Used 2017 Nissan Murano Consumer Reviews
Solid, safe, comfortable, upscale
Great car for larger drivers, easy to get in and out of car, ability for 5 tall people to ride comfortably and still have room for visitor's luggage or trip to wholesale store. V6 and variable transmission gives great pickup at any speed. Easily gets onto interstate traffic from entrance. Good display using Apple Car programs. Love intelligent cruise control and on steering wheel control of multiple displays and control of accessories. Solid car that just feels safe to drive. Short city trips and long interstate trips are an easy experience. Lots of driving safety features. A heavy object dropped onto my car as I drove down the expressway at expressway speed. (Insurance labeled it as a falling object accident) The object deeply dented the driver's side main roof support, and the windshield was completed cracked but did not complete break. The Murano absorbed the impact, and its skid control kept the car from rolling as I turned the car hard right just as I saw, out of the counter of my eye, the object was about to hit the car. It happened so fast I do not know what the object was. Body shop repaired the car to like new condition. The car continues to be highly satisfying and looking new. Gas mileage is about 26 MPG on highway. Dashboard Camera gives all around view of car and waring of approaching car when backing out of parking space. Intelligent cruise control and warning lights of cars in blind spot are important aids I didn't exect to be important until I drove the car in heavy traffic. hands off commands for display are very useful. Seat adjustments are great during long trips. Gas mileage is better than listed,

2017 Nissan Murano S AWD
My 2017 was purchased new. It has been in the shop 16 times... twice for issues that were “repaired.” I have had to have the window motors replaced 3 times. The entire radio unit, antenna and other electronic components replaced. I have owned this car for less than 2 years and have had to have loaner cars for a total of 2 months of the time I have owned it. Everything from the carpet pulling up and getting between my feet and the pedals to electric, the decorative trim on the exterior of the door falling off, motor for the AC replaced... the interior materials are plastic and cheap. I would NEVER purchase again.

BODY PAINT IS MISSING ON REAR DOOR HATCH
I purchased brand new 2017.5 Nissan Murano (MSRP 45,650) in October 2017. 2 month later I've noticed that rear door hatch is missing good chunk of paint. I paid $395 extra for Nissan special color (white) by the way. Seems to me the paint finished at the factory when car body was painted. I submitted claim to Nissan Consumer Affair office. They denied the claim to replace the vehicle and told me to go to the dealer to repaint the back door. I told them that car is too expansive and I refuse to repaint it because the dealer body shop quality won't be the same as the factory. Nissan consumer affair office suggested to open a claim with BBB and that's exactly what I did. All I am trying to address is the Quality Control issue at the factory. I want the QC managers at Nissan to see what they are missing. My previous 2009 Murano had no issues for 10 years. 2009 Murano was made in Japan. I am very disappointed. I purchased 4 Nissans and I think this Nissan Murano will be my last Nissan going forward. Also, please take a look, the lenses on new Murano have some kind of finger prints or tape glue marks. I did show this to the service manager. He was really surprised. We went outside to see if other muranos have this issue and YES, all of them had it. Bumper on my brand new Murano was not attached to the body. I also noticed that after 1 week of having my car. I brought it back to the dealership. Service department fixed it. They said there are 4 hooks and only 1 out of 4 was engaged. NISSAN MUST ADDRESS QUALITY CONTROL BEFORE THEY PUSH CARS OUT OF THE FACTORY...!!!! PEOPLE BE AWARE OF THE POOR QUALITY.

There is something wrong with my brand new Murano
I bought my 2017.5 SL AWD Murano in May 2017 - I was somewhat concerned that the car was made in Mississippi (not Japan) and with a Mexican transmission. However, I thought - gee, with modern manufacturing processes a car made in Mississippi is just as good as Japan. Boy was I wrong. Their is some very odd sound that developed in the engine at - and I'm not kidding - about mile 200. Yes, 200 miles after buying this car I think I have a lemon. Edmunds - I will prove my purchase with the VIN (same goes for Nissan) - I'm badmouthing this car as it is giving me LEGITAMATE problems at mile 200. Honestly, I would avoid this car if you can. If you can learn from my mistake - I hope I saved you some grief.

2017 Murano 28k Later
Bought the 17 SL because my wife’s wanted another Nissan. Rogue was a little too small but the Murano was just right in every way. Seat height perfect for my wife with a disability. Very sure footed on the road and all the tech a 69 year old can handle. Love the look as well. Beautiful brown leather with beige stitching. Very well appointed and lots of safety features. If I need another Nissan in 30-40 years I’ll get another Morano. Simply superb.
