A REAL SUV
This is my 3rd Pathfinder in 30 years. The first was a Hardbody and then two more (2010 SE & 2011 Silver Edition). The bad? Gas economy is about 16 mpg. The rear seats are for short rides and smaller framed people, but they're available for emergencies. The ride is truck-like (but it's a real SUV). My silver Edition is 13 years old with 100,000 miles. No rust. It still looks good, except for paint peeling in groove on top of both front fenders (seen this on quite a few Pathfinders, actually). Engine has run flawlessly and strong. The only problem has been the AC compressor ($350 DIY + freon $80) and driver's side front power windows' button ($30 Amazon,DIY, 10 min.) going bad. Leather seats still look good (no rips) and heated seats still work. Headlamp plastic is fading, but lens wax seems to clear them back up for 4-6 months. I tow a 4,500Lb. boat on a regular basis and take my Pathfinder onto the beach. She tows fine and plows through the soft-sand (and snow). Machined aluminum rims are showing signs of oxidations, so I've replaced three with used ones. I've changed the intake manifold gaskets and spark plugs at 97K. It was a moderate DIY job. Shocks, brake pads, calipers and rotors got replaced, too. That was easy. All these things are normal, expected wear and tear type repairs. If you send it to the dealer, expect to come out of pocket about $5,000 - $6,000. (I only spent $1,000.) In terms of reliability, I won't complain one bit. The Pathfinder has taken all I've thrown at it. It's rugged, beefy, reliable, a solid 4X4, safe, and moves nicely at 80 on the highway (just completed a 2,600 mile road trip where I went from using AC to heated seats). With roof racks and a hitch, I put kayaks on top, skis and bikes. Using the hitch I tow a small 4x8' Harbor Freight trailer or a bike rack or a hitch/haul. Frankly, there's nothing I couldn't do, yet. Many people have these Pathfinders hitting 200K or more miles. Take care of it and you'll have a great SUV for $10K or less...at a time when a real SUV with these same capabilities will run you at least $45K, or more. .

2010 le 4x4 with nav
I drive mainly in the city, and it has all the power that I need. It uses some gas, but i think 15 miles per gallon is good in the city. I have owned the pathfinder for 4 weeks and it meets all of my expectations.

Be carefull
Watch out when buying Nissan. They are known for the "check engine soon" light coming on - this will cost you at least $550.
Limited Edition Pathfinder
we own a 2010 Nissan Pathfinder LE and we love it. plus it does have a navigation system and we used it but we are not so crazy about it and it does have heated seats. it has 3rd row seats to but we never use them because we only have 3 people in our family.
It's just okay
We bought the V6 pathfinder, it handles pretty well. My wife loves the seats, however I am not convinced they are that comfortable. One thing that really bothers me is a vibration that occurs when the car is in gear but not moving. It starts from the engine and moves back through the vehicle. The dealer said this is normal and it's part of the exhaust. At times I wish I did a longer test drive before we purchased the vehicle.
