Best SUV For The Price!

I've owned my CX-7 for 8 years and It's given me zero problems. I always do maintenance service on time at a local Mazda dealership so it's been extremely reliable. I have zero complaints. The suv is the most fun to drive, safe, reliable and affordable suv in its class. It has power, handling, it has large cargo room, even more with the seats folded. The interior is better than its competitors. Both the exterior and interior is stylish. YOU WON'T FIND ANYTHING BETTER IN IT'S PRICE RANGE. Trust me, I've owned a Acura MDX, a Toyota Highlander (both although extremely boring, the MDX almost made me cause an accident by almost falling asleep on the road), an E53 BMW X5 4.4L. Good torque and smooth ride but it's was extremely heavy. It felt like driving a tank and it gave me problems after problems. I had electric issues. The doors wouldn't open only when they wanted to. I ended up getting locked out several times. It developed a nasty oil leak. I would have to give it a 1qt per weak later the transmission started to act up until it no longer wanted to go into second. All these problems were coming up even as I keeping up with regular maintenance. So it was extremely unreliable. That was my last BMW. I remember before I bought the Mazda I tested several suvs. I tried a Jeep, a Tahoe, an explorer and several other suvs from GM/Chevy, Ford and Dodge/Chrysler and NONE came even close to matching the fun to drive dynamics, the features, or the design in the same price range. This is simply the BEST suv in it's class. It offers everything and more than its competitors and it does it at a lower price. Car magazines also noticed thats why It won the SUV of the year in several websites/magazines. This is simply the best of the best for the money. I love my Mazda!

1. Turbo replacement at 65K miles....$3400 2. FIRST VVT replacement at 72K miles....$1600 3. SECOND VVT replacement at 90K miles....$1200 (got only the part...$450...as "goodwill"...yeah me!) 4. Transmission replacement at about 100K miles....$4000+ ....getting a letter from Mazda in the mail that "extends the warranty" on the VVT...thinking I may be able to recoup ~$3000, only to find that the extension was only to 70K miles.....PRICELESS!!!! Does anyone else find it odd that these warranties expire JUST before something MAJOR happens? Someone is getting "ZOOM ZOOM'd" alright!!

A true "Sport" utility vehicle

The CX-7 is the anti-Toyota. Toyotas are great reliable products, and there are many people who love the isolated ride, but for those who like to experience the "Sport" in SUV, the CX-7 is a great alternative. In all I am very happy with my CX-7, however there are things to note. First is the there is a noticeable turbo lag, which at times makes the acceleration a little unpredictable. The ride is definitely on the stiff side, which is great for cornering, but not so great for those who like a smooth ride. This also contributes to the road noise at highway speeds. There is some torque steer from the front wheel drive. In all it is a great car for those who don't want to buy a Toyota.

This is by far the nicest cross over suv on the market today. It is fast, fun to drive and a head turner for sure.

There has been something wrong with this engine I noticed it right after I brought it, I have a clacking sound when starting it, every now anf then white smoke from the exhaust, oils burning, I have gotten oil chages regularly, I think the turbo is going bad, I brought it from Monroeville Chrysler Jeep and Dodge they over priced it and when I took it back the next they denied any problems. The turbo I hear is 3000 to fix , do not take the risk.
