Love My Sentra SL
I purchased my Sentra 2 months ago and have 5200 miles on it. I traded a 2012 Rogue for it, because I got extremely poor gas mileage one the Rogue. I am averaging approximately 33 miles per gallon around town (that is me figuring out the mileage when I fill up). I don't know how the person who is only getting around 300 miles per a tank is driving, but I have never gotten less than 350 per a tank and that was in the beginning. I got the Leather Pkg, The Premium Pkg, and the Technology Pkg. I actually had a 2009 Altima also, and I like this car better, to me the front seat is very comfortable, I was worried since it was not power. I would highly recommend this car.
HATE MY NISSAN SENTRA
This is my first car that I have bought on my own, I have owned a Honda Accord with 140,000 miles and a Toyota Avalon with 120,000 miles. My Nissan started falling apart at 50,000 miles and I have taken excellent care of it! I wanted a Kia but everyone told me to get a Honda or Nissan so I went ahead and got a Sentra because I thought that it would be reliable. The car overheats, I've brought it to three different machanics and they can't find out why it is overheating. The transmission shakes and has just suddenly stopped when I am in drive but have the car stopped at a red light. The car has trouble shifting gears and has a horrible get up. I did go from a V6 in my 2 door Accord to this but it still has a slow start.. I'm just really dissapointed with this car. I will be going back to a Honda or Toyota!

DO NOT BUY
Bought a used 2013 Nissan Sentra SL with 15,000 miles on it in 2015. Had to replace the transmission at 41,000 miles and the new transmission has not fixed any of the car's issues. Almost $7,000 down the drain on repairs and the car is still unsafe. This was my first car and I will NEVER buy a Nissan or let any of my loved ones buy one ever again!!!! I am a college student who goes to school out of state, and I cannot rely on this car to get me safely back and forth. I do not have the funds to continue fixing it or buy a new car. This has been overall a terrible experience and I would advise anyone thinking about buying a Nissan with a CVT engine to save your time and money and buy another car. Nissan knows the cars are unsafe and are being sued for it. Don't be fooled by the interior like my 16 year old self was. This car is not safe and it will spend more time in the shop than on the road.

Never a Nissan on my life!
Transmission got broken when my wife traveling to CA, the dealer on Tracy CA, and only one on the area spend weeks to get it fix. After several months we sent the car tot Tulsa OK to be used by my son at college; the car presented some noise getting worse with time. When taking the car to the leader it was determine by the dealer that it was a result of an error performed during the transmission replacement. The technician left a bolt loose or too tight stripping the bolt and causing a possible safety issue. The dealer kept the car for 10 days on a "waiting for parts status" after these ten days and calling and pushing the dealer for the repair od the vehicle. We were notified that the dealer at CA denied our claim and there is nothing they can do. I contacted Nissan directly and tried to get them to honor the extended warranty and their response was. Nothing that they can do, that the dealers are "independent" of Nissan and I should deal directly with the dealer at Tracy CA. Nissan is not being accountable for the bad performance or training of their technician or services provided by their dealers. Sure they will push you to utilize their services as for warranty requirements, but they are not willing to cover for their mistakes. Now I was required to sign to take my vehicle back and release them for any responsibility because now it is a safety issue. If you are expecting that you will have a NATIONAL service form Nissan you are wrong and you are left alone to be the victim of a poor service and quality of their products. Save the time and lets switch TOYOTA, at least they are honoring every service and job performed on my Toyota Tundra; what a difference on service and quality ! Never NISSAN ! 2019 Update I got the car fixed and got ride of it as soon as possible.... Please use of my experience and stay away of the NISSAN products. We are the customers and we have the power to change the quality of the services and products we pay. Always keep in mind that when a customer pays for a product we are not just paying for the car, we pay for the quality and service of the car! Nissan shall understand that they should offer the same services as they demand the excellence of the quality and service form their suppliers. It is too bad that they do not apply such quality polices to their customers. NEVER NISSAN!
