It is a tight fit for a large person, I'm 6'2" and 235 but once in it is comfortable a little snug but comfortable. Gas mileage good but not outstanding. Hardtop convertible and it has wind noise at highway speed but no leaks even in hard rain.

2020 update: The little Miata continue to perform well, super fun to drive, no issue whatsoever. Got new tires this summer as the OEM tires started to dry rot after 30k miles/6yr. True sports car are becoming rare and this is one of them. It's super fun to drive around town, longer highway trip can be a bit loud but tolerable. Had mine for three and half years and 18k miles, no issue what so ever. Love the PRHT, definitely get the smart top module to enable one touch raise or lower the roof on the go.

This car is for someone who loves a quick, sporty ride and has the physical ability to get in and out of a car extremely low to the ground.

I bought the 2015 model as a new car with 16 miles on it, with the retractable hardtop, and believe it will be a collectors' item if Mazda continues to offer only the soft-top. Handling is great, more fun per miles (FPM) than most other cars! Looking forward to next summer. In 2018, I finally hit 10k, and still love driving it in the summer--around 70 degrees is most comfortable! At 11,000 miles, no repairs needed, tires holding up well, still a joy to drive 9 months a year!
