet spot is when going 25-30mpg (in the neighborhood). I can feel it figuring out the correct ratio. It's a very minor thing that I only feel occasionally. I don't notice it at any other speed. The cool thing is that I can use the pedal to get the exact torque ratio to "coast" at 25 mph for over 1/2 mile. I wish Nissan would have put soft materials on the back doors like they have on the front. Heck, even my 2005 Elantra has better amenities in the back! But, I will say that the back seats are extremely comfortable. Better than most I've sat in. I love the interior design and the exterior is the best looking of all the compact cars.

The Breaks are terrible!

I love everything about my Nissan Sentra, except for the god awful sound it makes everything have to use my breaks for a complete stop. They grind- they crunch- loud even my neighbors standing at the bus stop ask me if this is a new car and why does it sound so bad?! Nissan has done nothing to try and help the sound- They say it’s normal and I am safe. They haven’t even recommended replacing my brakes. I’ve been out of work in the shop to try and reproduce the sound it’s never as loud as it is the first break in even left the car overnight and they didn’t tell me and took it out without knowing you have to use the breaks- and the noise was nowhere near as loud - This is so frustrating that a 3rd party auto mechanic also said it’s their cheap parts and manufacturers- the noise isn’t “hurting” my brakes- but it is definitely noticeable and extremely unsatisfactory for a brand new car. Step up Nissan- I reported the problem around 4k miles- I use my car everyday for work and have taken a road trip and now have 13k miles!!!! Insane that nothing has been done.
