Used 2022 Kia Carnival Consumer Reviews
Looks nice, feels cheap.
When we bought our Carnival it looked so nice from our first impression. Within a week or so of owning it we started noticing random things. Weather stripping came loose from the inside of the windshield and above the sliding door, door will close on a child with no safety sensors, radio comes on at odd times for no reason, engine shut off on the highway, super loud wind noise on the interstate, most uncomfortable seats ever. After a few weeks the whole care just started feeling cheap. We decided to take the loss and trade it in on a better, higher quality vehicle.

We love our Kia Carnival
Amazing amount of cargo space. Plenty of room inside even in 3rd row for our 6’3” son. Love the features and the look. In a 100 mile trip averaged 30.8 mpg with 5 adults a large dog and cat and many cubic feet of cargo. We test drove the Telluride which we liked and then the Carnival which we both loved at first drive. We are very happy with this purchase. Thank you Kia.

Great family car without the soccer mom feel.
I am a mom of 4 rapidly growing kids. We are a blended family and they are ages 10, 12, 12 and 14. So a third row was obviously needed. I hated the idea of a minivan. Didn't want to make the jump from an SUV to a van. So we started looking at our options. We had an older Mazda CX9. Which I honestly liked but the legroom in the back was starting to become an issue. We looked at the Traverse, Acadia, Pilot and Explorer. The third row just wasn't enough for the kids. I didn't want them to feel like squished sardines back there. Then we looked at the Odyssey and Sienna. They were nice and all but they just felt so overwhelming like...a minivan. Then for the price, you had to really empty the bank to get any of the nicer features on it. So then it was on to the Carnival. It had the best of everything. The room and convenience of a minivan but the style of an SUV. All of which came together without breaking the bank. It's very comfortable inside. The kids absolutely love it and love all of the USB ports everywhere. I also love the safety features and Android Auto. I don't feel like I'm driving around a "mommy mobile". It's a sharp looking and great feeling vehicle. So very happy I bought it!

Incredibly disappointing to pretty happy 1 yr late
Bought the top of the line Carnival from Bridgewater Kia in Bridgewater, NJ approximately 10 days ago and at first it was just cosmetic stuff the dealer didn't to the detailing work they should have, the car was dirty and had scratches on it. Now on two separate occasions when my wife pulled into our driveway I was blown away by the smell of burning antifreeze. I know from the detailing issue they couldn't give me a Carnival as a loaner because the one they had needed a new engine. This is a 2022 car and in the trim level that I purchased is nearly $50k. Already beside myself, but glad I bought in New Jersey with their lemon laws instead of Pennsylvania where I live. The good news for you is after reading this review there is really only 3 minivans to consider and none of them are Kia. Soooo... Since writing this review those issues were resolved roughly 13 months ago. Since then we haven't had any issues, and my wife loves the car. I wish we had gone with a lower trim assuming I still could have gotten the sunroof. The fancy middle seats need to be pushed to the center to fully recline and you can't have anybody in 3rd row. It's a useless party trick. But other than that it's been reliable since the early issues, it's comfortable, and we got the black on black rims which makes it the closest to "sexy" that any minivan will ever get.

2,000 miles and loving it
This 'MPV' is exceeding expectations...not perfect, though no vehicle is. Drives like a dream and gets decent mpg for such a large vehicle. The tech integration is pretty incredible and far better than competitors and at a much better value. Safety features all work as intended, though the auto brake assist is a little over-eager when cars are turning in front of you. Seat comfort and flexibility is great, but middle captain chairs could be a little easier to slide. Only real compliant is the design and placement of the entertainment screens, which takes up some aisle space and almost interferes with the function of the seats sliding forward. Love having the 360 camera and power folding mirrors available on the SX (not the top model) too. Drive is very quiet and refined and this thing definitely gets some looks. Hoping for at least 10 great years!
