Money well spent!
I was looking for a reliable car for around $5000. Took my own sweet time to drive a lot of cars, check there edmunds.com reviews. Fell in love the very first time I drove this car, it was just great. Lot of power, space and comfort. Fuel economy is around 15 mpg in city but on highway its close to 30 mpg. I feel safe inside the car even while driving it even at high speed.
This car rocks!!!
this is my first car. I have had this car for about a year now and every time me and the friends decide to go somewhere, guees who's car we take....mine They love my car When I was in the market for a car I was iffy on buying a lex because I thought it would be expensive to drive one Its actually not as bad as Id thought The only thing Ive actually done to it was wash it and change the windsheild wiper blades My friends drive SUVs and they drink gas REALLY badly which is another reason why we take my car my car is really classy I myself carry around a KORG Keyboard and it fits in the trunk pretty well for a car Lexus has great build quality

Good car!
Good car! Well built, great stereo system BUT at 70,000 miles it has an oil leak costing $1,000 to fix-very un- Lexus... Otherwise engine is great, trasmissions is smooth, and to top if off you get to cruise in a comfortable, safe car that after 7 years still looks good... What other cars besides Lexus's can you say that?
The best car you can get for under 5K
I Purchased this car in June of 2009 and it had 105k miles. It is now at 120k miles and runs great. I have never had to take it to the shop for anything other than maintenance. It is very comfortable and reliable. This is the 3rd Lexus in my family. My mother has had an IS and a RX hybrid. all great cars. It has a good amount of features. The gas mileage is ok for a V6. I get 19 combined and I have gotten 28 on a road trip averaging 75 mph. I would highly recommend this car. It is very solid, I never have to worry about my car breaking down. As a college student, I can't afford to pay for costly repairs. This car has Toyota reliability. I think this car will go for another 100k miles easily!
A great car!
I bought this car with 58,000 miles on it; no problems except wear & tear. It started using oil for a while and I expected the worst - an engine re-build. But after an independent technician replaced the PCV valve ($10!), the oil usage stopped. I sure hope my next Lexus has better cup-holders; they're far too shallow. The key to the Lex is keep it maintained and no telling how many miles they'll run. A great value.
