Used 2004 Nissan Maxima Consumer Reviews
withholding judgment
The power train is great. Smooth, quiet and quick acceleration. The engine is definitely the best feature of this vehicle. But reliability is a question and quality of interior is not on level of Camry or Accord. Still thinking that the wiser choice would have been the Accord; but will withhold judgment so long as the reliability is much better than average.
getting a lot of looks
My first Nissan, and I am very pleased. Everyone that gets in raves about what a gorgeos car it is. I got the rear bucket seats, and LOVE them! (As do the kids!) Everywhere we go, people are asking us about it, we've been approache sitting in traffic, in parking lots just about everywhere. All I can say is just take it for a test drive!

BEST CAR FOR THE PRICE RANGE
I've had this car for almost three months...one word, AWESOME. The engine truly is remarkable! Real fast city or highway. Definetly one of the sharpest looking sedans on the road, but dont take my word for it....buy one and see how many oohs and ahhs you get.
Never Again
I bought my 2004 Maxima 3.5 SL brand new and I maintain it religiously. I owned a 1997 and that was one of the best cars I ever owned. This is probably the worst car I ever owned. Two recalls, the transmission went 100 miles before the warranty expired. Front grille replaced 3 times because of peeling. Brake problems. Had all the documentation and got zero satisfaction from Nissan. Latest - ABS problem, rear bearings, etc. All expensive repairs. Wrote a letter to the President of Nissan - no response. I will never ever ever buy another Nissan product.
I am so Happy!
I have always had SUV's - this is my first car and my first foreign vehicle. I am loving it. The price was a little high, but I am definitely reaping the benefits. I actually had someone tell me it looks like a one hundred thousand dollar car. The sleekness of it is so gorgeous.
