Old car was an ML55 AMG. This car is not as fast but is every bit as nice for 1/2 the cost. Vastly improved over prior year model. The extra weight makes for a smooth ride, the extra width and redesigned cockpit eliminates the skinny feel of prior models. Quality has been engineered into this car. They were almost giving away the 2009's but this is just a whole lot more car - worth the test drive to see for yourself.

Can't stand this car. Had a 2002 before and loved it. The car sounds like a diesel pickup truck when cold. Dealership and Lexus have refused to do anything about it. Wind noise at high speeds is terrible. It sounds like the windows are open just a little bit, but they are not. I like my Ford Edge 100% more, and it cost 25% less. Very loose handling and visibility. I will never buy a Lexus again.

Nothing beats the value, reliability, and comfort of my Lexus RX 350 SUV. I only wish the navigation was state of the art. This is my 4th RX! I hope Lexus has improved the location of a USB plugin! Best of everything! Update: I Purchased my Lexus with 24,000 miles. My intention was to drive it until it drops, hoping it would last many years. The plan worked. At the time , I also purchased a Lexus platinum warranty at a discounted price online , for up to 125,000 miles or 8 years. Any repairs never cost me a dime. The Warranty paid for itself , because I did have one $2800 repair. Other then that, my Lexus has been very dependable. I’m still a Lexus Lover at 118,000 miles and counting!

Forget buying a Lexus

Have a 2010 Lexus RX 350 with 61,000 miles and regular service. One buys a Lexus for reliability and durability. We have purchased 2 Toyota’s and 2 Lexus suvs so have been loyal customers. Recently, my check AWD and engine lights went on. Since I was closer in proximity to a Toyota dealer, I immediately had the warning lights checked at their dealership. $1512.53 later, I was told that I needed to replace timing gears at a cost of $10,167.98. If 61,000 miles is all you can expect from a Lexus, why pay out $48,000 (2010 prices) for this kind of disappointment.

I purchased a 2010 Lexus RX350 Ultra package from a Lexus dealer in September 2019 with 72k miles. It now has 96k miles, In my time of ownership I’ve had these problems arise: Leather doesn’t hold up well at all Amplifier failed-$300 for a rebuild and self install Rear struts failed- $700 Trunk shocks failed- $50 self installed ECU failed- $1,410 TPMS system failed- $900 Honestly I typically love Lexus vehicles and I have several cars at the moment to compare and this SUV while it is very comfortable and has decent power has not held up to the reliability expected of a Toyota/Lexus product.

Best Used Luxury SUV Buy!!

Lets face it only the top 5% of wage earners can afford to pony up the 40k+ to purchase a new RX, but when it comes to the best value in the used SUV market look no further!! the quality and technology that goes into the 2010-2015 Lexus RX350 is impressive to say the least. This segment is jammed full of popular hot selling offerings but with most of them there comes serious sacrifices, reliability, Tech, size, comfort, etc. If you are in the market for the nicest used SUV in the 20k and under price segment the 2010-2015 RX stands head and shoulders above the rest! And with the rock solid reliability and re-sell its a no brainer!

My old one was better

I had written in before when we first got this car about how uncomfortable the seats were. I should have listened to the prior posters. We finally realized that no amount of breaking the car in would make the seats comfortable so we had to take a loss and got rid of the car. Lexus needs to realize that quality and comfort counts and that it is not about technology and gadgets. My 2007 was better than the 2010. If you have a lease ending on the older model I would not recommend the new one. Perhaps Lexus will fix the issues with this SUV and go back to the luxury, comfort and quality it was known for. I would not recommend this SUV.

We are or have been very loyal Toyota and Lexus owners for many years. Our 2010 RX 350 was an upgrade from the 2006 IS 350. The Vehicle is a great ride except for the unintended acceleration. It came very close to tragedy 2 weeks ago on an interstate. I have heard about the Toyota problem but didn't want to believe that it would happened to our RX. There is less than 20k on the vehicle. It started acting up a few months ago, it would accelerate over set cruise speed by 10 miles hr but wasn't life threatening, braking stop the acceleration. This happen twice with me & twice with my wife until the brake didn't stop the problem acceleration. She couldn't get it stop by jabbing the brakes hard,

I was making a turn going approx 10 miles an hour when a retaining clip on the right front axle broke resulting in the car not being able to move except to roll to a stop. The car had to be towed to a Lexus dealership. They said there was also a bolt missing in the bearing carrier. Now I am afraid to drive worrying that it will happen again. I took it back to the dealership I purchased it from to see if they would give me my money back so I could purchase another car, but they would only give me 75% of my purchase price. I left the dealership very disappointed, with my car. What would have happened if this happened on the freeway?

This vehicle is designed for politically correct soccer moms. They have eliminated the ash-tray, lighter and change holder. For just the front seat (1 driver, 1 passenger), they now have 3 cup holders and spaces for an almost infinite number of water bottles. There is no outlet for a cellphone charger or radar-detector. The center armrest is way too far back to rest anything but your right elbow on. Whoever designed this clunker must be related to the guy who changed the formula in coca-cola.

I have owned a 2001 rx 300 for 6 yrs with very few problems sold it with 240000 miles and bought a used 2010 out of Florida and he it shipped to Maine I have owned it for a yr now and it is a great car drives like a dream no mechanical issues great in the snow!!! The biggest issue up here is rust hence the purchase out of Florida if you can find a good deal it is so worth it if your looking at a used car. Will never drive any other car but Toyota or Lexus again solid vehicle!! LOVE my RX 350 it is solid smooth reliable capable ride!

After all the research and visits to all the other dealerships I ended up buying my third Lexus. I waited about 3 years for Lexus to put some life into the RX model and it was worth the wait. Very happy with my SUV from all aspects. I would recommend this to everyone that is in the market for a new car.

Upgraded from an 05 RX. The power, performance, suspension and roominess are all upgrades. The 2010 is also quieter. All electronics are significant upgrades--particularly Nav and Voice. Other notable improvements are the center console, larger interior and lack of wheel wells intruding into the cargo area. The suspension is much improved. Overall, very happy with the new Lexus. I compared against MDX, SRX, Q5 and MB. In the end, quality, reliability and Lexus service made this car the clear winner for me.

I am a single woman, so reliability is utmost! But combine that with total luxury, a smooth and quiet ride, great performance and this SUV is outstanding. My 2010 RX350 is my second. My first was purchased in 2002 and I drove that car until 2018. This car will never let you down and it is easy to have serviced. You don't have to take it to a Lexus Dealership for service. If you have a great mechanic, they can service most any issue. I have made many trips between Rhode Island and Florida caring for my mother. Not Once, was I ever concerned about anything with my RX350. Love my car!

We traded in a 2007 RX350 that was the third RX we owned. We have been very happy with the vehicles and the service. The new RX is a huge improvement. It rides much quieter and smoother. The features are easy to use, and the quality is top notch. If you want the best at a great price Lexus is the car for you.

This has been one of the best purchases I have made. This LUV is quiet and comfortable. Nice change from a trucky SUV. The NAV system is so easy to use, only minutes to go thru the entire menu. Quality thru out the car. Heads up display is terrific. Steering is numb but I don't care. The power boost on the steering is consistent, never over-assisted. Seats are comfortable and I like that both driver and passenger seats have all the same features. No regrets at all.

Bought Aug 2009 already having dissatisfaction. Hoping to have smooth ride, but it's not. Wind noise on the frwy & gas mileage is not what they claim only 16.2MPG on the city. My niece's rx 330 2004 has a better & quiet ride that's why we got one for ourselves. Try at least 2 SUV before buying.

Overall the vehicle is fine. It's comfortable and has many features. I'd recommend the car itself but not the purchase of the navigation system. When the car is in motion the navigation menu options are unavailable except for eDestinations which is a subscription service available for a fee. You can issue voice commands to the GPS while driving however the information returned is extremely limited. A query to the POI for example returns 3 choices. Effectively the navigation system is useless while driving. Technically you probably shouldn't use it while driving but there's no option to allow your passenger to use it either. You are better off buying a portable or aftermarket GPS system.

Drove the MB M class and Acura MDX and settled on the Lexus. Acura has superior nav system...the delay after every verbal command from the Lexus nav is extremely annoying and time consuming, but great for folks who have trouble mastering the nav I guess. Had a major rattle within the first week, very disappointing at this price. Quiet secure ride but no one could ever call it a "fun" drive.

The bean counters at Lexus have struck. My 2005 had a luxurious interior with an almost all wood steering wheel, shift knob and fine leather throughout. The 2010 has a trace of wood and cheaper leather. Accent lines on the exterior appear contrived and overall design not as attractive as the 2005. The 12V plug is buried in the console and needs to be more accessible. Trip computer on 2010 hard to read and use-much inferior to 2005. Cooled ventilated seats barely cool. Side molding on 2005 useful to avoid dents and dings-molding at bottom of door of 2010 virtually useless. The transmission, power and comfort are noticeably improved. But I miss my 2005.

My wife and I went from a wonderful '07 to this cumbersome '10. The ride is rougher, window noise, a loss of 4 to 5 MPG, and it drives like a truck. The turning radius is greater, the steering is slow to respond, the acceleration is OK but the vehicle seems so big I'm afraid to goose-it. We screwed-up! My wife and I both wish we would have kept the '07. The '07 was nimble, quick and fun to drive. The '10 is none of the above. One positive is I have a little more leg room in the drivers seat. The information panels are hard to see and select. Auto wipers did not come with the '10. The bluetooth is difficult to hook-up three layers down in the console. My advice don't trade.

NAV System volume is too low even on loudest setting. Dealer agrees but doesn't know how to fix it. The left side cup holder is useless. It is positioned too close to the driver's door so you cannot grab a cup unless you grab from the top. The heated seats do not get very warm. The 2007 electric heated seats were far superior to the hot air heated seats of the 2010. Overall, not very satisfied yet.

Checked the reviews for the 2010 Lexus RX350. It was rated number one or number 2 in all the reviews. Found this one and it checked all boxes. We both loved the red color. Love the power. Great ride. Bought my first Lexus in 1989 - LS400. Have bought or leased 9 since then. The ride of this RX350 parallels my first ride experience of the original LS400 - quiet, safe, in command, plenty of power. I am still learning everyday the new features. Clunky GPS of my 2005 RX vastly improved in this model. Transmission provides great power on the hilly roads where I live. Safety features give me a feeling of confidence every time I get behind the wheel. Everything I hoped for in my latest Lexus has been delivered.

My new 2010 RX 350 started off great. This good feeling lasted about 2 months until my first technical problem. Since the new Navi/radio system is so intricate and connected to everything, I've had problems with the climate controls, Navitraffic, XM Satellite radio and HUD display. I'm in shock. I thought Lexus quality stood for more. Well, my car has been back to the dealer 4 times, each visit averaging 3 days. Every time, the same story, we need to research this, we are unfamiliar with the new systems. I think I should have waited until they had gotten the bugs out. How frustrating my new car experience has been. Be forewarned.

The Matador Red was glowing in the sun and I was wowed with the new design. I traded my 2006 in and have had the new one for 3 weeks. The driving is so sporty, tighter suspension, extremely smooth and quiet, great acceleration, always get compliments on color. Huge driving difference between 2006 and this new beauty. I don't have sports package but 19" chrome wheels. Luxury, comport and nav package with parking assist (which is awesome) and came with tow package.

As good as the previous generation RX was, the 2010 is even better. They have replaced the strut based rear suspension with a double wishbone style, this equates to more cargo space and better handling characteristics. They have a 6 speed tranny replacing the 5 speed, up in hp and torque, a new on demand style AWD system means better mpg (up to 28) you can lock it in as well. Smart key access means you never have to take your key out of your pocket and push button start is awesome. This is a car that is built around the driver. I have driven the Acura MDX, Mercedes, BMW X5, Lincoln MKX... none of them compare, Lexus is the best bar none; the cabin lay-out makes sense, the others are complex.

Subtle Yet Noticeable Improvements

Upgraded from 2007 RX 350 AWD. Wife's car - she's a lifetime Lexus fan. 2010 model is touted as "totally redesigned," but I think it is more subtle than that. The engine is quieter, gearbox is much smoother, and suspension rework is a big improvement. Others have complained about wind noise, and I seem to agree. Overall, not much disappoints in this new car. Very glad that new rear suspension creates a flatter cargo floor. We're pleased with the upgrade so far. The wife is concerned about the on-demand AWD feature, so we may spend the winter with the Diff locked, which will probably penalize the fuel mileage.

After only driving the Jeep Grand Cherokee for 25 plus years we decided on the Lexus RX 350 because it's a beautiful looking car and we wanted something different. I keep looking in the reviews to see does anyone else have the same complaint as us.......the drivers seat sits way too low. Visibility is terrible. Thank goodness we got the navigation which shows whats behind you when backing up.When the drivers window is rolled down and you put your arm out, your arm has to rest on an upward angle. I saw someone state they had an accident,no wonder! It really makes me nervous on the highway. True,I am short but my husband who is 6 foot says the same thing.

Lexus problems

After driving two Lexus RX models and after walking away from two major accidents we purchased a 2010 Rx 350. We have the same problem with the bumper pulling loose. We had the same problem with a 2010 hs250h that we found had double back tape applied to hold it in place. All I can say is whats up Lexus ? If I want a car that is taped together . I think I can find one at a dump. I expect better than this from a company that says it takes pride in its quality.

Problem with loose right front bumper

After a few weeks, I noticed that part of the right front bumper was sticking out and up. I found out that it was loose. The left side is OK. I took it back to Crown Lexus of Ontario, CA whose service rep said that they know about the problem. I was given a similar vehicle and I noticed that it has the same problem. When I picked my RX350 up, it had the same problem. They told me to drive it until Lexus can find a better solution to just installing a "bracket". I am still waiting for them to fix the problem. Check your 2010 RX350. It proabably has the same problem.

You are all in for a SHOCK! 30,000 mile checkup: $657.09 (Labor was to be $395.42, the rest was for air filters, wiper blades, brake fluid, and... $28.95 labor to check the air pressure of the tires). I told them I would just have the Oil filter and oil change (new 10,000 mile synthetic oil). The oil change cost $120.00 . They said they did not and do not check the fluid levels along with the oil change. The 35,000 mile check up (no oil change), just fluid checks inspect, clean battery cover, check air pressure, tighten nuts and bolts: over $400. 00 (because that labor costs $342.00 of the $400). I am looking for a Ford and/or a new mechanic.

Lexus Has Fallen

We purchased a brand new 2010 RX 350. After a week or so we noticed the front bumper was coming off. After 3 months, the whole transmission blew on the car and had to be replaced. While replacing it, the dealer scratched up the rear bumper so badly it had to be repainted. The car is a piece of junk. After four Lexus in our family, I will NEVER touch that brand ever again!!!

Been owned 01 mdx, 05 rx, 07 ml350,08 x5, and 09 gl450. Right now I'm leasing 08 911 turbo and have 07 Prius. I've been owned so many cars from all models of Honda to Ferrari f430. What happen to Lexus! They are increasing price with low-end quality material! Feel and look cheap plastic interior, uncomfortable seat (I'm 5'10" n 185 lb). 2005 rx was much better! Thank god we're leasing this car.

I've only had this car for a few weeks and I love it! I did a lot of research before finally deciding on purchasing the new 2010 Lexus RX350. Lexus is known for luxury and quality and this car will not disappoint. The new interior design is the best part. Navi is great. Ride is smooth and comfortable. Headlights are great. Lots of safety features. So many features make this car great and convenient to drive. I noticed in a previous post reviewer had mentioned car rolling back even on the slightest incline. I have a totally opposite experience. I have to make sure and check that I'm in drive and not park since car stays put. Overall, highly recommended, won't be disappointed.
