2022 Nissan Pathfinder Platinum 4dr SUV 4WD (3.5L 6cyl 9A)

Waited 4ever for the 2022 Pathfinder. Traded my 2017 Nissan Maxima on 7/21/21 to purchase a 2022 Nissan Pathfinder Platinum. WORST MISTAKE!. The 2022 Nissan Pathfinder Platinum VIN 5N1DR3DK8NC200906 is a lemon. On 8/3/21 the control screen stopped working. No visible controls. No speedometer, no odometer, no gears, nothing. Returned vehicle to dealership on 8/4/21. The vehicle was a hazard to drive with no visible signs of control. The vehicle was returned to me on 8/23/21. I returned the vehicle again on 9/15/2021 when on September 13 and 14 the control screen would not come on. The vehicle was returned to me on 9/15/2021 because the screen miraculously cut on so the service department said they could not duplicate the problem. I could not drive the Pathfinder from 9/18 - 10/3/21 due to medical issues. On 10/3/21 I attempted to back the vehicle out of my garage. The screen flashed on and then off. I called the service department again to report the problem. I could not drive the vehicle to dealership's service department at that time. The vehicle was returned to the dealership on October 14, 2021 with the screen still blank. I had already initiated a lemon law claim against Nissan Motor Corporation. I never regained custody of the vehicle after I returned it to the dealership on October 14, 2021. On November 11, 2021 Nissan Corporation offered me $10,000 to repurchase the vehicle from me because it could not be repaired. What Nissan offered to repurchase the vehicle was shocking. I sought the advice of two lemon law attorney's, each telling me the offer was standard under the Maryland Lemon Law. I lost my 2017 maxima that I traded in, was never refunded the four monthly payments to Nissan Finance, the insurance, nor the cost of the tag and title. During the entire time I paid for my own car rental which I could not get reimbursed for. I am still financially and mentally broken from this ordeal. Needless to say I cannot even now afford to purchase another vehicle. I have been driving for 50 years and owned a number of vehicles. I have never had such a bad experience with a vehicle.

Buyer's Remorse 2022 Pathfinder Platinum

Buyer's Remorse after 6 months, 01/21/2022
2022 Nissan Pathfinder Platinum 4dr SUV (3.5L 6cyl 9A)

I purchased a 2022 Pathfinder Platinum 7/9/21. Initially, the tech, platinum features, size, design, etc were enough to win me over for the price point at right under $50k. Immediately you notice lackluster acceleration and numb steering feel. The 2020 Murano which I was continuously put in as a loaner felt more peppy and agile, and that isn't saying much for the Pathfinder. In the first week of ownership I noticed the Infotainment was extremely laggy and slow and the driver side view mirror glass had a constant vibration while driving. Dealer ordered a new mirror which arrived in October and after the vehicle being in shop for over 30 days to handle the now 5 recalls, have the mirror replaced, and address my other issues (slow screens, rattles, front end clunking, vehicle shimmying on highway on graded road surfaces) I get a call saying everything is fixed and complete. New mirror vibrated as much or more as first, recalls performed, front rotors resurfaced for the front end clunk but did not solve problem as it seems it was suspension related. My reverse cameras, maps, dashboard, almost any screen would freeze randomly and dealer could never duplicate. brought back to dealer in December 21 at my first 5k mile service and addressed mirror issue again. Dealer kept for 3 more days to try and "experiment" on in house fixes. They say Nissan is aware of the glitches in the infotainment system and does not have an update for the software yet. They call and say the vehicle is ready and they replaced the glass, glued it better, and it doesn't vibrate as bad. I pick it up to find they had replaced my brand new mirror with a mirror removed from someone else vehicle doing the same thing, complete with scratches, scuffs, dried bugs and mud all over it. When I addressed this, the dealer told me to bring it to a collision center and have it buffed out. I was done. Meanwhile, other small issues would be having to reconnect your iPhone to wireless CarPlay almost every time you get in the vehicle, Electronic shifter sometimes not shifting into the correct gear, transmission shifting at rough shift points, auto start/stop causing the vehicle to jump forward when it re-engages, rear auto braking being entirely too sensitive and slamming on the brakes more times than I can remember when not even necessary, reverse camera freezing while backing up at least once a week. This new model was rushed, has many hidden flaws, major software/computer issues, questionable build quality due to most recalls relating to welds, rattling interior parts all over and something other than tire/alignment issues causing this vehicle to behave poorly over certain sections of highway. It's sad that Nissan has no fix for any issue mentioned above and the consumer has to pay the price of poor quality by living with it, or spending money to get out of it. Read posts on pathfindertalk.com and it's evident many owners are having far more problems than I did and resale on this model year is not going to look good. I got rid of mine January 2022 and couldn't be more relieved. NEVER AGAIN.

So many things could have been right with this car, but we are disappointed! Purchased brand new 1 of 2 on the lot has 1800 miles now. - Lights in the cab don't work right - 4 or 5 open recalls - The console in the vehicle is slow loading or changes setting on its own - Knocking noise coming from the carriage.. It's in the shop now and found that there is problems with the Struts of the vehicle. This should not be an issue at this point. - Went to turn windshield wipers on and the rear wiper fell off I am pretty sure they rushed this vehicle out and now who knows what else is going to go wrong. Pretty sure Nissan Manufacture knows about these issues already and still put these out on the road with major faults. Even when this car is fixed (if parts every arrive) I won't trust it!

More cons than pros in the updated pathfinder

Unhappy with Nissan, 12/06/2021
2022 Nissan Pathfinder SV 4dr SUV 4WD (3.5L 6cyl 9A)

Pros- love the matte gray color. Interior is comfortable Trunk is roomy for have a 3rd row on a smaller SUV. Cons- No 2nd row bench in higher trims, so I had to settle for a lower trim to accommodate my family. Main screen constantly glitches. Was told the recall would fix that but it still glitches. -back up screen freezes, phone calls won’t end and stay frozen on the screen, etc…. Dealership wants to charge almost $3000 to install tow package -which was unavailable to me as a stock option due to the bench row seating issue previously mentioned. Gas MPG is abysmal. Averaged 16 mpg on our last road trip. The BIGGEST issue- transmission keeps locking up. Have literally almost been in 4 wrecks when I’m driving along and my car just starts vrooming like it’s stuck between gears. Dealership said it’s not throwing error codes and no other reported problems so they don’t know what to fix. It’s scary and makes my $45000 2022 pathfinder all but undrivable because it don’t know when or where it will happen to me next.

2022 Nissan Pathfinder SL 4dr SUV 4WD (3.5L 6cyl 9A)

I spent a lot of time reviewing cars for my next purchase. Once I found out the 2022 Pathfinder was going to come out without the CVT transmission I was sold. Then I just had to wait for one to show up at the dealer. My dealer got 2 models in around the middle of July so I immediately went to the dealer and they had already sold the Platinum version so I went ahead and looked at the SL. I am glad I chose the SL because it saved me about 6,000. I can do without the premium audio and moon roof amongst other features not available. The quality of the interior and exterior is great. The ride is great. I have zero issues with the vehicle. We took a beach trip approximately 8.5 hours one way with six people, the youngest being 17, and we had no issues with the third row comfort (2nd row just has to move their seats up a little). Accelerated nice through the mountains of WV and VA, no power issues. I did have to have a roof mounted cargo carrier to fit all of the luggage and essentials. The only issue I have is the auto start stop feature. I would think that this would place a lot of strain on the car starter. I wish they would alow you to turn it off by default. They did provide a button to turn it off easily, I just have to remember to turn it off when I start the car. Again, this is a great car and I am very pleased with the purchase. 9/12/22 Still the right decision. I currently have 15,000 miles and the only issues i have had is the apple car play is finicky. I have same issues with my wifes 2021 Honda Passport and apple car play so I think it is an apple thing.

So looked forward to this Pathfinder. Owned a 2017and 2019. PROS: The ride and sound level in cabin are improvements over the 2017 and 2019 models I owned. Handles well for a SUV this size. Nissan fixed the rear door opening with your foot/leg movement so it works 95% of the time; my other Pathfinders worked 10% of the time. CONS: The new technology features added simply work poorly. Auto engine stop is one of the poorest; prematurely starts while stopped, 40% of the time stops the the engine then restarts 10 seconds later as you try and sit still. Auto Hold makes the car lunge forward when restating which is an issue in stop and go traffic and parking in the garage. Driver Assist feature wants to push the car too close to the drivers side edge of the lane feeling unsafe at times. Door handle lock/unlock sensor works 95% of the time leaving you humbling around with trying to get in or lock 5% of the time. Have been back to the dealer and their help was telling we I'll get use to it. Well I'm and 5000 miles now and have not got use to it and am dissatisfied. I really liked the Pathfinders, but now not so much. The 2022 rides great and looks nice. But the poorly functioning and quality of the Technology has me considering selling. This would get a very nice SUV only if Nissan would have done a better job with the new tech features. Very disappointing for a 50K SUV.

Nicest in class but has a couple of issues

Pro: Beautiful, comfortable, spacious, techy yet rugged. Awesome vehicle. Con: seems to be more of a gas guzzler than the two previous ones I had, even though the car looks more tough on the outside, the internal controls seem much more fragile and I am scared I will break things if I don’t give them a soft touch. Front seats are very low (fine for me but not for my wife who is petite). Most recently (today)… electrical failure. Just called the dealership and they will hopefully send a loaner and fix this with no issues. This led me to write this review from a train. Car has 3,500 kms.

At three weeks old, the car had an electrical issue and wouldn’t crank. The lift gate wouldn’t even open. Towers to dealership. New ground bolt. 4 days later, same problem and was towed again to dealership. Has been at the dealership for 2 weeks now. Dash has been pulled out. Dealership can’t find the problem. Nice car if it worked

Home run for Nissan!

What an amazing car! I've been a loyal nissan customer for about 10 years (tired other brands but kept coming back), this by far my favorite one! Pros: It handles well in the city excels on the highway Wi-Fi hot spot is great for kids giving parents a nice quite trip. The 9 speed transmission shifts smoothly even at low speeds.(Its completely different from the first generation) The cabin is quite even with the cross bars on. Once you turn up the volume on the radio, you hardly notice any road noise. All of the safety tech works as expected. I come up close to any object or curb and the camera on that side turns on to show me. Even the rear senors picked up on a kid running behind me and the car slammed on the brakes. There is PLENTY of room and storage for a family. The seats are SO comfortable! I have back problems but have been able to sit on the car for 6 hours without any issues. Cons: The passenger seat is low. We have added a cushion to help. But there is no way to raise it. The senors to lock the door are EXTREMELY sensitive. I have been able to lock the doors whole one is open. I have also been able to lock it when my are brushed it. Make sure you have the keys with you at all times so can unlock if needed. The EZ flex is convenient and definitely helps. But it's so easy that my toddler figured it out. Now they will press it as their sibling tries to climb in. So watch the kids as they are getting in. Overall this car is a great family car. We have put 1,300 on ours in 2 weeks of ownership. If you are looking to compare it to the previous generations, dont! It's not on a truck frame so it doesn't handle like a truck, and it does not have a CVT like last generation. This car is completely different and it should definitely be on your list to rest drive if you're in the market for a 3 row SUV.

22 Pathfinder SV Premium

I love everything about the Pathfinder except the pro pilot has issues. When driving near a semi, the SUVs pro-pilot will sometimes feel like it turns off and on simultaneously (it shows it is on) which then makes you feel like you are battling it from either hitting the semi or the opposite side of the ditch. It can be very scary. I would never allow my teenager to drive on the interstate with it for that reason alone. If you are distracted for even a second and this happens, it will definitely cause an accident easily.

I was looking for an SUV that could pull a decent trailer and offer the comfort of an SUV without the gas guzzling of a pick up truck. The 2022 pathfinder seemed to fit the bill, the previous issue pulling trailers with the variable speed transmission fixed, the vehicle checked all the boxes. First thing we noticed was the passenger seat very low, my wife can barely see over the hood with no way to raise the seat. Two weeks after buying it, i needed to pull a utility trailer, backing up, it slammed on the brakes every 10-12". I shut off all sensors on the dash which was a bit of a job and it worked for one back up. Got back in to move, the settings defaulted back to normal and i had to shut them off again. Today we had a bike rack and bikes on the hitch. backing up, same issue. Try to move the vehicle with the door not fully closed, it wont move. I moved up to this from a 2015 Rogue, you could shut off all driving aids with one switch. The 2022 pathfinder in one sentence...,WAY, WAY too much electronics... let me drive the vehicle, dont try to drive it for me. i give the overall 4 out of 5, electronics 1 simply because i think its the lowest score you can give... Lets give up the electronics and go back to actually driving, its frustrating when a vehicle is trying to take the wheel and drive for you.

we love the style look and every thing about the car. we have waited for some time for the platinum to show up. it has all the extras the wife likes and can still pull the boat. we test drove three different ones and all three had extremely violent and erratic steering and shaking on certain sections of the interstate. nissan was made aware and even tried different tire to no avail. we are waiting and hoping for a fix and or recall before someone gets injured or worse

Passenger seat

We are in the process of looking for a new 2022 SUV with a third row and towing package here in Ontario, Canada. We have a 2019 Rogue for trade in and have been extremely happy with it. The salesman showed us the Platinum Pathfinder (considering the SL) and everything is exactly what we are looking for. However when I sat in the passenger seat I could hardly see over the dash. I’m an average height woman at 5’ 5” and felt like my seat was sitting on the floor There is no way to raise the seat either. So our dilemma…we like everything about this vehicle but do we spend around $50K for a new vehicle and buy a cushion for the passenger seat? Still thinking and looking.

I bought the new pathfinder hearing they put the 9speed Transmission and supposed to be off road worthy. Currently it's been back in the shop for faulty start/stop failure once and they couldn't explain why. First started at 680 miles now 2800 its off and on my display screen. Using on a gravel road going to my farm the rear suspension makes lots of clunking. Towing mode should shut off drivers assit back up feature.... in short it doesn't and very difficult backing a trailer up with small mirrors, emergency breaking, can't even open the door to look backing either. The emergency drivers assist even breaks with blades of grass. Very very annoying and not easy to disable as you have to scroll through multiple screens to turn off..... then still have the dash busser while trying to back up. Paint is beautiful when new but doesn't take much to scratch. The interior cloth catches every little thing. The plastic interior panels scratch very easy also. Pros is the gas mileage is much better than my 2010 at 17mpgs Third row nice Price was decent for 4wd sv

Needs Work!

The passenger seat is so low that the sun visor is not usable. You can't see over the hood line. The driver's seat is also too low for me, but not as bad as the passenger seat because you can adjust the height in the driver's side. The quality of the back up camera is horrible, very blurry. The drive is very rough, it really seems like it's worse in the passenger seat, possibly because it feels like you're sitting on the ground. The side mirrors are too high and cause an issue with visibility. The seats are just so uncomfortable and can't get them to a comfortable position. The transmission seems to shift rough in low gears. The key fob will not work unless you are basically touching the vehicle. The app rarely works either. Just too many things that I paid extra for on the SV that don't work, very surprised. I really thought they made better quality products than this. Dealers are useless for any issues as well. They tell you they will get with Nissan and then never get back with you. The heater does not get to the correct temperature and there is no air coming out of the feet vents. It's very very loud also. It sucks because I love the look of the Pathfinder and the size and had high hopes, if they would just fix these issues it would be great. They should have put a little more thought into quality control before releasing. I do have to say the AWD was really good in the ice. There are many areas for storage. I want to love it, but just can't get over the features that don't work.

Windows randomly go down

We purchased a brand new Nissan Pathfinder in October 2021. It seemed great at first, we love the interior minus the passenger seat being low. It is a big jerky and the auto start is premature... but otherwise the ride isn't bad. HOWEVER, the heated seats broke 2 months into owning the car. Once those were fixed, our windows kept randomly going down and went down at 1:30am during a huge snowstorm... the whole car filled with ice and snow. They originally told me they couldn't take it for 5 days. I demanded a replacement and for them to pick it up. Two weeks later and they said nothing was wrong with it. I'm so disappointed... I really wanted to like this car but don't feel like I can trust it due to constantly glitching being only 5 months old!

Absolutely love the 22 pathfinder. Previously owned an 05 and an xterra. Good on gas , managed 11.5l/100km in eco mode, kids love the captains chairs. The HUD is very nice and the ventilated seats. Looked at the explorer, highlander and palisade, sorry ford it looks like you spent $10 on the interior, highlander 3rd row is small and i find the palisade too goofy looking. Also, it comes ready to tow, why can't the others include a hitch, people tow with these things !!!

I am the one that drives our 2022 Platinum Pathfinder, my wife is my driving assistant...she has complained every single outing that the passenger seat is way too low and unfortunately fixed without the possibility of adjusting the height...what a drag...the whole comm/entertainment package is either not working right or too difficult to operate. Other issues have to do with the operationn of the rear door by way of swinging your foot under it...it works very sparingly and so does the door handles when trying to lock doors. Hopefully a recall will be issued to fix the passenger seat issue. How is it that something so obvious escapes a design team? Hard to believe!!!

Best new SUV

I looked at the new GV80, Acura, Highlander, and the Volvo and German models and nothing comes close to the amount of room, new technology for a 7 passenger SUV. The Genesis is beautiful, but, it has no touch screen and uses a dial transmission. Plus no true 7 passenger. The Acura has no Auto Pilot and says they are waiting for perfection. Good one. The Highlander interior is cheap looking, with some accordion material over the steering wheel. The new 2022 Volvo looks about the same as the current model, and the recharge goes less than 20 miles on a charge. The new Pathfinder looks great, like a Range Rover. It has the latest Auto Pilot that works in synch with GPS, so it works on most roads and highways. Genesis follows only the highway lines. It has a digital shifter, but, with a traditional and intuitive knob rather than twisting dials or pushing buttons. It offers two digital displays, three rows with a third row for adults, not kids. It’s also redesigned to look more like a truck with solid lines, and a great looking front and rear end. Never owned an Infniti and decided it wasn’t worth the wait for the QX60 which is the fancier model but not as attractive on the front or inside. The quilt dash will get replaced in 2023, trust me. And it’s not worth the extra $10k. All the same tech. So there you go. If style, 6cyl, regular gas, towing, technology, 7 passenger room, and value is your goal, you can’t beat the new 2022 Nissan Pathfinder.

New 2022 Pathfinder is awesome

I've owned 4 different Pathfinders in the past 20 years, and I can tell you that 2022 is by far is the greatest of them all. Gotta mention that none of previous models gave any headache neither, just regular maintenance. My new 2022 SV (base model, no premium package) is full of tech gadgets and safety features like ProPilot, lane assist, automatic emergency breaking, Blind spot intervention and many more. Ride is extremely comfortable and quiet. Fuel economy I am getting is around 25 MPG in mix of highway/city which excellent by my standards for pretty large SUV like Pathfinder.Yes as other people already mentioned auto-start/stop feature is useless and causing jolting of the tranny/engine and to remediate that, every time I start engine, I got into habit to turn this feature off by the button in center console. Couple of things I don't like: 1. Towing package is a part of Premium Package, because of this, instead of costing $700-800, you gotta cough up $2100. 2. The reason I bought SV without premium package is because I MUST have a bench seat on the second row. Premium Package come with captain's chairs. Captain's chairs and Tow Package should be sold like any other dealer-installed accessory. In general, I am VERY happy with purchase.<br>

My wife and I purchased a top of the line 2022 Pathfinder Platinum, 4 wheel drive from Classic Nissan in Newport News VA late last year. We traded in our 2018 Armada which was way to large and made my wife car sick as it swayed so much when going down the road. We had to pay a deposit and wait 2-3 weeks until the vehicle was delivered to the dealership and then pay a large dealer markup above MSRP and then had to get a $1250 vehicle protection spray. Every single person sitting in front passenger seat complains that it is too low...and there is no adjustment. The passenger seat is 7- way adjustable while the drivers seat is 10 way with the capacity to move it up and down. The salesman sat in the passenger seat during our test drives. It is not only uncomfortable with limited visibility for shorter individuals, but taller people do not have enough leg room as the seat sits too low. Obvious NISSAN knows there is a problem as the 2023s are identical in every way, except they have the same 10-way seat adjustments on both front seats! REALLY?? The dealership has been unresponsive so far even though I went there and talked with the sales manage and service personnel, and the sales manager and I looked at both new 2022 and 2023 models they now have on the lot. He didn't believe me at first (said he never knew of this) but sure enough he saw. He was going to discuss a solution with the manager and promised to call me that afternoon...almost four days later and nothing. Not only is it uncomfortable for everyone but I believe it is VERY DANGEROUS for shorter people and children as there's a good chance the air bag could hit them squarely in the head (not chest) if deployed. I believe there should be a recall on this model. That is not our only complaint about this vehicle but it's one that is very worrisome and needs an immediate remedy before someone is killed by their actions. Just Google "Pathfinder front passenger seat" and you can see how widespread the problem is.

I test drove the Pathfinder yesterday. The car was great BUT I'm 5'4 and the seat doesn't go up high enough for me to see over the bulky front end. I actually hit a curb while test driving because I just could not see. The dealership offered me a pillow if I buy the car. No thanks.

DISAPPOINTED IN NISSAN

I purchased my 2022 Pathfinder Platinum February, 2022.The car drove fine during the test drive and did fine until a couple of months later. First issue was hearing a flapping noise in the sunroof area. Especially during and after raining. I took it to the dealership and of course they didn't hear the noise. I took it two more times as the noise was getting louder and louder. Also could hear water run all the way down the Panoramic sunroof from the front to the back. They then suggested I record the sound and that would help them. I did so, took it to them and let them listen. They checked it out and then came and told me they couldn't hear it and they would have to hear the sound themselves before trying to fix the issue. I've had the car 1 1/2 years and they still can not hear the issue so therefore it is not fixed. I have already had to have CV joints replaced at just 6 months. I was told I needed new tires after only 20,000 miles. There is so much rattling going on in the dash that is really annoying. The display rattles and at times I just pull it forward a little and have to hold it to keep it from rattling. The dash goes blank while driving, the radio cuts off at times. My ac stopped blowing cold air in July 2023. They first said it had too much freon in it and that would cause it not to cool. Which if it had too much freon, the manufacturer is responsible since I've not added any to it. I asked them to please check the compressor because as I told them when the ac stopped cooling it was making an awful noise. They assured me they had already checked it and the problem was too much freon. After they still had my car an hour later I went to check to see what the problem was. They then tell me it was the compressor after all. I was very disappointed that a new car had to have a compressor replaced. They ordered it and couldn't give me a loaner, so I had to drive my car with no air for two weeks in 102 degree weather waiting on the compressor to come in. It has now been replaced just this week and I am anxious about what will go wrong next. I really hate that this car has so many issues. I would never recommend a Pathfinder to anyone.

When purchasing this vehicle, at first sight I was pleased. However, when sitting on the inside the seats are extremely low. The drivers side height can be adjusted but the passenger side is awful. When it's cold in the mornings, the dash lights flash. The touchscreen display goes black and sometimes it comes back on and other times you have to turn the car off to reset and it may come back on. The apple carplay feature doesn't always work so you may end up holding the phone to answer a call. The display screen also freezes and will not allow you to hang up a call. This vehicle is not air tight. The wind noise when on the highway is extremely loud and the heater is very loud and takes forever to heat up.

I do not recommend buying one and regret getting 1

I purchased my 2022 pathfinder in August of 2021. I traded in my 2015 Murano Platinum. I feel it was a huge mistake and am kicking myself. I have several Issues with it. The shifter was stuck in Neutral and would only go in N and Reverse. I had to drive home backwards over a mile. I had to have it towed to the dealer. The passengers seat is too low and doesn’t adjust, the passengers seat belt has to be fastened when no one is in it or it dings. The screen for the navigation and controls goes black randomly. A couple times it would come back on when the car was shut off and restarted. The drivers side heated seat didn’t work from day 1. Front end has a shaking when braking and driving at over about 55 mph. I have been locked out of the car and had to call roadside assistance in a rain storm. I had it to the dealer for a couple weeks. They said the shifter was dirty and so was the seat belt on the passengers side. I’m sure they didn’t know what was wrong so they said it was dirty to cover their lack of knowledge. After being in the shop the car will go into Neutral while driving randomly. I almost got ran over by a semi on I-95. It also happened in the middle of a busy intersection. The auto stop/start feature needs to be able to be turned off and only used if the customer chooses. Gas door comes opened during high winds and in the car wash, needs to be able to lock. Rear passenger doors don’t open from the inside of the vehicle at random. The heat blows cold air unless you crank it up as high as it will go and still doesn’t get hot enough. Sounds like one of the passengers side windows is opened when driving and is loud. A few times the car wouldn’t start. The first time it happened after I had it in aux mode for about 20 minutes so I figured that was why and then it’s happened a couple times after that, the car was completely dead and it was late at night on a dark road. The interior design is not the best as far as the console. The change compartment is next to the shifter and money can slide under it. The aux plugs are in the back of the cubby and finding them is inconvenient and you have to move everything in there to get to it. The internet feature has to be subscribed to for after the trial and I am unable to ad it to my AT&T account and would have to have a separate account for it and I won’t do that. It should be free considering the issues with the car. It could leave someone in an unsafe situation. My remote start doesn’t work half the time either. There are serious electrical problems with this car. I do not feel safe driving it at all. It has lost power on hills a few times. It is sometimes slow shifting into gears at slower speeds. Backing up with a small trailer the back up sensor will not allow you to back up without having to sit and go through the functions to find the turn off. The cruise control wouldn’t engage the couple times I tried to use it. My Murano was great, I never had a problem with it. I would not recommend anyone purchase the Pathfinder. I miss my Murano and the only reason I traded it was because it had the CVT transmission and had started acting up sometimes. I paid a lot of money for this car and if I try to trade it in I’ll take a serious loss. I drive a lot and am on the road late at night a lot of times and worry about my safety. I wish Nissan would buy it back and fix the issues before someone is killed or injured badly. #Nissan #2022NissanPathfinder

Love my pathfinder

Long after looking in 3 row SUVs, last August I bought my platinum 4WD Pathfinder. And I love it. I excluded Hyundai and Kia from my search because those cars are prone to severe issues (in fact sold my Santa Fe for safety reasons). My wife drives Acura RDX and we are happy with it, so we also considered Acura MDX 2022. We excluded Honda Pilot (too dated look and tech), Toyota Highlander (too small third row), and German ones were much more expensive. Did extensive test drive of MDX and Pathfinder and finally settled on Pathfinder for touch screen, cheaper has (regular bd high grade gas with MDX) and lower cost. Little things with pathfinder sometimes bug me but nothing major: (1) I dislike engine shut off every time I stop. I forget to deactivate it almost always. Little annoying thing. (2) the first gear to second gear happens too early. Again this is design of the car to make it fuel efficient but I am not a big fan of it. (3) the cabin air fan for AC or heat is too fast (too high air flow) even at lowest setting. Again, not major but annoying. (4) when driving high speed under heavy rain, rain water comes off driver side window and blocks view of my side mirror. I love seamless wireless connection to my iPhone. Love the drive of the car. Love the 360 camera. Amazing car overall. I currently have 7000 km on it and truly enjoy the drive with it. Living in Canada, I very much appreciate the “snow” drive mode. Neither our 2015 Acura RDX nor our past Hyundai Santafe sport had this feature or was really effective in snow as much as this car.

We had one for a rental for a long weekend trip. It was a bad weather weekend in Boston with lots and lots of snow. Sure the Pathfinder was very sure footed. Never spun a tire and handled all the road conditions like a champ. The size was great but could use a running board. I continually dragged my pant leg getting in or out of the vehicle. The main complaint was the ride. It was much rougher than we expect. It’s not a crossover ride for sure. Our daily at home is an Outback and the Pathfinder just couldn’t outdo my love for the Subaru.

This was a bad purchase. I hate my new Pathfinder. The electronics are very glitchy and cause driving distraction because I have to constantly reset settings and add and delete my phone to carplay to work. As for towing it is so stupid. When in tow mode the dang thing does not disable the rear sensors so as soon as you try backing with a trailer is locks up the brakes which is annoying and just plain stupid. The passenger seat is way to low so low passengers can’t see out the windshield. Looks nice but the engineering is way off and the vehicle feels cheaply built and flimsy. I would not recommend this vehicle as it totally missed the mark. Once again very buggy in the firmware department and towing mode completely sucks.

Trim pieces have been ripped off twice after going through a car wash. Nissan accepts zero responsibility. It’s the same car wash that I’ve used for 15+ years and multiple cars - never had any problems. Tires were worn out after 40k miles ( the majority highway). They put the absolute cheapest tires on the car ( I paid $52,000).

Finally no CVT. But why US doesn’t get second row heated bench in higher trims? Canadian do, US dont. And car build in US. If I need captan seats I will by mini van. Nissan, there are so many potential buyers goes away. Read forums, learn your market. Engine is good, trany is finally better one. Interior could be better, a lot of plastics, but for this price not too bad.

2022 Nissan Pathfinder platinum. From day 1 heated seats don’t work and dealers can’t make them work. The moldings are coming off. Heads up display rattles every time you hit a bump . Radio console rattles when you hit bumps. Engine make knocking sound after 3000 rpm’s. Cup holder has broken 3 times. Moonroof makes noise when you hit bumps. The truck has numerous recalls. Lacking power just the worst car I have ever purchased I have purchased cars off the street that work better. Nissan is now the new ford fix or repaired daily!!!!

So many little problems!Windows roll up and then automatically roll back down.not always ,but you have to play with them to get them to shut at times.Heater in -0 barely keeps it warm. And is just to complex a system.auto off and on engine.is a joke.get to a light and sometimes it shuts down sometimes not.Shutsdown for 20 secs. and starts back up.no consistency at all.Driver seat with less than 25k miles I feel like im sitting on a steel frame.Transmission could be a little nicer when you leave the stop light.you need to push the gas a little hard for it to get going. And then it jumps. I do like the handling the motor has great power.

Lots of great upgrades. Good power, softer feel. The turning radius seems to be a bit bigger. Very comfortable with the most headroom I have ever had in any car. Lots of space in the back. Overall very pleased. Well worth the price. Cons. Rear hatch opens a bit wide. Banged on a few things already. The idle stop/start is always on when you start the car. It’s jerky combined with the auto break function. Wish I had an option to stay off. Gas door does not lock. Too easy for people siphon gas from the tank. Alarm goes off if you open the trunk from a distance without unlocking the car. Glovebox is shallow and small. Lots of storage elsewhere so no biggie here. The platinum level comes with mandatory 2nd row captain seats. I prefer bench seats so I had to settle for the next level down. These are all minor problems and overall a great car.

I bought this 2022 SL Preminm 8 passenger suv in May 22, I love this vehicle, it looks great handles beautifully, and there is plenty of power, the only 2 small complaints I have is the passenger front seat is low and my wife has a hard time seeing over the dash as well the door lock sensors don't like the wet or the cold especially the driver door and doesn't always lock when touched. I have seen alot of comments on here regarding start stop feature not being able to turn it off...you just have to turn it of in the menu settings if you don't want it to come on. I have just under 7000km so far and look forward to putting on thousands more. I would buy again .

This is our 3rd Pathfinder; 7th Nissan for our household. We loved our previous 2013 and 2018 Pathfinders - all drove well, loved CVT smoothness, Nissan reliability. This 2022 Pathfinder does have a better design appearance, wider trunk that golf bags fit transversely (thank you!!), and still has smooth shifting despite getting away from CVT, and more comfortable all around. Easy access to occasional 3rd row seats for the grandkids. Plenty of power for family and normal driving from this proven and reliable (non-turbo) V6 engine.

Bought a Platinum model brand new off show room floor nice looking exterior and interior is top notch... however.. One week into ownership I started to have issues. A weird popping noise from the front. Dealer replaces strut mount... then 2 weeks later a more pop noise.. This time they said it was other side they replaced the entire strut assembly. Also screen radomly shutting off and not turning back on. The Climate control gauges stopped working. Dealer did a "software upgrade" still does this at times.... 12k miles the car died on me on the freeway while driving 70 mph. very dangerous as there was total loss of power and flashing service transmission. I made it to the side of the freeway barely..... towed to dealer.. dealer had car about a week and replace the Mass air flow sensor... at this time car has been in dealer a total of 6 weeks. Nissan never gave me any rental cars. Now at 16k miles the rear brakes are smoked... front brakes are in perfect shape at 8mm left.. rear is 2.5 MM. and rotors are also warped so will need full brake replacement. This car is the worst car I have ever driven its not reliable and the trade value of this car is worse than a high end sports car. Its lost over 25k value in just a year and 16K miles. Nissan is of no real assistance and dont really care. If you look at the forums about this car you will see so many people have issues with it.. Please do not buy this car!! unless you want to get ripped off.

I do not know where to begin, I am very frustrated and completely regret this purchase. All in all my 2024 Pathfinder came in at a little over $53k, then add tax, license, doc fees, etc. I had many options at this price point, and honestly the 2.9% prime financing through Nissan was my deciding factor. In hindsight I would have opted for the standard higher rates over the competition in this category. The shifting is funny, first gear snaps and is not smooth going into second gear. On the road, there is delay from when I push the gas for the car to respond, feels slow to react and sluggish. The Bose stereo is basic, nothing exciting at all. I have tried to trade this in, and since this car is not desirable as others in this space, the depreciation is HORRIBLE! I was offered about $38k as a trade in, from paying $53k, only a few months ago and with only 3k miles on the odometer. Again, I regret this purchase.

I have just over 23k miles on the Pathfinder now. It's been great. It's gas mileage is very good for the class. I love towing with this over a full size truck. It's so much easier to move through tight spaces and flip U turns. I have had one hiccup that was quickly and easily fixed under warranty. the install techs didn't install enough slide pin lube on the rear brakes at the factory causing them to seize and wear out prematurely. They said they were aware of this issue and would pay for all of it under warranty. My local dealer swapped it out in a day and no issues since. I feel Nissan's tech systems are far easier to use than other brands, such as Hyundai and Subaru. The Pro Pilot assist makes driving a breeze for road trips. I haven't had any ping ponging off of lanes while using this system, it tracks straight and true. This is something I can't say for many other systems I have tried. I think Tesla is the only one I have tried that did better than this. I love the interior design on this, it's something next level for the money. This isn't the Pathfinders of old that could go off-roading in Moab, but it does pretty good off road and should be more than enough for the average user. I love the 9 speed transmission. Glad Nissan switched to this for the vehicle. It's perfectly geared for all situations and it's easy to grab a gear if you need to slow a load while towing or get more torque for a hill. All the maintenance on this vehicle is incredibly simple and due to the engine layout there is plenty of space. Only issue I could see is if you at some point 150k miles or more down the road need to remove the exhaust, where three cylinders are located in the rear against the firewall. This rides very quietly on the highway and is compliant at soaking up most harsh bumps. Seats are comfortable when they break in. Many Nissans need a good 40k miles for the seats to break in I have noticed historically, so once you hit about that they really soften up. They do that to ensure they last longer. In my experience this works and is better than having seats worn out at only 100k miles. I don't have much negative to say about it other than I wish it came with wireless android auto from the factory, but it's easy and cheap enough to get the wireless kit for it.

Faulty Seatbelt & Shift Auto Idle

Just purchases this a week and a half ago, one of the seat belts for the passengers on the second row seat, broke it will not click. God forbid we are in a car accident and that person would have been sol. Also, the Shift Auto Idle keeps going back to on- on it’s own, even if turned off within the settings it still turns on, that is annoying as when you come to a complete stop it jerks/pulls and then bam it’s on auto shift idle again turn on by itself. Took it in today 08/06/2021 to get it looked at the technicians had no response to why the seat belt broke nor why the Auto Shift foes into Idle mode even if it is off within the settings and stated that they will order new seat belt and take a look at the Auto Shift Issue when the seat belt arrives. Makes me think I should have gone for the Toyota Highlander or the Dodge Durango I was looking at during my purchase. So disappointed. Overall, it’s a great gas saving car if you are looking for something midsize gas saver. Might end up trading in this vehicle for something else if issue continues. I have a 2016 Nissan NVP 3500 SV HD never had one problem nor with my 2016 Nissan Altima SR. I had high hopes for this Pathfinder and was excited to find it in stock at my local Nissan dealer- which by the way only had two 2022 Pathfinders available and one had sold already. I got this one right off the show room. 😩

Looked at a lot of mid size 3 row SUV’s. Styling, performance, safety and standard accessories, Nissan Pathfinder, hands down. Great looking and riding SUV. Tired of hearing about the Palisade and the Telluride. This vehicle is better looking inside and out and I trust Nissan quality way more than Hyundai and Kia.

The pro pilot assist is SOOO darn bad. Literally an accident in the making. Driver's seat is very uncomfortable and makes my right leg sore after 20 or 30 mins of driving. Transmission shifting is abrupt. The only thing I like is that it looks good. That's it!

I bought this SUV in April right from the dealership. Beware this car auto changes from Drive mode to Neutral when you stop at the stop sign unless you put it back in Drive. Never leave your keys in the car otherwise it will auto lock on you. It happened to me at the gas station and at the car wash. I took it back to the dealership and I was told that the dealership was not able to duplicate it. PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS CAR - it does not worth the trouble!

(Platinum level) This is exactly what I was looking for: 3 row SUV, lots of headroom, great style, and love the storage in the back. Drives well; electronics fairly easy to learn; comfortable seats; good gas mileage. Take note of the plastic used on this - I'm okay with it. Do your research and be comfortable with the $ before you visit the dealership :) If you are trading in, know those $ too.

Wow this car has been one of the greatest of the nissan lineup. Starting from the 1986 to the 2022 it has been a blessing. I have been using a 2005 Nissan Pathfinder for 11years and still no problem and i just got a 2022 version and its awesome.I prefer a Nissan Pathfinder to a Toyota Highlander and i hope you do to.

Pathfinder is solid

Purchased used with 13000 miles. I considered the highlander, telluride, palisade and Cherokee L. I traded a 2013 Honda Pilot that I racked up 220000 miles on and absolutely loved, but the new pilots did not interest me due to the boring and minivan look. Went with the pathfinder due the more aggressive look and the fact that I have owned Nissan before and am loyal to the manufacturer. Pros Gas mileage is better than expected. Getting 23 on highway in changing elevation. 20 around town. Looks more aggressive and rugged compared to other mid-size 3 rows. Ride is smooth. Decently powerful engine. Transmission shifts well, but sometimes hangs in higher gear after acceleration uphill Easy access to 3rd row. Comfortable seats Lots of cargo space Interior look and feel is sharp Stereo system is good Cons Auto stop/start is a pain Wireless apple CarPlay doesn’t always connect. Headlight broadcast on low beams is poor. High beam is ok but not great Remote start doesn’t always work After putting 5000 miles on it, overall I am very happy. I’m going to get more aggressive tires to make it look more rugged. Nissan has always been a solid, reliable manufacturer for me. This is my 6th Nissan.

I preordered mine and it was one of the first 2022 pathfinders in canada. My family and I enjoying it, it’s not the best out there but much better than it’s competitors with the same price range. It’s a real 4X4 not an AWD like others which is an advantage in Canadian weather or off-roading. Nissan customer service are one of the worst, I hope I won’t need their support.
