Car would not start

I purchased the 2023 GLC, special order with all the options, color etc. After waiting for it to arrive, I drove it one day and then it would not start the next day. The mercedes dealer said it was the Power Train Module. It was damaged and the cause was unkown. Later it appeared to be a software problem but again it would not start, lots of noise and lights flashing. I demanded my money back and got it. walked down the street and bought a Volvo. I was very fortunate since it now does appear that the 2023 GLC has major problems

Do not buy this car!!

The car is pretty inside and out, but it stops there. The driver assistance system has had errors 3 times and is back in the shop for the 4th time. Random check engine light comes on. The volume of the radio drastically increases and decreases and low speeds without an option to turn off. The rear camera opens and closes constantly in city driving which can be heard over the radio as it turns down while slowing. The dealership has no idea what's going on with the car, and their customer service center is useless. The angles of the windshield and windows cause significant reflection of the interior lights and interior items even without direct sun. There's no way this vehicle or it's systems were road tested.

2023 GLC 300 Stay Away

Was excited to get this vehicle until i got stuck 4 weeks later when it completely shut down on a bridge in NY. Towed in to a local dealer who said it was just a software update and you are all set to go. A few weeks later same thing - dashboard lights flashing and complete shutdown, towed in to another MB dealer who had it for 14 days and could not find a problem. Trying to get MB to take it back but they said no and would not do anything. It appears that they are just selling these cars and if problems pop up they will try and fix them. Also had 4 recalls for problems in 10 months. When has anyone ever experienced this? No quality here and poor customer service. No more Mercedes Benz for me.

Where did the comfortable seats go?

I traded my 2021 GLC 300 for the 2024 model. The ‘21 front seats were very comfortable, not in the ‘24 model. Also Mercedes really needs to step up to competitors in safety features - they unreasonably and significantly increase the price and safety features are standard in so many less expensive vehicles. The ‘24 model does have some great updates since ‘21, including the placement of the MBUX screen, but I believe this will be my last Mercedes purchase.
