excellent but frustrating
I was looking for an SUV that could pull a decent trailer and offer the comfort of an SUV without the gas guzzling of a pick up truck. The 2022 pathfinder seemed to fit the bill, the previous issue pulling trailers with the variable speed transmission fixed, the vehicle checked all the boxes. First thing we noticed was the passenger seat very low, my wife can barely see over the hood with no way to raise the seat. Two weeks after buying it, i needed to pull a utility trailer, backing up, it slammed on the brakes every 10-12". I shut off all sensors on the dash which was a bit of a job and it worked for one back up. Got back in to move, the settings defaulted back to normal and i had to shut them off again. Today we had a bike rack and bikes on the hitch. backing up, same issue. Try to move the vehicle with the door not fully closed, it wont move. I moved up to this from a 2015 Rogue, you could shut off all driving aids with one switch. The 2022 pathfinder in one sentence...,WAY, WAY too much electronics... let me drive the vehicle, dont try to drive it for me. i give the overall 4 out of 5, electronics 1 simply because i think its the lowest score you can give... Lets give up the electronics and go back to actually driving, its frustrating when a vehicle is trying to take the wheel and drive for you.

handling problem
we love the style look and every thing about the car. we have waited for some time for the platinum to show up. it has all the extras the wife likes and can still pull the boat. we test drove three different ones and all three had extremely violent and erratic steering and shaking on certain sections of the interstate. nissan was made aware and even tried different tire to no avail. we are waiting and hoping for a fix and or recall before someone gets injured or worse

Passenger seat
We are in the process of looking for a new 2022 SUV with a third row and towing package here in Ontario, Canada. We have a 2019 Rogue for trade in and have been extremely happy with it. The salesman showed us the Platinum Pathfinder (considering the SL) and everything is exactly what we are looking for. However when I sat in the passenger seat I could hardly see over the dash. I’m an average height woman at 5’ 5” and felt like my seat was sitting on the floor There is no way to raise the seat either. So our dilemma…we like everything about this vehicle but do we spend around $50K for a new vehicle and buy a cushion for the passenger seat? Still thinking and looking.
Not impressed with 2022
I bought the new pathfinder hearing they put the 9speed Transmission and supposed to be off road worthy. Currently it's been back in the shop for faulty start/stop failure once and they couldn't explain why. First started at 680 miles now 2800 its off and on my display screen. Using on a gravel road going to my farm the rear suspension makes lots of clunking. Towing mode should shut off drivers assit back up feature.... in short it doesn't and very difficult backing a trailer up with small mirrors, emergency breaking, can't even open the door to look backing either. The emergency drivers assist even breaks with blades of grass. Very very annoying and not easy to disable as you have to scroll through multiple screens to turn off..... then still have the dash busser while trying to back up. Paint is beautiful when new but doesn't take much to scratch. The interior cloth catches every little thing. The plastic interior panels scratch very easy also. Pros is the gas mileage is much better than my 2010 at 17mpgs Third row nice Price was decent for 4wd sv

Needs Work!
The passenger seat is so low that the sun visor is not usable. You can't see over the hood line. The driver's seat is also too low for me, but not as bad as the passenger seat because you can adjust the height in the driver's side. The quality of the back up camera is horrible, very blurry. The drive is very rough, it really seems like it's worse in the passenger seat, possibly because it feels like you're sitting on the ground. The side mirrors are too high and cause an issue with visibility. The seats are just so uncomfortable and can't get them to a comfortable position. The transmission seems to shift rough in low gears. The key fob will not work unless you are basically touching the vehicle. The app rarely works either. Just too many things that I paid extra for on the SV that don't work, very surprised. I really thought they made better quality products than this. Dealers are useless for any issues as well. They tell you they will get with Nissan and then never get back with you. The heater does not get to the correct temperature and there is no air coming out of the feet vents. It's very very loud also. It sucks because I love the look of the Pathfinder and the size and had high hopes, if they would just fix these issues it would be great. They should have put a little more thought into quality control before releasing. I do have to say the AWD was really good in the ice. There are many areas for storage. I want to love it, but just can't get over the features that don't work.
