T’was a wonderful vehicle!

I loved my 2010 RX350, but recently traded in for a 2017 RX350 solely because I’m (according to my wife) spoiled. It had 123,480 miles on it an rode and drove like it was new. No mechanical problems, no squeaks or rattles, nothing. (Heck, when I traded my 2004 RX 350 for the 2010 it was just as good). My only gripe about the 2010 was there was no overhead place to secure sunglasses and the location of the USB and other charging ports (cigarette lighter style plug in) was very awkward (in the inside BOTTOM of the console).

Love the Rx 350

I have driven the Lexus RX series for over seven years now. I will never drive another car again. It has to be the smoothest ride that a car can deliever. The luxurious feel it provides and it is so spacious that you never feel smooshed no matter if you have a full car load or just two people. Everybody who drives my car always states how nice it is to drive and it is not the least bit bumpy. I highly recommend the Lexus RX series to anybody. It never disappoints. I bought this one at the Lexus in Watertown. I will say it started out as a rough transaction but they have gone above and beyond to make the customer happy. I would recommend them, especially Steve. Very helpful and considerate.

We purchased the 2010 RX350 as a replacement for a Volvo XC Wagon, which was a maintenance disaster. We've had one previous Lexus. I concur with many who state they don't understand the negative comments. There is little I find fault with in this vehicle. The seats are firm, comfortable on long rides, and cooled. The handling is solid, with excellent steering response. Quality throughout exceeded what I noticed in BMW and Acura SUVs. As for gas mileage, given engine size and performance, I'm pleased, averaging 22.5 after 10,000 miles. We did not opt for the nav system, as I couldn't justify the added cost over a plug-in GPS.

I bought this car used with 25 K on the odometer. It was a dealer loaner. I now have 75 K on the odo, and it has only been back to the dealer once, for my putting an aftermarket battery in the key fob. The car is flawless. Only maintenance aside from oil changes every 5 K was brakes at 70 K. The car will be 8 years old in June, and the leather seats are showing their age. Tires don't make it to 40 K. It is just so - so in the snow. It is sneaky fast, and very quite. It rides as solid as the first day I bought it. This car isn't past half of its expected life. An amazing car.

Owners for over a year now. Great highway cruiser (frequent 2-5 hr trips); very quiet and comfortable. Front seats are superb! Very nice instrument display, especially when driving at night. Storage b/t seats is very nice idea and quite convenient. Very nice balance b/t handling and ride - I laugh every time I see discussion about "handling" and SUVs - if you want sports car handling - buy a sports car! The RX is a very good choice for those wanting comfort with a healthy dose of versatility.

After being fleeced in repairs on my 2014 Cadillac, I took my mechanic's advice and looked for a Lexus RX350. Found a 2010 model with only 84,000 on it and snatched it up. Agree with most that it is superior in so many ways -- the ride, the reliability, and the comfort are standouts. I hope to have this one for a long time.

This is my first Lexus. After two months of driving, I am extremely pleased with my decision to purchase this vehicle over BMW, Mercedes and Accura options that I test drove and considered carefully. Very solid feel with smooth and quite ride. Good performance, and gas mileage is even better than advertised. I have been in older versions of RX350 and the 2010 version looks better inside and out, and drives much better. I have read some of the negative comments that have been posted and I can not relate at all. My standards for excellence are high and the RX 350 is an excellent SUV. Go test drive a used 2009 RX 350, and the other options. 2010 RX is a real winner.

I have owned several different new auto- mobiles and this is definitely the finest of them all. I have 10000 miles on it and haven't had to do anything but regular service. It is a combination of quality and pride of ownership. The satisfaction of owning a car that you can get in and go without worrying what needs to be fixed is wonderful. I feel that it is the finest car on the road for me. I love my RX 350. I would recommend it to anyone! The quality is worth the extra money!

I've owned three new RX's from 2004 through 2008. I went from no Nav to a good Nav to a great Nav and now to a spectacular Nav in my 2010 RX. The mouse-like control on the console is a killer app. Thanks to the adjustable tactile feel on the screen pointer, it is very easy to select Nav, Sat, Audio and numerous other vehicle controls even while you're driving. Thanks to a larger vocabulary, the voice recognition is far superior to the 2008/2009 version. This RX is quieter, rides firmer, and although noticeably larger, it still handles like a car. With no more strut towers in the luggage space, four golf bags easily fit. I like the 2008 taillights better but overall, the 2010 looks better.

This is my first SUV and Lexus. The ride is comfortable with good visibility both front and back. Gas mileage has been spot on. With over 1300 miles 65-70% highway getting 21.2 mpg overall. Very comfortable seats (I'm 6'3"). Layout of controls are good and easy to use for me. Received a UBS and power plug extension from dealer which eliminates problems I read about access. Not as high performance as BMW X5 (X5 handles better) but that is not what I was looking for out this vehicle. RX has plenty of power. RX zero problems and quality seems very good so far. Can't say the same for the X5. This vehicle is designed for a pleasant ride.

Do not believe the few bad reviews here. I STRONGLY believe, in my opinion only, that these are spies from the other car companies, the closest competitors writing some of this nonsense. Just a warning. Use your common sense. I have owned the car for almost a year now. Fact: it is the smoothest and quietest SUV you can buy. People are posting that it's a little trucky but there is a little truth to that, but please note this is the best of all competitors out there. Fact: center console does fail miserably in design. But, I can live with it. I just drove to the Sequioas and a new X5 overheated, I just zoomed by laughing. Fact: Lexus is the most reliable car available

Had a 2000 RX300 for 10 years and 180,000 miles and decided we needed a new one. Have had the 2010 RS now for a month. Excellent vehicle. I don't know why all the negative reviews. Quality seems great. Solid driving feel. Smooth, quiet, and comfortable. I enjoy playing tunes on my iphone through the bluetooth and like not having to mess with keys in the ignition. My wife misses the room between the seats on the floor and the sunglass holder above. The available space given under the console is not that convenient. If the reliability of the new one is as good as the old one, I will be happy.

I love this vehicle. I replaced a 2001 RX 300 with this model because the Lexus RX had been so reliable and low maintenance. I love this vehicle (hate the location of cable plugs), but am worried that I have had the vehicle just over a month and having issues with auto shifting while in Drive. With in town driving, sometimes when I press the gas coming from a stop, it takes a second to do anything and then it revs the RPM with a quick jerk as it if is auto shifting. Other times when coming to a stop it jerks as if a rough down shift. So frustrating because I love the vehicle! Anyone else having this problem?

After 80000 miles Engine blew up. Known Problem

2010 (and earlier years of RX) have a known problem with the Oil Cooling Radiator's Rubber High Pressure hose bursting. This results in a complete Engine Failure which is an expensive ($7700.00) repair. Driving down the road the dashboard lighted up like a Christmas tree. Out of warranty too bad so sad. Having purchased an extended warranty from Lexus - it had expired, so too bad. Lexus not advising me of this flaw is unbelievable! Had the car in to dealership several times, they failed to inform me of this KNOWN fault. (Hose was not leaking...they said, so we didn't let you know about this problem with the engine.) Very disappointing, we have a Toyota Solara Convertible, and a Toyota Sienna Van. No help from Lexus. Note- got a salvage engine from junkyard installed for $3300.00 seems to be ok. Advice to those of you who have 1999 - 2010 Lexus RX SUV's - replace the Rubber Hose!!! or you will get "Hosed" by the Lexus dealerships.

Lots of negative review but it is starter luxury SUV for this price The ride compared to two previous ES 350 is just fine. The gas mileage is down from 27 average to 19.5 but it is a SUV. Very limited wind noise and quietness of vehicle is very much Lexus. I have gotten out of vehicle with it still running but in park several times. Love the storage area with only two rows of sits suit my lifestyle. I didn't get the nav, love the screen display of various settings. I am a 64 yr old and not your typical RX buyer. I personally think it is a great buy with the improved features for 2010. It sounds to me a lot the complainers should not be in a beginner luxury Suv but a lower value SUV.

I agree with people here who say to stick with prior model of RX. We miss our comfortable seat - this one has much harder seat. My back hurts after sitting in this seat - in my previous RX I was fine. We miss arm rests, the sun glass holder, the lights by home link and the entire car to be frank. The auto lights include the brights and for us the brights go off when we need them on and the solution is to turn off auto lights totally. If you have the older RX and are considering this as an upgrade keep the old one! Lexus needs to rethink this RX and add back in what they removed. Leather quality and wood in older models was much better than the 2010.

RX 350 Noisy Engine

I a have a 2010 RX 350 with about 9,000 miles. The engine has developed loud valve and tappet (I think) noise after about 5,000 miles. I am working with Lexus to find a resolution to this problem and have worked with the local service manager, the actual technician and a regional specialist. So far they have given me an answer that I don't think I or other RX350 users are going to like; which is "that's the way the engine sounds". Interestingly, I test drove a loaner with 700 miles (no noise) and a loaner with 12,000 miles (same bothersome noise as my auto). This could be a really big problem for Lexus in that owners buy their product for comfort, power and a quiet ride.

2010 RX... Big Mistake

Previously owned "11" Lexus RX's & very satisfied! Extremely disappointed with new 2010! Lexus went downhill on this model! The wind noise is terrible! Sounds like front windows are always cracked open. Headrests & seats very uncomfortable. Won't cool. NO more arm rests! Interior lost most of wood trim. Glove compartment, visor mirrors & holder for sunglasses made of flimsy plastic. Horrible console design. Lid does not open fully & is awkward to reach inside. 12V & USB buried at bottom of console. Need a flashlight to find them! Awkward space under console. No illumination on garage door buttons or reading lights. Hit & miss in the dark. Backdoors part of fender wells & will not stay clean. Our 2010 will be in the dealership for a week having door windows replaced. They think it will help stop the loud wind noise! We've had a great relationship with our Lexus dealer for many years. Too bad Lexus failed to deliver quality on this model.

After having a 2004 Lexus 330 RX for 7 years, I was thrilled to get a new 2010 350 RX last October. Very quickly I began to realize that the ride and the drive were clearly not the same. The 2010 is the roughest ride ever. I have complained at the dealership and had it checked out and they say everything is as it should be but I continue to bounce and rock sideways over the slightest bumps. Also the cargo pad is worthless. It is thin and has no substance and has wrinkled into a gnarly mess. The dealership says we had to have closed the cargo door on it and that just did not happen. The 2004 was a stronger fabric and much higher quality.

I have owned a 2010 RX 350 for six months now and have developed a fairly good feel for its pros and cons. This is my third Lexus since 1990, having owned a LS 400 and currently owning an LS 460. The RX 350 is my first SUV. Let me start by saying that I am not a fan of this style vehicle, preferring a station wagon instead. But I needed something that could tow. I find the peripheral vision in the RX is poor. Maybe it’s the tinted windows. Or maybe it’s the roof lines. But switching lanes, particularly to the right, is never fun in this vehicle. Also, the driver’s side view mirror is blurry and shows double images at the edges. Lexus says it’s a design problem and doesn’t plan to change the

This is my third RX (2004,2008,2010) and my least in love of the three. Like the HP, Nav, and dash design, but I think they've seriously underestimated the Lexus buyer. Being a repeat buyer, it's quite evident that they've cut cost on the area's that make the Lexus a standout luxury car. The RX back seats are no were near the quality of previous RX's. Seats are no longer have that thick forming design. The side door designs have been stripped bear. No more leather like stitching and padding on interior doors. Doors look like what you get in an American made suv. And quality of carpeting has also been downgraded. And no longer a full spare tire. The outside does not match inside.

The AWD system on this vehicle is horrible in the snow. It is not as good as other systems I am familiar with. It appears that the rear wheels only work when there is noticeable slip in the front wheels. The delay at which the rear wheels engage is very noticeable and is scary when going around corners. Even with the stability control the AWD system destabilizes the car around corners in slippery conditions.

Just traded my 09 RX for this one, and what a difference! The old style was good, but Lexus has jumped to a higher level of luxury and comfort with the 2010. You immediately notice the much quieter cabin, far-off engine noise, and luxurious interior. The navigation "mouse" appears intimidating, but even this old guy caught on very quickly. The screen is bigger and brighter, and completes addresses after you enter just a few letters, like a computer. Many of the Lexus Personal Settings are customizable from the nav screen, so it's much easier to try some out and then change back. I love this car, and even use it in place of my LS460 at times. Get one for yourself and see.

Switched 2008 RX350 for this one, and I am sorry I did. All futures, which do not work by design, when driving just distract you and make you dizzy. Voice activation system is missing commands 99% of the time. Some genius put microphones in the middle of front console, when they should be in front of the driver. Central console is protruding to much into the car, difficult to see knobs and digits. Navigation system is Ok, but traffic future can not show you overview of clogged roads for better planning.

I bought this car two weeks ago, after looking extensively at the Acura MDX, which was the only serious competition in the price range. I have driven other RX's, and though nice, were too isolated in driving dynamics. The 2010 is far different. Its ride quality is similar to that of a Mercedes sedan. Solid, quiet, sporty, not isolated at all with a nice amount of engine noise. It has a nice heft and handles with aplomb. This is not an enthusiast ride, but when do you really need a sports car experience in an SUV? It is solid, extremely comfortable, and has excellent performance. The new NAV system is excellent, and the Ipod and Bluetooth interfaces work well. Satisfied thus far.

When you keep cars as long as I do, it's probably more of a shock when you step into a wonderfully, comfortable car - features have changed in 10 years. I love my new car - it's comfortable, got amenities beyond my expectations, and has good pickup. Everything seems to be very logically laid out, and easy to use. It's got a lot of room, and drives really smoothly. It will take me awhile to get used to the quietness...

My almost brand new 2009 RX350 was damaged in an accident so I replaced it with the new 2010 RX350. Because I loved my 2009 RX so much I really did not think any other options and did not pay much attention during a quick test drive of the 2010 model. As soon as I got this new vehicle, I realized that this is not the same RX anymore. The engine is so much more noisy, the transmission is not as smooth as the old model and the ride is simply not as comfortable as the old one. If you have an old RX350, you will know that the new one is not as well built as it used to be. I absolutely regret buying the new model. If you have an old RX350, don't replace it with the new one.

Wins big in most areas, and loses big on others

The car is generally great. Reliability is the big seller to me. My complaints are about several minor areas, where Lexus has missed the mark completely. Example: each door in the front has a swing out pocket. The problem is that when the pocket is swung out, gravity rearranges the contents of the pocket such that it can no longer be closed. My model has a dash mounted cup holder along the lines of what used to be an ashtray. The design is such that you cannot put ANYTHING into the compartment and close the door. Pretty much useless except for cups. The center console lid doesn't fully swing open, thus making access difficult even when stopped. My car has utility outlets below the center console liner. So I use an extender cable to get the outlet where it can be reached. The overhead switches for interior lights, garage door openers, etc. are flush. Thus, you cannot easily find the buttons by feel. I find the voice commands for bluetooth phone, etc. to have much difficulty in understanding a voice. The climate control system is downright strange. It requires a lot of fiddling to turn A/C on/off to maintain comfort when setting a fixed temperature is supposed to do the trick. The driver's floor mat doesn't cover the carpet where your left foot rests, thus causing unnecessary wear. NOW for the biggie, which will influence my future buy of Lexus cars. The car comes with a "funny spare" (compact spare). That causes any problem with a tire to go from an annoyance to a trip ruining experience. The compact spare has a top speed of 55 mph. That's quite dangerous on western state freeways. And on drives such as Los Angeles to Las Vegas, there are few places to have the tire repaired. Now the worst part: the full sized flat tire will not fit into the space the compact spare occupied in the trunk. Thus, you will have to move luggage into the back seat or strap it on the roof rack. I realize that many other cars are using compact spares, but I would expect a luxury vehicle to not cut the corner so carelessly. Finally, for a premium car, I would expect a better audio system. If an optional premium audio system is offered, it should be bought. In test driving newer models of the RX than my own, I find most of the complaints have not been resolved. The car is comfortable, drives well, and handles very nicely. It is a bit bouncy going around a corner if there are bumps in the road. Updating 3-19-17 I haven't warmed up to the interior at all since the last review. There are so many little annoyances with the interior that the total gives me dissatisfaction with owning the car. Just this AM I got out of the car, and the door pocket was slightly open. It snagged my pants cuff. I also forgot to mention the seat pockets on the back of the driver and passenger side. They barely open and have hard covers that are uncomfortable against the knees of back seat passengers. The rear seat door pockets virtually hold nothing but a small water bottle. My first RX was a 99. It was the best car I've ever owned, and was far superior to the 2010 RX. The smooth ride of the 99 RX-300 was a dream. The A/C system was flawless. The center console did not extend to the dash, but had two roomy slide out drawers. I'm due to buy another car this year, and the RX is dropping lower on my list as a replacement. I'll take a look at the GX, and if it doesn't fit the bill, I'm off to another brand of car. The only selling point for me with another Lexus, is that in 20 years of driving Lexus cars, I've only had one significant mechanical failure. Update: Sold and bought a new RX 350L. It has many annoyances solved, some remain, and the spare tire still is a total failure. But I like it better than the 2010 model.

Several problems with my wife's car. First, the front right bumper pops out since the car was new. The dealership says we damaged it, but we didn't. Access to the charger is difficult if not impossible. Controls for seat heaters are difficult to access. Changing the tirp computer is impossible while driving because the controls are obscured by the steering wheel. Also, the general quality of materials is poor, easily scratched with normal use. For instance, the plastic trim in rear hatch scratches easily if brushed with objects placed into the car. After a short while, there are many scratches and abrasions appearing. Materials less durable than BMW or Land Rover.

Who makes up these changes?

I just don't understand how some of these changes make it out of engineering. Coming from 2005RX, the two buttons I press the most everyday are now 5 times smaller. The temperature buttons are like little pin size buttons compared to what was normal in RX. The stereo volume knob is 3 times smaller. Is bigger always better? The auto-close button on the hatch, smaller. Glovebox - smaller. I noticed in the 2005, the felt was "plusher" than in the 2010. The rack on the roof - GRAY on a black car? It should be the same color. Who makes these decisions? Joystick control on NAV systems is not as easy to use as just pressing your finger exactly what you want - especially the keyboard.

The 2006 RX was perfect in quality, reliability and performance, 60,000 miles with not one problem, so we traded for a 2010RX. A mistake, why? more wind noise, more road/tire noise, more motor noise, poorer ride quality,l poorer leather quality, gas mileage not as good, no side door strip protection, chrome roof stripe instead of black, poor interior AC outlets positions, no lighting on overhead buttons, over all quality not as good as a Lexus should be. Lexus needs to re-think their future RX's.

Picked it up a few weeks ago after trading in my '07 Lexus ES350. Love the handling and comfort. Nav system easy to use and mouse set up is perfect. The seats are extremely comfortable. Swiveling Xenon lights with auto high beam dimmers are great especially in the mountain areas that I live. Chemical order fairly strong but not annoying. Need to get rid of Eco light. Miss the larger temperature reading in middle of console.

New 2010 RX 350 - Lots of Initial defect

I have had my 2010 RX 350 for about 4 months now. In total, I have gone back 5 times for 3 different defects on the new model. I have had Navigation, A/C Radio problems (which all have TSB's issued by Lexus now). Not to mention the exterior defect of the driver side bumper I now have, due to wind damage from long distance driving. The front corner bumper is "popping" out of place every time I go on long drives. I'm going to have to wait until the next time I go in for service to have it checked out, I'm tired of driving loaners and paying for a new car. Overall, I am very disappointed that Lexus would send a car out on the road with so many problems.

Best RX to date

Coming from 2005 RX; I had compared with 2009 MDX, 2009 Veracurz, 2009 ML350, 2009 MKX. 2010 RX350 was best for what I/wife needed. AWD. Gen 6 Navigation, adoptive headlights, comfortable drive [standard 18’s], and perfect size [not too big or small] were primary reasons for the purchase. 2010 RX is noticeably improved in reduction of noise from both wind and road. Power and gas mileage is probably best in class as I have averaged 20 in mix driving. And suspension is not too hard or soft and it is perfectly tuned for what I want. Steering is another huge improvement over the 2005 and it is no longer “light” but has little more feel.

Don Skaggs wrote: "The remote start on my 2010 RX is poorly designed as the engine stops when the door is opened and you have to restart the engine which for all practical purposes defeats the usefulness of the remote start". I don't know if you have some state requirement, but my engine does not stop when I open the door. A few times I wished it did when I had not turned it off. You might check with the dealer. Love this vehicle. Have a 2002 RX300 which is a world away from this. I have 140K on it and never needed a "fix". Just brakes, oil etc. It was built on a Camry chassis, but the new one is built on its own chassis. Big difference. Much better than my X-5 (junk).

Had 2004 RX 330... Have MB Mclass 350, and 1998 MB 300 Turbodiesel. The 2010 RX is put together with meticulous craftsmanship.. everything fits perfectly, not one complaint in the first 1000 miles. Shocks are a little stiff with somewhat bumpy ride on New York City streets... but on smooth highway fantastic. Nav is very sophisticated... no lag in signal pickup. Excellent Bluetooth. Disconcerting small digital clock not in direct sight, and gets lost in sunlight. Very easy fold down rear seats. Steering is precise... could not spin Bridgestones (235-60/18) on wet road... have to see traction on snow Dash clear and concise, Nav screen clear and sharp. Fog light indicator light good addition.

4th Lexus bought largely on the capacity. has about 25% more space than competitors. interior quality has slipped with each purchase. 1999 gs was first and best. main complaint is the use of vinyl on seats and arm rests. it can't cost that much more to put leather on instead of vinyl. quality of leather has been progressively less with each Lexus i bought. "99gs, 2003 rx, 2008 gs and now 2010rx. passenger seat being replace due to wrinkles and bumpiness. poor quality control. the quality of the carpet is not as good as in prior yrs. being nit picking but lexus is not the luxury car it was in "99. i will probably buy a different brand. was impressed with Hyundai Veracruz.

This is my 3rd RX, and definitely the best yet. I loved my RX300 but hated my 2008 RX350, what a disappointment it was and I am so glad to be rid of it. This car is an absolute dream to drive, and is beautiful inside and out. I don't understand all the negative reviews, totally undeserving. The ride is so smooth, and this model is 10 times quieter than my 2008. It feels much more substantial and the cabin is more luxurious. No complaints at all. I actually like the new center console it gives the interior a more wrap around feel. Who wants all those power adapters visible anyway? I'm glad they are out of sight. I love this vehicle, great quality. Good job Lexus.

This is the second luxury SUV we've purchased. I picked this vehicle for it's luxury, safety, reliability and resale value. This SUV rides more like a luxury sedan. Fuel economy isn't bad for a vehicle this size, we get 19 to 20 mpg (mixed driving). The Lexus does everything extremely well without standing out in any one category. The car feels like an extension of my home. This vehicle is like an upscale home, at times you feel as if you're cruising around in your family room.

This is my 4th RX and they just keep getting better and better. The ride is superb and the power is exceptional. This car maneuvers like a train on tracks-at high or moderate speeds. The interior modifications make you feel like you're behind the controls of fighter jet and the new console controls are really neat and easy to use. Even the new exterior changes add a great touch to a perfect vehicle. If you're looking for a mid size SUV, this is the one.

When we ordered our 2010 RX we were assured it would come from Japan, all of our previous 5 Lexus' were Japan built. When the Canada manufactured RX arrived, dealer was surprised but we took the car. First thing that happened was at about 100 miles the front bumper popped off right at the headlights. Sure it was loose at delivery. Returned to dealer and they wanted to charge to repair the damage. Of course that did not fly and they fixed it no charge. Now at 2000 miles bumper is completely loose again just from normal driving. Also waiting on Lexus Customer Service to respond. In addition to above hood, door and car body are not aligned, build quality poor. Be sure your VIN starts with J.

Just purchased my new Rx350 and I'm glad i did! It's smooth and quiet goes over bumps like butter. I considered other Lux brands Like BMW and Cadillac, no comparison between them. Not that the other ones were "Bad" I just prefer the ride and the quiet of the Lexus. It's like being at 40,000 feet in a jet, smooth!

Traded in my 07 RX for 2010. I am so happy Lexus made the best crossover SUV even better. Had this car for one week and love driving it everywhere. Already getting 23 mpg on the first tank. The interior is miles better than previous model. It feels more upscale. The technology in this car is the best. The remote mouse is great and easy to use. Love the smart access. You can't go wrong with this car.

I had two Acura MDX and was afraid to buy a Lexus RX 350 AWD due to some negative reviews. This is an excellent SUV that drives very well and is comfortable. It does not get the same gas mileage of a car but is a lot better than the MDX. I have 780 miles on it with zero issues and love it. This one has everything I wanted and more.

A GREAT RIDE

The RX350 is probably the most dependable passenger vehicle on the road. I bought this 2010 loaded model, Certified Pre-Owned in 2012 after the 2013 models came out. 2010 brought the first major overhaul in style and substance since about 2005. Gas mileage would have been better with an 8-speed tranny, which they finally did with the 2016 upgrade, as well as smoother ride and loads of technology and safety features. Acceleration has never been a problem. Being Certified it came with 3 years added to the factory warranty, and we bought another 3 years for a total of 6 years Lexus warranty. It was rarely used due to the dependability of the vehicle. Several have complained about the joystick Navigation control, but I never had a problem with it. In fact, I prefer it over touch screen because the joystick is handy within arms reach, rather than having to reach for a touch screen. My car had the Premium, Luxury and Comfort packages, thus it is LOADED. I am impressed with the technology even in the 2010 model. I like the 2010 RX 350 so much I just bought a new 2017 RX 350--WOW!! Talk about TERRIFIC!!. The ONLY reason I decided to upgrade to the 2017 was for the new Safety and Technology the new one has: Radar/Adaptable Cruise, PCS (Pre-Collision Safety System), Blind Side Monitor, Lane "Keeper," and the better ride, etc.

This is my first Lexus, although my family has owned many. In my opinion, this is the best looking crossover but the interior is underwhelming. The doors are plastic and the center console in the front seat is not user friendly. The power outlets are way down in the bottom of the console and I have to remove everything to add or remove my cell phone charger. The backseat has made an awful squeaking noise since I purchased the vehicle. Five trips to the dealership have not fixed the problem. The light tan leather is beautiful but every time I wear blue jeans, they leave blue dye on the seats. This model does not have exterior door guards and although it looks great, this car is a ding magnet!

I owned the 2007 RX 350. In this new one there is less wood but more tech. The remote mouse is great, navigation much improved, sound system improved. The bluetooth is improved. People can now actually hear me when driving on the highway. Actually all the tech is fun to use. I drive a lot of miles so I find the ride more smooth slightly and so I am less tired. The cool seats work better if you change the A/C mode to up and down instead of auto and reduce lumbar support. I just wish they had the luxury package available that includes thigh extenders. They should have also included door sensor in back door like the other Lexus cars. But the new button to lock the doors is cool.

Old car was an ML55 AMG. This car is not as fast but is every bit as nice for 1/2 the cost. Vastly improved over prior year model. The extra weight makes for a smooth ride, the extra width and redesigned cockpit eliminates the skinny feel of prior models. Quality has been engineered into this car. They were almost giving away the 2009's but this is just a whole lot more car - worth the test drive to see for yourself.
