We chose the highest package with all bells and whistles! I only have had a month to drive this vehicle so many things I cannot give a review yet (maintenance etc.) However, the whole family likes it very much. The highlight is its panoramic roof! You can bring the outside in! We also like to color of the seats, warm cow-skin color although they call it with different name LOL.

Love the features but hate the reliability

I live in Quebec Canada. I have a 2018 Nissan Rogue Pro-Pilot. I love all the features and the price was very competitive compared to all the other SUV's in category. I have been having lots of problems with the SUV. At 18,000 miles the transfer case had to be replaced. Then something went wrong with one of the modules and the doors kept on opening and closing when we are driving. Now the heater fan went. It is making a loud noise. There is only 24,000 miles on the car and most of that was highway driving. I will never buy a Nissan vehicle again. These things should not have happened.

That it is not sold as a 6 cylinder, but has good performance. One feature that this vehicle does not have is lighting in the storage/trunk area. It would also be nice if the back door closed automatically or had push button or some sort of easier closing.

Hastily assembled, hastily designed

John Ho, 12/16/2017
2018 Nissan Rogue SV 4dr SUV AWD (2.5L 4cyl CVT)

This vehicle was not thought out, designed, or assembled very diligently. My review is based on an all day test drive of the top of the line SV. The dash looks nice but peering around the rest of the interior, my eyes were drawn to poor fit and finish of several of the plastic interior panels. The interior feels closed in with huge C and D pillars that severely block rearward visibility. The more time I spent in it, the more design oversights I noticed. The sunroof is too far back and small, the exterior dimensions lead you to think the interior is roomy but it is small in ratio to the exterior. The backseat comfort seems like an afterthought. Spend 10 minutes sitting in the back and you realize it is not for long jaunts. The seating position puts your knees upwards and the visibility out the sides, front and rear is obstructed. It was loud back there too on the freeway. On the exterior, the paint had lots of orange peel, there were panel fitment issues, and uneven gaps. On the road it was a pleasure to corner, steer, brake, and accelerate with a good road feel. However, there was pronounced tire/ wind/ road noise most notably when riding in the back seat as a passenger where it was much louder and difficult being part of the front seat conversation. Under the hood was not well laid out. The engine was less than an inch from the passenger side frame rail and and the whole layout of lines and hoses looked like a thrown together mess. A better vehicle for the money this is not.

I bought a 2018 SV Rogue, gotta say it looks great! But after driving it for 3 weeks I have the sensation my car sometimes trembles at a stops, ,2 months later the audio system freezes frequently, went to Nissan to guest an answer, and I was told to make a video when I am having that problem, the problem is I don't know when it's going to freeze and I am driving when that happens, second the trunk stopped working. I already purchased the car, can't do anything.

Customer Service at HQ in Peril

While I don't expect everything to be perfect but I do expect customer service and improvements. I have now had 2017 Rouge and now a 2018 Rogue with same radio head issues. I wife has a 6 month old Sentra turbo and it has similar issues. In my Rogue, they even replaced by head in my 2018 but to no avail, same issues exist. However, my biggest disappointment is with Nissan customer support. I was told repeatedly to all Nissan customer support by 3 dealerships because all three said Nissan doesn't listen to them. As a result, I have made over 15 calls into nissan at this point and on my last call I was told was only a 2 previously documented calls....???? I told them I can show them my mobile phone call log. Anyways, I've been assign a customer advocate with a case number two weeks ago. I made one call to the rep and now two week later, that person is gone. No call forwarding, no followup, nothing. Nissan again has dropped the ball on ongoing issues. Nissan appears to be focused on obtaining new customer rather making their current vechicles work and existing customer happy. My family and businesses will never buy Nissan vehicles based the total lack of Nissan USA resolving issues and cold climate design issues. The dealership and service departments are stuck in the middle. I feel that Nissan has given up on its loyal customers.

$38,000 rip off

Homer Deming, 10/26/2018

I will never purchase another Nissan product the Nissan Rouge I purchased for around $38,000 had its cvt transmission go out at 90,000 miles and a $4,000 repair bill. Nissan knew they had a problem with the cvt transmissions and extended the warranty on them but only on some models of course it didn't include the model I purchased . I plan on spreading the word about Nissan and how they do not stand behind the poorly engineered cvt transmissions. This car is a 2015 Nissan Rouge not 2018.

The mechanical part of the vehicle is great but the idiotic electronics are poorly designed and get confused or fail regularly. Even something as small as no digital speedo show how little thought and even less testing went into this D class cockpit. Switches at knee height and out of sight, horrible navigation, confused communication between dash screens, infotainment shuts down and restarts. Been into service 3 times. Try Chrysler’s Uconnect system instead. Far superior!!! Update 9/5/19 Vehicle was so unsatisfactory I had the dealer buy it back and bought a F150. Never purchasing Nissan again.

My big thing is no digital speedometer? With all the technology,no digital reading on speedometer. Has a digital average speed though! Rest of car is basic. Great gas mileage, and that is what I was wanting . Road noisey at higher speeds. I have owned most of simulator suv's Honda,Toyota, gmc ,Subaru all have some hold backs.

A. The vehicle 2018 is terribly noise during acceleration, and had a terrible vibration at two speeds. Took back to dealer and they somewhat improved the vibration after a 12+ hour service call. They insinuated they realigned the motor mounts. Problem still evident but greatly improved. B.) The instrument buttons are virtually impossible for this 70 year old guy to read (with good sight) to read. C. The gas fill up is on the wrong side of the car, upset me and others at gas stations. C additional the sticker gas mileage is 20% over rated by my measurements. D-Good News traded it in for a 2018 Nissan Pathfinder and am very pleased- Took a $2,500 hit,but was worth it. GOOD LUCK if you buy one of these Dogs.

I rented a Nissan Rouge for a week, during the winter season. The heating is horrible compared to Toyota. I have driven the car on a highway mostly using the ECO mode, and have never reached 33mpg. The acceleration is terrible very slow comparing to the same SUV models. To connect my iPhone with a Bluetooth was a kind of pain till I figure out that the name is not My car it's my Rouge. To turn off daily highlights was a kind of tricky and overcomplicated. I definitely will not consider buying Rouge.

With 20000 miles on our Rogue, we are still happy with it. Disappointed that the TMV has dropped so much compared with either a Rav4 (which we didn't care for) and the CRV (which we liked). So that is why I marked the value down to a poor rather than excellent. Have learned to live with the poor acceleration and the illogical controls. Handling is also subpar. Appear the Nissan Brand is falling rapidly as well do the mismanagement at the top. Will stick with either a Toyota or Honda next time.

Not for me

This car drives very well; no complaints about acceleration or handling. It feels very safe. But visibility is limited. It's like sitting below deck on a barge. Driver's seat cannot be raised high enough (I am 5'6). You cannot see out of it; you are totally dependent on the mirrors (and the back-up camera, which I haven't learned to use). This makes this nice-looking car hard to park. The doors are extremely heavy (for an older person) and their stop intervals when opening and closing are not convenient. Cargo space is limited to make the back seat area more spacious, which some might prefer. If you like to sit up straight and have the driver's seat adjusted accordingly, the front seat area has a thick, tank-like, confining feel with not much room to get your legs in and out without bumping your knees. All of this is in comparison with the feel of a 2007 Honda CR-V, my previous car.

Just traded our 14 Sante Fe for as n 18 Rogue. It's a comfortable ride and actually fun to drive! So many features on our SV model. Blind spot warning, heated seats, steering wheel, adaptive cruise, autolift gate just name a few. Very quiet and surprisingly quick for a cvt. Loved our Sante Fe but engine issues at 77,000.

Comfy car

This is a very comfy car. I’ve had mine for a couple months. Here’s what I think so far… the pros: car has awesome gas mileage, comfy seats and steering and a lot of space for passengers and storage. Cons: feels like your driving in a tin can, horrible horrible connectivity with your phone and apple car play I have to pull over almost everyday or sit in my driveway and mess around with the system in order to connect and sometimes it doesn’t even so I drive without it, cheap feeling hardware and the fact that only the driver seat is 5 (however you say it.) it also has very slow acceleration but it’s probably due to the 4 cyl engine. UPDATE: I love my 2018 rogue sv, definitely a huge step up from my 2011 bmw that had nothing compared to it. Things I like about my rogue is that it has a nice screen, not to small and not to big. I like that’s it’s comfortable to be in, the heated seats and feels nice driving. I LOVE the mileage I get! I fill up once a week and don’t fill up until a week later. I like how much space there is and that it doesn’t feel like your driving a huge SUV. The things I don’t like about this car is the horrible, horrible connectivity to the apple car play. Which isn’t that bad since it has no effect on the cars quality of safety. I also don’t think it’s right that it’s branded as All-wheel drive, since it’s only all-wheel drive if your going under 20 miles per hour. If a car says AWD you’d think it would be, you know, all wheel drive 24/7. I think all of the seats should be power seats, but that might just be me. But it’s still a very nice car and I like it a lot.

There is mold growing in the in-cabin filter. I have tried everything to clean it out. It is moldy again within 3-4 months. The car reverses in drive and drives in reverse when it feels like it. The display constantly goes black and the volume cannot be changed in the radio. When it snows, the front end collision light is constantly. AWD kicks off at 19mph. Air comes through the door seals, starting at year 3. Four recalls and only one that Nisan has a fix for because the key may disengage and the engine will shut off.

Very dangerous in a place not do well lit. Wow. This is really a trip. This problem really need to b fixed. Also the armrest is to short and to far back there is so much the seat can b adjusted

I "had" to buy this car because it was the only thing I could afford at the time. I am VERY VERY happy I did. It has been so reliable and I have had no issues with it at all. I trust it completely.

Very fun to drive. Responsive and solid. Very reliable and pretty (mine is black.) Not as quiet or cushy as my Pathfinder but very good ride.

I bought my Rogue brand new in 2018, an end of the year sale was going on, and since I had been renting and test driving all the SUV's in its class, it was an easy decision. Now, nearly 5 years later, I just love my Rogue. The mileage is excellent, the ride is very, very nice, as well as a nice smooth ride, it's a very quiet ride. I bought the SV model, so it does come with some pretty nice options. I love the remote lift gate. I have absolutely no complaints, just praise. No problems whatsoever. I would highly recommend the Nissan Rogue to anyone in the market for a wonderful new vehicle. Oh, and no complaints about the transmission, it gets accelerates at a decent rate. It's certainly not a muscle car, so I'm not expecting it to "burn rubber"!

The Rogue by itself if a nice car but I’ve had nothing but trouble with the electronics system. It was constantly getting shorted out. I missed multiple appts when it had drained the battery and have had to call AAA to get a jump 5 times. I kept telling the service department what it was causing the battery drain but no one would believe me because they had to charge me $100 every time (outside of the original warranty) to do a diagnostic to get a code to tell them what I had been telling them for months, that it was the back tailgate shorting out the battery. I was forced to buy a new battery even though the one I had in there was still within the 3 year period of the warranty. It then continued to drain the new one within a year of getting that one. Twice! Because I’d gone through the 4 jumpstarts allowed by AAA I had to pay $100 for them to come the 5th time! I finally had to call Nissan Corporate to get some retribution. I still haven’t gotten any satisfaction. Also, can’t understand why when driving in the rain with windows open (I live in Hawaii) and wipers on it drives all the rain into the car and into your lap. Why didn’t they put like “J channels” on the body to make the rain go over the car instead of into the car?! I’ve told them also that the steering is getting iffy. It wanders and doesn’t hold the road as it should. I’ve owned, raced, and driven multiple vehicles and I generally can tell when something is wrong with my car, especially if I’ve owned it for 5 years!

My transmission needed a replacement at 95,000 miles even though I drive very conservatively. The dealership charged me $7500.00 for the repair/replacement!

So far my 2018 SL is rock solid. Everything works great. Yes it's slow but I wasn't expecting much with speed on a reasonably priced, well built, good on gas family car.

It's slow. Multi le wiring issues. Head and tail lights often don't work though bulbs fuses and relays have been checked and replaced. Door sensor on passenger side keeps going out. Heater though checked and supposedly fixed takes forever to heat up.
