I rented an EQB 300 for 4 days in Chicago a couple weeks back. I am truly surprised at how bad this car is. Terrible ergonomics, unreadable and unreachable A/C controls. Horrible range of less than 100 miles on a full charge. Joyless driving with nothing going for it except for maybe space. Drives poorly, obviously with such a small range, if taken on a family vacation would more than double the time with all of the stops needed to keep going.. Regenerative braking is obtrusive, throttle pedal slow response is unnerving. Knobs and controls poorly placed, there is nothing to like about this car.

We own a 2023 EQB . We purchased the car with only 750 Mi. In December of 2023. We got it for only $44,000 which was even better because all the depreciation was already taken off. The original sticker on the car was $63,850. I really don't understand all the bad reviews but I guess they have their reasons all I can say is that have a 48 amp charger that we had installed at the house and wow what a convenience. The car is perfect for my wife who does local driving and normal day-to-day activities. We are getting about 238 miles per charge. So far has not had to take it in for any service as of yet, but it has two years free service at the dealership which is only 18 miles away. But so far it's a great car got it at a good price. This is Mercedes-Benz entry level model without all the futuristic design and characteristics of both electric vehicles. Just a well-built and sturdy car so far.

It took nine months or so to work

On day one the SOS and other features went out. Over two months later no replacement part available. last week vehicle would not start. In the shop no idea when it might get fixed Could be a nice vehicle if the electronics worked Update - the electronics have been fixed. Took at least nine months. It’s great to just plug it in to “refill”. Handles nicely. Fun to drive. In the cold weather the battery drains rapidly. Maybe only 200 miles between charges. Good city car July 2025. Speed limit indicator flashes rather than providing a steady image. Not worth wasting at least a day to take it in for maybe a fix. Range seems to be declining Car has nice ride, comfort, acceleration etc. but lacks range and I’m concerned about what might not work next
