Fun Red Gas Swine ...

This is by far the most fun vehicle I've ever owned! Quite civilized in traffic, holds its own on the road ... quiet enough, great visibility, seats are really comfortable. Love the new red color, too. Now that I know where all the buttons are located, I'm in control. And the 4-wheel drive: I go looking for things to run over JUST BECAUSE I CAN! The only gripe (and this is a real complaint @ $50.00 a tankful) is gas mileage. It's a pig!

I purchased my Livery when it was 2 years old. I loved it!!!! Very comfortable and fun to drive. At 58,000 miles, I began to experience transmission problems. The transmission slips constantly in damp and snowy weather and the check engine light comes on. Took it to the dealer 3 times and they still can't find the problem. Calls to the Jeep customer service have been useless. I am also having trouble with the rear passenger window going down. My warranty will expire soon and I am concerned I will be stuck with a huge repair bill. I love the looks and the comfort, but I will NEVER buy another Jeep vehicle. The gas mileage stinks as well. About 15 city. 18 hwy.

Without doubt or hesitation the most fun I've had in any vehicle I've owned in 25 years. This is a REAL off-road vehicle not a tall car with 4WD. The perfect combination of on-road manners and off-road go-anywhere ability. A bit thirsty but this is a tough, solidly built truck. I've driven past half a dozen broken GMC and Ford vehicles on trails and I'm sure they get worse mileage. This truck has taken some of the toughest trails in N. America (Moab for instance). Nearly all the capability of a Wrangler with twice the comfort!

This is a great car that goes anywhere in comfort and gets you back safely. It's small and agile, but large enough to haul anything for a house or cabin. In a year of driving many miles the only thing its needed is oil changes.

I have leased two Grand Cherokees and two Libertys (2002 and 2005). Love this little frog, as my husband calls it. Just as plush and much better pickup than my Grand Cherokee that was an 8 cylinder. Fun to drive, easy to park. Comfortable leather seats. Great doodads. Plush, sporty, rides like a car but has lots of room for hauling plants, boxes, etc. when you put down the back seats that fold down very easily. I have had no problems with either of my Libertys. I love it. "My little Beep."

i love this vehicle. I paid cash for it and it's the best vehicle I have ever purchased. It drives greatk you can hardly tell when you go over bumps in the road or train tracks. It gets good gas mileage. I can tell exactly how many miles I have left till empty as well as telling how much air pressure is in the tires and the XM radio is the best. I would recommend this vehicle to anyone.

My Liberty is a definite upgrade from my '00 Neon that was totalled. I bought the Liberty based on exhaustive research and an excellent deal from being a recent college graduate (1% below invoice plus rebates). Got mine fully equipped with Sirius satellite radio, sunscreen tinted glass, power sunroof, and all-terrain tires. The V6 gives it awesome power. I don't really intend on going off-road, I just wanted a secure vehicle for New England winters, and I definitely have it!

I traded in my 2001 Camaro SS for this vehicle. I needed a practical vehicle for every day driving. It's awesome in the snow. I flew by other new vehicles which got stuck in the snow. It's great for when I go shopping with my wife. It has great room and very comfortable. I test drove other vehicles before purchasing this one such as the Chevy Equinox and Mazda 3. The Jeep outperformed both and is much more quiet and smooth on the road. The off road lights are very bright. Forget about xenon lights, these are much brighter! Ground clearance is perfect. Gas mileage is what you'd expect from an SUV. As long as you drive it normally it's good on gas. I really enjoy driving my new Jeep!!

I had been wanting a Jeep Liberty since they first debuted. I can remember the first time I saw one on the road. I was like...."Wow." So it was really the exterior appearance that struck me. The front end is so gorgeous. Especially on the new ones with the chrome grille. (Mine is a 2005 Limited.) It runs well, accelerates well, and you feel safe travelling on the interstate at high speeds, unlike on some other smaller SUV's, where you feel like you are all over the road. I had a 2000 Chevy Tracker, and to go from that to this Liberty is a total improvement. It handles well. I haven't had a chance to test out the 4 WD extenxively yet, or operate in the snow.

Nearly have 6K miles on my CRD. Has been trouble free save for the one incident at less than 600 miles. Has been flawless since then. Traveled to Florida and averaged 27.1 mpg for the trip. Ran like a dream and ran away a few times because I forgot to engage the cruise control. Seats are really comfortable and I was able to drive for long periods without pain or discomfort. A/C was great in Florida and had a nominal impact in fuel economy. Performance has improved with mileage. More pulling power than before.

Overall I am very happy with this vehicle. It's a great drive. The Liberty catches up with traffic with no problem. I get the whole spare tire thing, but I would rather have a lift gate than the swinging door (especially in the rain). And I have to open the garage door to get large items in and out (e.g. golf clubs). Gas mileage ranges from a low of 14MPG around town to 20MPG on highway trips - pretty disappointing. I noticed the brake pedal is set a little higher than the accelerator which means a lot of leg lifts around town. But the 4-wheel disk brakes bring the car to a stop easily. You get a very good sense of control until you approach 70MPH. So don't. This car will stay in the family.

I am very pleased with my 2005 Jeep Liberty. Yes, it does drink quite a bit of gas within the city, with the normal "stops" and "goes" traffic. However, on the highways, it's very economical. The Jeep Liberty is a "fun" vehicle to drive.

DaimlerChrysler has a winner with this engine/vehicle combination. Excellent fuel mileage for its weight and size, ability to use alternative fuels, excellent handling and ride, solidly built, climbs 6 percent grades in 5th gear lockup at 70 mph, and have seen upwards of 34 MPG on the interstate at 75 mph. Put this engine in a Dakota 4X4 and DaimlerChrysler will be selling trucks faster than they can build them.

I originally purchased the Liberty after having rented one for a family trip. We are average or better in height and found the leg room and comfort was supportive of our individual body makeups. My children enjoyed the long ride and never complained of being tired even though the ride was very long. The color and exterior look is attractive and easy to maintain. I love the material and design of the wheel moldings. I hand wash my Jeep rather than utilizing an automatic car wash facility. I enjoy the size and durability of the exterior design. It has been very dependable even in adverse driving conditions. The overall ride is smooth and the vehicle itself is easy and enjoyable to drive.

The turbo four cylinder diesel has provided about 25 miles per gallon for overall mileage - 23 mpg in winter. I needed something versatile and with decent mileage and have been very pleased with the diesel Liberty. I like it as an urban commuting vehicle because of the great turning radius and the good visibility makes it easy to drive and park. Mileage is very good for an SUV. Great vehicle for taking canoe and camping gear into the back woods. Very good off road. OK on freeway. Not luxurious, but it looks good and is well made. The bonus is the very good towing ability of the diesel engine. Not sure why Chrysler didn't build and promote this vehicle more. Its a sleeper, but a keeper!

1500 miles, leaked out power steering fluid. ABS light has come on twice. ETC (Electronic Throttle Control) light has come on several times causing it to run lousy. Dealer service useless. "A light came on but it's out now." Took a week to get it looked at and three days to tell me what I told them. Had to drive my $25,000.00 thumb to the dealer to pick it up. Dealer says the diesels don't have service intervals. Fun to drive when it works. Quirky.

I bought this Liberty Sport V-6 4a in June 05. I am a previous Wrangler owner. This Liberty rides well and is comforting on long drives of 400+ miles. The gas mileage is ok if you don't have a heavy foot, but if you need power it has it! The stock tires are limiting if you off road much. I purchased some BF Goodrich T/A tires and that solved the problem. The interior is great. I have hauled 600 lbs. of wood pellets in the back with no problems. People complain about the window controls but I like where the are located. All in all, it is a great 4WD. I kinda wish I had bought the CRD. It will probably be my next vehicle.I installed a K&N air filter and it made it better.

I bought my 2005 Liberty in Dec.2004 to replace my 2002 Liberty. I did not expect to do this since I had bought the 2002 as a compromise vehicle because my Audi could not navigate a rough trail to a cabin in New Hampshire due to low ground clearance. To my surprise, I got to like the Liberty (although not its thirsty habits) and once the brakes and tires were upgraded in the 2005, I could not resist renewing the experience. The lights are much better in the 2005 also. Some say the cargo volume is small. However, I got a full dresser, nightstand, mirror and various other bedroom items inside the Jeep with all doors and windows closed and put the two headboards on the roof. No problem!

We love our Jeep Liberty Sport. It is fun to drive, has proven reliable over 12,000 miles (not bad for an American car), and has a powerful engine. I like the styling, sound system and rather understated interior. This is a truck and has gutsy truck-like qualities. CRVs are slower and a little too wimpy. The RAV-4? Please, that's for sorority girls. Get the Liberty. Chrysler builds quality vehicles. My only complaints: the gas mileage is pretty poor and the seats could be slightly more comfortable.

I loved the look of the Liberty Renegade vs the Sport and Limited. Stick with the V6, I find it to have better pick-up. Best way to go on this vehicle is when its fully loaded. Only mistake I made was getting it in black since it looks like its always dirty (but hey its a Jeep right? That's what gives it its character!) Very comfortable ride on pavement.

I am a hardcore Jeep fanatic. At first, I thought it was shocking to see Jeep was replacing the legendary Cherokee. Like most Jeepheads, I thought the Liberty just didn't belong in the Jeep family. However, after totaling my Cherokee I took a chance. The Liberty performs just as well as the Cherokee, but with comfort and style that the Cherokee lacks. (And it looks good next to my CJ-5 too!)

It is a great little SUV; fun to drive, plenty of room unless you have a lot of kids - I'm retired. Handles well, lots of EXTRAS on mine: power sunroof, SIRIUS radio, 6 CD changer, AM/FM, display of tire pressure and lots more on the compass and temp computerized display. The V6 3.7 engine is plenty for this baby. I LOVE it ... and my last car was a Cadillac Eldorado, which I put 140K miles on. I can't say enough about my Jeep Liberty Limited.

This vehicle is fun to drive. I love the size although the cargo space is a bit limited. The rear seats fold down easily for more storage area. The ride is smooth and tight without being stiff. The seats are well padded and sit comfortably, but are very narrow (and I'm only 160 lbs). I have the leather trim option which means the seats are mostly vinyl with a little bit of leather on the sides. The back and seat bottoms become very hot and "sweaty" in the summer. The highway ride is comfortable but has a lot of wind noise above 60 mph. I have 7000 highway miles since purchased new in Sept '05. The EPA sticker boasts 22 mpg highway and I can't even break 16 mpg.

In the over-all we love our liberty! Mpg's are not stellar but considering she's a go any where 4x4 and 5400 lbs., not bad! No Major problems but the factory specified routine maintenance costs a small fortune. Fun, safe, peppy (3.7l) comfortable and capable on road and off. One annoying rattle emanating from the rear swing- gate/Glass region with no resolution to the problem in sight, many liberty owners with the same complaint! Very maddening considering a 24k price tag! Maybe "it's a Jeep thing" haha. Other than that we're pleased, let's hope it has the longevity of the Honda crv that we chose it over! Long live the liberty!

I am a lifetime Jeeper owner. I had my Wrangler for 10 years before I got the Liberty. I think that I knew that I wanted it the second that I saw it at a local car show. This is definitly the "grown up" version of the Wrangler. It has more space, go power and overall class than the other compact SUV's. The Liberty has a style all it's own, and is simply unmistakable on the road. Simply put... It's a Jeep thing, you wouldn't understand. :)

I have to say I love the way the Liberty looks on the inside and outside. I was so excited to find an SUV that was so classy. Unfortunately, I have experienced some problems with the transmission/4WD. The car gets stuck in reverse. I then I have to turn it off and on. It's been in to get fixed and no one can find anything wrong with it. Although Chrysler does a fantastic job of making their vehicles look good, but the reliability is just not there. It's a shame! Mine only has 12,000 miles and I'm going to get rid of it. I just can't trust it.

However, it has been in the shop 14 times in the first year. I have parked in my drive way and have a 'Lemon Law" Attorney. The dealership does not care and blow off all complaints. JEEP will not help. This Liberty Limited CRD stinks! Worst auto I have EVER owned. If you want to buy one, know your state's "Lemon Law" and hire a GOOD Attorney because, you're going to need it! Jeep/Chrysler will do NOTHING & dealer ship blames Chrysler and ANOTHER RUN AROUND!

I had to replace it 4 times; the first time was because the CD's got stuck and the other 3 times was because the units cut off/on with an explosive noise. i have called Chrysler and all the say is we are not responsible for this. and they will not upgrade unless I pay for it! It is a brand new car, I shouldn't have to be paying for upgrades in a radio that since the beginning was defective. It's a 2005 and it should be upgraded for the future.

Jeep is very fun to drive, the V6 has enough power to go on and off road, handles great off road.

The best fun for the most economical price in a small compact SUV on the market today! Try this 6 cylinder with 4WD.Take it everywhere - mountains with ice and snow and watch this baby perform. Yes the Cherokee is nice too but check the handling and quick natured torque of this puppy of a Jeep and you will just see that maybe it isn't just a puppy after all. All weather conditions, try it! It's amazing fun, need to do a quick turnaround - go for the 360~ on a dime. Tight parking no problem, fits right in with NO effort, None! A must try first vehicle before you make any other compact SUV purchase!

I love this Liberty truck and it is wonderful drive and easier to park than midsize trucks. If you are single you should buy compact suv to save space; if with kids that's different.
