I purchase my 2013 Maxima SV in 2016 and I was drawn to the Maxima for the style and I discovered it is a very enjoyable car to drive, excellent acceleration, lots of features and color options. What the Maxima lacks is interior room, also there is winds noise when driven over 50 mph. I love my Maxima but I stand 6'1" tall and there is no room for anyone other than a small child to sit in the seat behind me.

It's been 3 years since I bought this car. The only thing I had to do is replace the battery, oil change and rotate the tires. No big issues at all. When I bought this car, I was looking for a nice looking car that was fast and did not need to break the bank. I have a family so I good reliabale car. This car is perfect. The gas milage is decent. I drive mostly to work thru the city but highway miles is great as well. When I need to accelerate, the car does its duty. I drove this car from Tampa, FL to Savannah, GA and it was so comfortable all 6 hours of driving. Its a joy to drive and takes very little to fix, IF there anything to fix. No high maintenance bills like with BMW or Benz. Still looks nice and gets the job done well.

Getting the Maximum from my Maxima

This is great vehicle for singles or couples. Not so much for folks who carry backseat passengers regularly. Its definitely sporty looking and powerful but a traditional trans would have been a great option. Cant complain about the CVT though. Its been smooth and trouble free for the two years + that I've owned the car. I loved the idea of having the panoramic sunroof but living with it has proved to be less than a love affair. After about of year it began to rattle. After several trips to the dealer, their solution was to replace the entire roof - under warranty, of course. Unfortunately the problem has returned and can be nerve wrecking on bumpier roads. Thankfully the Bose sound system is clear and strong enough to drown it out the rattle. As time has passed, the gas mileage has improved. Even under a lead-footed driver like myself, I can squeeze out 25 mpg under mixed driving. Just be prepared to pay at the pump. We all know that premium isn't always cheap! But all in all, as a repeat Maxima owner (this being #4), this one is the best I've owned yet. Love it and it still looks as fresh as anything else on the road.

Purchased in April. Now have 10,000 miles on it. Overall very happy, something I wouldn't have said two weeks after purchasing, but time and service departments can heal all wounds. Within a week of purchase the steering wheel controls all died. It was thought that it was a fuse but needed a new cable system. Since replacement it has worked fine. Two weeks after taking possession when shutting the car off it went into On mode and drained the battery. Another 25 mile trip to the dealer only to be lectured on how to turn the car on/off properly. This is our 3rd Nissan, we know how to turn it off. It has shot into the On mode since but we are careful to watch for it.
