High tech low cost great on fuel
Spend the extra money and get the SR! There's not much extra coin to get tons of really great Tech stuff. The 360 degree camera, which I thought "who needs that in such a small car", is extremely useful. As is all the other safety and security stuff you get with the upgraded model. The Rockford Fosgate sound system upgrade is really nice for a small sub box and tuned door speakers. It's by no means a full system with tons of watts and a gigantic subwoofer, but it's enough to shake the mirror and really balance out the sound in such a small SUV. This vehicle is a definite thumbs up for me, and unlike the professional reviews I find the seating comfy and the noise level tolerable, not to mention I'm 6 foot tall. The seats, although not power are way more adjustable than most, I find the race inspire side bolsters keep me planted quite well. Update- So the radio has a reoccurring problem where the volume lowers itself and the knob is un responsive. The fit and finish is a bit off leaving undesirable wind noise. I have some areas of the vehicle where paint chipped and flaked away (this problem happened early on but was quickly dismissed by the auto manufacturer as not a defect). Overall I give it a B+, the power is a bit lacking but the mileage is still really good. The Tech when new was way above the curve, and still runs at the front of the pack considering the trim level.

Kicks A$$
This is an inexpensive car that gives you much more for your money. In particular the active front collision; the side and rear collision alert; along with the excellent 360 camera system; and the touch/infotainment system, all make this car seem like it should cost a lot more. It uses regular gas, and gets great mileage. This car is a value.

Kicky car
To me this car is the answer to some driving concerns, My old car (truck) was hard to park and hard to backup. The Kicks is a breeze to park and with all the sensors, cameras, parking aids. The dashboard is so sleek, clean looking, not so busy looking. The mileage is good. Averaging about 34 mpg. I have no problem with driving up the Colorado hills. The hill assist "KICKS" in, making it easy to climb the roads. On the con side, I would have like some window tinting, but can do that later. It does lack some extra storage for sunglasses, gloves, or what have you. The front passenger seat doesn't adjust to my liking. It seems to low. But all in all I give the KICKS a kicking rating of 4.5.

It's an excellent value but an above average car.
I owned a 2019 Kicks for about four months after trading in a used SUV and going with something brand new. I bought it basically for the excellent value, for all the tech and features you get for the price and the unique exterior styling. But after a few weeks of owning it I found the interior left a lot to be desired. The Apple Car play and Android Auto were great features. The stereo sounded good but not great, only sounded great when used with the Sirius XM radio demo that you get for free for three months with buying the car. The AC/heat was not very precise, it either was too cool or a little too warm, we had to finagle with it by manually adjusting it every time to get comfortable, compared to our older SUV which provided us a constant stable temperature. The Kicks is considered a crossover but I found it more to be on the car side than the sport utility side. It was more like a raised car and reminded me of my old Kia Soul. I didn't have any of the problems other Kicks owners had such as having to replace the front sensor, or any of the struts due to noise. I took it on a long cross country trip and it did have excellent gas mileage, but the 10 gallon tank was too small for my taste, as I felt I had to fill it up quite often for an economy vehicle despite the great mileage, because of the small tank. The interior was nice but the seats were a little hard and started getting used to it the more we sat on them, but it really did feel more like a car than an SUV. I didn't like the simulated digital tachometer on the left side of the dashboard, I feel that tachometers should always be analog because of my old school preference with cars. There was really no center console and I didn't like that the cup holders being lined one after the other and too far back, as opposed to side-by-side for driver and passenger, and there were no rear cup holders except at the door. I did like the two USB ports in the back of the middle divider for the rear passengers, the large cargo room in the rear for a car its size, and overall interior room for a car its size. The oil and filter were real easy to change as well, don't even need to raise it with a jack to get to the drain plug and oil filter. But I tried to like the car, and I really did like it's stylish exterior, but the interior was not enough for me to want to keep it for the long term to continue making payments on it, so I traded it in for a Rogue Sport, which met more of my interior and comfort needs, and I felt I was actually in a SUV in the Rogue Sport as opposed to a raised car in a Kicks. In additon to the Kia Soul I mentioned earlier, the Kicks reminded me too much of a Nissan Versa Note with a facelift. But I would recommend the Kicks for the value and styling and great commuter car, and looking back would spend for the top of the line SR trim instead of the SV I had, but if you're going to spend that much for an SR and want a more refined vehicle, you might as well would move up to a Rogue Sport or above, unless you want to stay with the shape of the Kicks which had more of an edge, rather than the more subtle sophistication of a Rogue Sport.I don't really have complaints in the performance side of things as i don't expect much out of an engine in a vehicle in this class, I was mainly more focused on the exterior look, which was great, and interior feel, which was not as great, of the Kicks.

♡♡♡♡♡My Kicks!!!
I love this car. I am attracted to Nissan for some reason but the Rogues are too boring and you see them EVERYWHERE! The Murano was my first choice but so expensive and then I also started seeing them everywhere I looked. The Kicks was a great find. The style is what caught my eye, it looked like a Mini but more stylish in my opinion. I loved that i hadn't seen many on the road and the price was so much better than the Murano. I wasn't quite ready to go from a car to an SUV so this was a good compact crossover for me. We have 2 small children and it fits both of their carseats perfectly. The only thing I am not thrilled with is that it doesn't have a navigation system and the plastic on the doors does feel a bit plasticky, but then again.. the price! Overall I give this car 5 stars. In some areas it lacks it exceeds in others. We are very happy with our first new car purchase!

Exceeds my expectations!
I was worried after reading reviews, but I honestly couldn’t be more happy with my purchase. Great ride and so roomy. Yes, it has a small gas tank but my commute to work is 9 miles in town. Very peppy get up and go in town. Commuting daily and errands I can go 2 weeks on one tank of gas. I average 33mpg. This car may be marketed toward millennials first car, but this 52 year old empty nester thinks it’s the best car I’ve ever owned (like it more than our Rogue). I highly recommend this car for the price, gas mileage and safety features. I have no negatives for this car thus far. I have the SV in Aspen white. Cutest car ever! And did I mention remote start?

Economy with Style
Looks is what attracted me to this care. I was looking to replace a 2016 Rogue at lease end and wanted to improve a bit on fuel mileage. I'm getting an average of 34mpg, so mission accomplished. My vehicle is blue with a white roof, which is a nice change from the solid colors I've had in the past. There is a large amount of cargo space which is much appreciated. The one thing I do miss from the Rogue is the ability to configure the cargo space in different ways. The Kicks has been a good vehicle at a great price so far. I've had mine for about three weeks nopw.

Awesome on Gas
Had the SV model for almost 3 months and love the amount of money I’m saving at the pump! I’m 58, 5’8 and have no problem getting in or out; however, I think only 2 small adults is the max for the rear seats. Only thing I would suggest is future updates to this model have higher and better designed cup holders. I’ve spilled many coffees at the drive thru trying to put the cup in the holder.

Fun crossover and great value
I bought the SR w/premium package. I have a 40 minute commute to work on I-275 and I-4 to Tampa and my Kicks is nimble and quick with ample get-up-and-go. I don’t know why the Edmunds reviewers hate the seats so much when my 5’5” self and 6’ husband find them super comfy! As other reviewers note, the tech in the car is great. My favorite thing is how it looks and I got the cayenne red w/black top- cutest car in the parking lot! And I like sitting higher up than a sedan :)

A great little vehicle for my 63 years
This is my fourth Nissan and third one in a row. I brought my 2016 Altima in for service and during the wait time I got to looking around the show room. I saw this little car and for me it was easier to get in and out of, much easier than the Altima. What I like best is the handling. I can turn this car around in the middle of the street with room to spare. The two main drawbacks to this vehicle for me are the headlights and the adjustability of the drivers seat. The high beams, to me, just do not seem to illuminate as far down the road as I would like them to. The high beam seems to be a bit yellow to me also which causes me to think that they appear to be incandescent . I miss the electric seats of the Altima. The seats in the Kicks are manually adjustable and you cannot effectively lower the seat to the floor but only tilt the seat pan. This leaves the front part under your legs at an odd angle which at first is an odd feeling .

Nissan Kicks SV
This car gets fantastic gas mileage! For the little tank that it has it can last me up to 2 weeks with my typical to work and back and errands schedule. I get stopped constantly with people asking what it is and complimenting the way it looks. I test drove many different cars when shopping and this one drives far better than its' competitors. For my first brand new car I couldn't be happier with my choice and at the price point it's at I don't have a single complaint in 11 months!

Get past the drawbacks, and you may like this!
I've been in the IT field for 25+ years as a field tech. Been driving SUV's since 2006, with the last three being the Xterra. All three were ultra dependable vehicles. Maintenance, especially repairs could be a bit expensive, but it was manageable. After an expensive repair to my 2013 Xterra Pro-X at 120k miles, I thought it was time for a change. No longer a tech, now an aspiring educator, so vehicles like the Xterra are no longer needed. A logical choice may have been to switch to the Rogue. I like sharp, aggressive lines to my vehicles. Rogue didn't have it. Kicks does. But there were 3 items that bothered me. Going from a 6 cylinder engine to a 4 cylinder with only 125 horses means I give up a lot of passing power on the expressway. Acceleration is painfully slow Along with the rear brakes having drums instead of discs meant that I have to adjust my driving habits. Finally, no AWD, means that I can't plow through small to medium snow drifts anymore(I live in Chicago, IL...don't need to explain about our winters!!) Recently became familiar with the gist of the CVT transmission. Pulleys and belts have replaced gears, and I hear that at 100K the trans will have problems. A trans fluid exchange will cost about $300 Once I moved past that, there is (personally) much to like about the Kicks. First time using Android Auto, but when it comes to navigation systems, I'll stick with my external Garmin GPS. I'm 60 yrs young, and a bit on the portly side, but the Kicks is still very comfortable, and easy to get in and out of. There is no center console. The armrest is a bit of a joke. I did have the optional console installed, but the installation is pricey. If one may want the console, buy from eBay or Amazon...much cheaper!! No CD player (really?) but a USB stick works just fine. I love the mix of analog and digital for the dashboard. This is my first vehicle with the Intelligent Key System, so you know I'm loving that!!I also love the steering wheel (something different)The tires looked kinda puny to me (remember, I live in Chicago) and I wanted something that would give me better handling and road grip. So i ditched the 205-55-17's and got a set of 225-50-17's Much more solid ride, and may help with the absence of AWD. Looked better too.. wider tires give the Kicks a sportier look. So after adjusting to sitting a bit lower, with less engine and braking power, I can confidently say the transition is complete, and the Kicks is a pretty nice vehicle. One last concern is the long term dependability and durability of this vehicle. Time will tell

Great styling and ergonomics, some misses
I had one of these as a rental on a business trip for a week. I really like the styling and the compact design. It's a more attractive vehicle than the discontinued Juke, but after driving, I found it does some things well and falls short in some key areas. My personal vehicle is a 2015 Murano and I have also owned a Nissan Rogue. The good: Very attractive styling inside and out. Easy to get in and out of. Mileage seems decent. Dashboard design is excellent with terrific ergonomics and visibility. Ride is reasonably quiet, even on the highway, and at highway speeds, engine speeds were <2,000 rpm, which is excellent for a four-cylinder. Reasonably sprightly acceleration around town at low to mid-range speeds. Handles well, and seems very stable and responsive. Large media screen and well-placed controls. The not-so-good: It's underpowered - and should at least offer an engine upgrade as an option. 140-150 hp would probably be fine and better suited to this vehicle. Very little power to accelerate into traffic quickly at highway speeds - and I wouldn't want to pass cars on a two-lane in this vehicle. It just doesn't have a lot of power at higher speeds. Size-wise, this is similar to the Juke, but with 60 hp fewer, about a third reduction from the Juke. Seats are also uncomfortable for longer trips; my thighs were starting to hurt just after a couple hours of driving, something I never experienced in my Murano, the Rogue, or various Altimas I have rented. And this car should offer an AWD option - but would definitely need an engine upgrade for that. Overall a decent entry-level SUV, but Nissan clearly compromised on some significant things on a car that's the logical successor to the Juke. They definitely improved the design and ergonomics. If Nissan would offer AWD and a more powerful engine, I'd consider buying one, but as it stands now, it's off my list, and too bad, because it's a cute little vehicle with some good features and a lot of potential.

I really want to say it is a great car.....really.
We have had several problems that frustrate me because this is good value for money and should be better than this. The engine stalling problems surfaced. Dangerous because it happened in traffic. Dealer said it was 3 fuel injectors...so car off road while parts arrived. That did not fix it so 5 more were ordered. Test drive showed it was not fixed. Back in again and waited off road for a fuel pump to be installed. Test drive showed the problem was still there but they said a gasket on the new pump was defective. Waited off road until it was installed and that problem was solved. Transmission is acting up. It hesitates and lurches between first to second shifts. Feels like an overdrive not locking in properly. Dealer says there is no problem? The collision avoidance light came on and the vehicle began braking on its own. That was fixed. The problems started about 15,000 kms and now we are just over 40,000. Fingers crossed that the transmission breaks down before the warranty expires. The driver's right arm rest blocks the seatbelt release and the gas tank is too small. The Bose sound system is great, like the cargo space, like the legroom front and rear. I have never had a new car before with this many design, safety and quality control problems. It's a shame... It spent almost a week in the dealers at this new latest visit. They say the dangerous jerking the engine makes under hard acceleration like lane merging...first...is not happening....then they say it is my fault as I am hitting the brake pedal....then the engine was not designed to be driven like that and I am abusing the car....I should not accelerate hard, I should not rev the engine past 3000 rpm.....even thought the "S Mode" setting on the car does just that. In other words they did NOT fix the problem Initially they had talked about buying the car back but that option was never discussed this time. So we are stuck with a car that malfunctions when driven as it needs to be occasionally driven and was designed to be driven. They blame me and say the problem does not exist at the same time. Nissan can forget me ever buying one of their cars ever again.

Spacious Compact SUV
I drive with Uber, and I can't tell you how many times I've had passengers comment positively on the leg room they get in the back seat, even sitting behind the driver. The cargo area also has plenty of space for a cooler or several suitcases. It is also wide enough to fit three car seats across (two of them are narrow). For all this room, it still gets 28mpg hwy. Two thumbs up!

Twenty three thousand for three years naw...
This new kicks sr has many problems. Transmission seems to slip...wont last long. Air conditioning goes on soon as you touch any controls. Radio not a bose and screen goes black...also freezes. Engine seems to stumble lowering rpms when holding brake. Really have to hold brake hard to hold car at stop. Rides very hard After taking all panels off in the rear of vehicle found the rattling which was the rear seats. The best thing of this car was the fuel economy. Bye by kicks...sold it.

Not for long drives!
I work for a blood center as a courier. I work 20 to 25 hours a week putting on 4500 miles a month driving so I have had plenty of drive time with these vehicle. Last year we used Nissan Rouges which was very comfortable to drive. This year, they wanted to cut the transportation by 15% so they went with the Kicks. It has not taking long to figure out the Kick does not cut it. First, the range is only about 300 miles. Our runs are usually longer than this so we have to fill up more than once. Second, the interior design is NOT for comfort. I am 6'1" and weigh 210 pounds. There is no center counsel to rest your arm on instead a small pull down arm rest on the seat. It is about 1 1/2" to 2" wide and so close to the body it does no good. The left arm rest is built into the door and is to narrow with no padding. The Rouge is a much more comfortable car and great for long drives. The Kick would be good around town when you don't need to be in it to long. Third, the sound system is a disappointment. It just does not have the range to pick up radio stations that are further away. The Rouge had no problem. Fourth, the gas mileage is about the same as a Rouge. Not worth the sacrifice of the discomfort. I would NEVER buy a Kicks. Just not worth it.

Regrets
I purchased my kicks new in 2019. I bought it sight unseen since I needed a car badly. The eats are the worst hard and uncomfortable. I hate that rubber band feeling and takes forever to get up to speed when merging on the highway. 70,000kms later in 4 years, now there are major steering issues I am on the hook for when the 2020,2021,2022, and the 2023’s all have the same issue but are under recall where the 2019’s are not.

Where Did the Power Go ???
I get a call from my local Nissan Dealer every month and he wants me to trade my Nissan JUKE for a new KICKS model. I tell them that I know the KICKS is a nice vehicle with all the bells and whistles, but the giant underlying fault is the horsepower in the JUKE is 188hp compared to the timid 125hp you get with the Kicks. I cannot bring myself to do that swap because I know how well the JUKE accelerates and handles in all driving conditions. After all this is said and done, the JUKE is a much better drivable vehicle. I still don't understand why they didn't put the same power plant from the JUKE into the new KICKS …...
The Yugo was a better built vehicle
This vehicle has been in the shop more than it has been on the road. Transmission grinding at 300 miles, which they still cant resolve. Strut failed, seat belt had to be replaced and the infotainment center took a dump. Vehicle has been at the dealership 4 times. I haven't seen my car in over 8 weeks and the dealership wouldn't even provide a loaner. The best way to get back on your feet is to purchase one of these clunkers, because you will be walking. Nissan North America will not even respond back to you. Finally had to hire an attorney and Nissan won't even respond back to him. Stay far away from Larry H Miller Nissan in Mesa, AZ and stay far away from the Kicks. Nissan has a class action lawsuit and has had to settle thousands of claims with their junk CVT transmissions. The Yugo was a better vehicle than this! This was by far the worst vehicle I've ever owned.

Nice car with a couple of huge missteps by Nissan
I bought a Juke in 2011 and absolutely love everything about it. When Nissan announced that they were discontinuing the Juke, I was heartbroken. Then they announced the Kick, and I thought "hey, it's the 'new' Juke." Unfortunately, that was not to be. There are a lot of good things about the Kick. I like the aesthetics of the design. It is very reasonably priced. Good gas mileage. Decent cargo space for a car of this size. A number of nice bells-and-whistles that aren't ridiculously expensive. But the bad news... Nissan, if you are listening, why would you build a crossover that doesn't have an optional AWD package? If you live somewhere where the temperatures never fall below 40 degrees, maybe that's a luxury you'll never need, but for the 3/4 of the market where snow, ice, and heavy rains can be an issue, AWD is an essential. It is the most important reason I looked at crossovers to begin with. You don't build a crossover without this option unless you intend to turn away 40-50% of the potential market for a vehicle of this kind. The car is also significantly underpowered compared to the Juke. This is also a big issue for me. I got 30+ mpg in stop and go DC driving for 8 years with my 188hp 1.6 litre turbo. The slightly anemic Kick drivetrain just doesn't provide the same performance on the road.

Went from Honda to nissan kicks!
A few specs: I have owned this car 2019 for two years now and have 15,500 miles on it. I haven't driven much last year due to covid. It is the lowest. trim because I wasn't going to pay a two grand extra for android auto. I had a 2005 honda civic lx that sadly died the day I bought this car. Why I gave it a 3, my old honda got amazing mpg, upper 30s on the regular. This car only gets above 30 mpg if you travel 65 on cruise control, the mpg has been grossly overrated which is a sore spot for me. Now compared to other SUVs this is apparently amazing but it was a little shocking for me. The defrosting only works when you suck in air from the outside, my old civic would defrost and still recirculate. I am not a super car enthusiast, so I don't care about things like engine size, handling etc. Summary: the first year so far has been good, hasn't broken down yet. I do like the hatchback a lot, I fit a twin sized mattress in the car! I paid 16k while the fit and hrv were in the 20s. The back seat is huge, I am 5'11 and fit in it just fine. So, I would buy it again, especially for the price. I am just a cheapo though!! 2 yr update: mpg is still terrible, gets blown around in the wind and makes a weird hum sound. For the price I would buy it again, but am hoping to go electric.

Bought because "cheap" - fell in love with it!
I honestly purchase this vehicle as a cheap runabout. Pandemic was unfurling and I wasn't commuting to work - warranty up on my old car etc. I got what seemed to be like the "deal of the decade" at my local (deserted) dealership on an SV model. I came from a high end vehicle with all the bells and whistles - it even parked itself...nice trick...used it once LOL The Kicks gets all sorts of reviews that say it's gutless, I have to say that it's pretty peppy - and I can cruise down a highway at 140kmh without noticing the speed creep up! I have to floor it a bit more than a 3L V6 on the onramp.... but to be fair, it's not a struggle or anything. The interior is not plush but the more I live with it, the more I like its utility - it feels way nicer than the Ford high end vehicle I recently sat in when I got picked up by a friend. Nothing about it is spectacular, but I can't find anything the really annoys me. I Paid the same price for this car after tax all-in than most people pay leasing the lowest spec Acura you can buy for 14 months at .99% apr (I did the math!). The CVT is new to me, honestly I didn't notice - doesn't make funny noises and they built in an electronic function so that you feel a pseudo shift. The cargo space is incredible when you consider the overall dimensions of the car. This is a bit rambling I suppose, but my take on it is that the Kicks is fun to drive, does not feel cheap as the reviewers seem to love to point out.... it's great on gas....sit's you higher than a sedan but doesn't make you feel like you are dring a truck. I live in Canada - we get snow... quite a lot... all these people whimpering about AWD really grind my gears - AWD does not help with anything else than starting traction....a decent set of tires and you are golden!

Don’t buy it!
I had my 2019 brand new from September 2019-January 2022. In the span of less than a year (February 2021-January 2022), I had the battery replaced twice, brand new engine, and new strut bearings. Most of the issues were from November 2021-January 1, 2022, when I had the vehicle for one week before the issues persisted (couldn’t start the vehicle, all lights flickered and lost all power). Run away from this vehicle, it will be in the shop in no time!

Not worth it
I made a huge mistake in trading in my 2015 Nissan Altima for a Kicks. It is not near as comfortable riding in, the acceleration is pure garbage, and yes gas milage is good but I find myself having to fill my tank more often. I miss my car that is 4 years older than the Kicks and that's pretty sad. 0/10 do not recommend.
Very uncomfortable
I had this car as a rental for 2 weeks as my 2017 Altima had transition issues. I noticed after a couple of days that my neck and back were very sore. The seats are not made for comfort. I am 5’3” with a petite figure and the seats have no upper back support causing soreness. I drive a lot for a living (home hospice nurse) and drive on average 100-300 miles per day. I travel on major highways in the Chicago area and this car has no get up and go. The only reason I gave it 2 starts is because the cargo space is adequate despite this being such a compact car. Also, the gas mileage is great. In the city I am getting 32-33 mpg. Luckily this car was just a rental. On a side note- I will never buy another Nissan! They have poor customer service at the corporate level and their cars are so cheaply made that I drove rental more than my car. I felt obligated to trade in my brand new Altima with 50k miles as the warranty was almost up. I took my losses as to not have to pay more for repairs or an extended warranty.

Stylish Slug
This car has a good outside profile and I really like the interior. The car handles well around town. That is the extent of its pluses. Unfortunately, the car has virtually no power. Do not attempt to pull out in front of anyone. The body is tin metal cheap with the gas cap cover showing signs of stress wear within the year - ridiculous. The CVT transmission will drive you nuts with hard shifts and frequent sticking in a particular gear - took it back and was told this is normal? Nissan may make a few good cars, but this is not one of them.

Great fuel efficient car, but I outgrew it
I had my Kicks for just over two years, and just traded it in for a Toyota Tacoma. Overall, I was impressed with the car, and how reliable it ended up being in a few precarious situations. It was what I needed 2 years ago and at the right price point, but I traded it in last week as I was ready for something bigger for my family and something more rugged for all of the exploring we do in the backcountry. Pros: loved the 33+ mpg, how zippy and compact it was without feeling like a Kia Sol, how it had quite a bit of space for a compact SUV (I took the backseat out and built a camping platform for the pup and I for overnight car camping), that it had higher clearance than a small sedan so I could hit most popular hiking trailheads without too much stress, seats were fairly comfortable for longer trips, and I had no real maintenance issues at all over the two years I had it (see note about radio below). Cons: BEWARE OF THE BLINDSPOTS. This thing has so many blindspots that my partner who drives a Toyota 4Runner almost side swiped a couple people when she borrowed it for work one day. Get used to looking over both shoulders and double-checking. Even with the blindspot indicator, we had a couple close calls. Also as others have noted, the car tended to lurch a bit when at a stop sign. The first few times it happened, I thought it was my fault for slipping my foot off the brake, but it continued to happen even when I was holding the brake pretty hard. Also, the radio system glitches out a lot. The left knob was basically useless the last few months. Some times, the radio would turn off without warning or switch stations. It was odd. Although the seats were comfortable, I think Nissan leaves a bit to be desired with the interior. Also, the small gas tank was nice on my wallet, but a pain on longer trips in the woods since I really had to be aware of how much gas I had. Overall, I recommend this little car primarily for its fuel efficiency and reliability, but do be warned about the blindspots and odd radio issues! The stereo issue might have been an easy fix at the dealer, maybe a reset of some kind, but my local dealership service department was a struggle every time I went in there, so I never tried to get it fixed.

2019 Nissan Kicks
Overall it's a nice car that has good acceleration on the highway for passing slower vehicles. The only bad thing is the instrument panel. If it's sunny out it is very difficult to read the screen and use the prompts. The backing up camera is useless also on a sunny day as screen is unreadable. My car came with all season radials tires but they are terrible in the snow so next winter I'm getting snow tires.

Kicks, more like a stumble
Overall this vehicle was fine. It got me from point a to point b without any issues. It has very cool features and accessories for such a moderately priced vehicle. However this car was very lacking in what I need in a vehicle. I bought this in a haste as i needed a good quality, small SUV after my vehicle got totaled(not my fault). Nissan is great for many things in the vehicle world and the Kicks is a newer model for Nissan. They got off on a good foot but this model needs some tweaks. For starters, DO NOT believe the gas mileage estimates. My kicks averaged around 23 city and 26 hwy. Not to mention it only has a 10gal tank so the range was not acceptable for me. I found myself filling up alot more often than I was used to. Also, since it only has 122hp, this car does not have any pick up a go. It's a slow crawl to speed. There is no punching it to get into a small opening on the freeway. This car will get you to speed but take it's sweet time doing it. I got the midrange model with the upgraded sound system and it was worth it. However, the speaker box in the back is not placed well and takes up 25% of your storage space. Makes for very awkward loading and its difficult to remove when you need a flat surffac.. The electronic display and touch screen up front needs some tweaking too as the screen pops on and off and gets frozen easily. Dealership downloaded a patch but it didn't do any good. Also the Collision alert system is very fragile and will come loose with any impact. I got tapped in a parking lot and my front sensor was dislodged and had to be reset at the dealer. As stated, overall, its a good vehilce. Just not for me. Traded it in 12 months after purchase for a vehicle I love.

Kickerdoodle
I do like the vehicle. It was in my budget line. Some small annoyances, but I will enjoy it for the remainder of my lease. I would not buy it.
Fair Price, but a bit small
I liked the features of the Kicks, but a bit cramped for me!

Not a good car
The car is comfortable, it’s spacious on the inside, nice looking interior. Very unstable on highway speeds, road noises sound like you have the windows open, only one year of owning it and rust is already appearing on the roof. The crash sensors go off for no reason, transmission shifts hard in occasions, the dash speakers sound awful and the dealership does not want to replace them even though the car is still under warranty. The headset unit was replaced 3 months of owning it due to problems. Accelerating is abismal. Overall, not worth it.

My Black Beauty
I’m a senior citizen and did not want a bulky SUV, so I downsized to my Kicks. It is just right and she has style and get up and go when I need it. She’s just right!
Cute, Efficient, Lots of features
I love this car. I have had three luxury vehicles prior to this and have felt I had all the bells and whistles in just the right size small SUV. Great gas mileage, comfort, and lots of features. Surround viewing is a plus, sound system is great, and car play too.
Heater
Needs a better heater

Fun Little Car
For the price, the car comes loaded with features. Heated seats, keyless entry, push to start are some highlights. The not so great. Sub par handling, not that great fuel efficiency and the list of common Nissan issues with the radio & CVT transmission. * Update 7-7-2022 * We traded this car off last year at 20,000 miles. We got a Hyundai Venue SEL, less options but a better car.

Nissan kicks 2019
When i first seen the kicks, i was in awe. After having my car now for 2 weeks, i am noticing things i didnt before that seem to concern me. Now the gas is ok seeing how i drive 200 miles a day. So i average a fill up every 3 days. Also the seats are comfortable and is has more room than my yaris. So here is my problem. I guess since the car was sitting so long, rust gathered around the tail pipe and the inner tires but ok i can see that but the other issues are.... The seat belt dont chime to let you know when you have it on and there is no icon that lets you know when your car is warming up. Unless i am not looking in the right spots, i have yet it see or hear them. Also too you can lock the door with the car being on and yes i have a push start. However this is really bad since i have a 4 yr old. And it beeps when you are more than 100 feet away from another car bc it thinks you are going to crash. So some pros and cons but all in all, we will see.
