So looked forward to this Pathfinder. Owned a 2017and 2019. PROS: The ride and sound level in cabin are improvements over the 2017 and 2019 models I owned. Handles well for a SUV this size. Nissan fixed the rear door opening with your foot/leg movement so it works 95% of the time; my other Pathfinders worked 10% of the time. CONS: The new technology features added simply work poorly. Auto engine stop is one of the poorest; prematurely starts while stopped, 40% of the time stops the the engine then restarts 10 seconds later as you try and sit still. Auto Hold makes the car lunge forward when restating which is an issue in stop and go traffic and parking in the garage. Driver Assist feature wants to push the car too close to the drivers side edge of the lane feeling unsafe at times. Door handle lock/unlock sensor works 95% of the time leaving you humbling around with trying to get in or lock 5% of the time. Have been back to the dealer and their help was telling we I'll get use to it. Well I'm and 5000 miles now and have not got use to it and am dissatisfied. I really liked the Pathfinders, but now not so much. The 2022 rides great and looks nice. But the poorly functioning and quality of the Technology has me considering selling. This would get a very nice SUV only if Nissan would have done a better job with the new tech features. Very disappointing for a 50K SUV.

Nicest in class but has a couple of issues

Pro: Beautiful, comfortable, spacious, techy yet rugged. Awesome vehicle. Con: seems to be more of a gas guzzler than the two previous ones I had, even though the car looks more tough on the outside, the internal controls seem much more fragile and I am scared I will break things if I don’t give them a soft touch. Front seats are very low (fine for me but not for my wife who is petite). Most recently (today)… electrical failure. Just called the dealership and they will hopefully send a loaner and fix this with no issues. This led me to write this review from a train. Car has 3,500 kms.

At three weeks old, the car had an electrical issue and wouldn’t crank. The lift gate wouldn’t even open. Towers to dealership. New ground bolt. 4 days later, same problem and was towed again to dealership. Has been at the dealership for 2 weeks now. Dash has been pulled out. Dealership can’t find the problem. Nice car if it worked

Home run for Nissan!

What an amazing car! I've been a loyal nissan customer for about 10 years (tired other brands but kept coming back), this by far my favorite one! Pros: It handles well in the city excels on the highway Wi-Fi hot spot is great for kids giving parents a nice quite trip. The 9 speed transmission shifts smoothly even at low speeds.(Its completely different from the first generation) The cabin is quite even with the cross bars on. Once you turn up the volume on the radio, you hardly notice any road noise. All of the safety tech works as expected. I come up close to any object or curb and the camera on that side turns on to show me. Even the rear senors picked up on a kid running behind me and the car slammed on the brakes. There is PLENTY of room and storage for a family. The seats are SO comfortable! I have back problems but have been able to sit on the car for 6 hours without any issues. Cons: The passenger seat is low. We have added a cushion to help. But there is no way to raise it. The senors to lock the door are EXTREMELY sensitive. I have been able to lock the doors whole one is open. I have also been able to lock it when my are brushed it. Make sure you have the keys with you at all times so can unlock if needed. The EZ flex is convenient and definitely helps. But it's so easy that my toddler figured it out. Now they will press it as their sibling tries to climb in. So watch the kids as they are getting in. Overall this car is a great family car. We have put 1,300 on ours in 2 weeks of ownership. If you are looking to compare it to the previous generations, dont! It's not on a truck frame so it doesn't handle like a truck, and it does not have a CVT like last generation. This car is completely different and it should definitely be on your list to rest drive if you're in the market for a 3 row SUV.

22 Pathfinder SV Premium

I love everything about the Pathfinder except the pro pilot has issues. When driving near a semi, the SUVs pro-pilot will sometimes feel like it turns off and on simultaneously (it shows it is on) which then makes you feel like you are battling it from either hitting the semi or the opposite side of the ditch. It can be very scary. I would never allow my teenager to drive on the interstate with it for that reason alone. If you are distracted for even a second and this happens, it will definitely cause an accident easily.
