Poor Service and Reliability

Purchased 2014 Grand Cherokee 16 months ago. Worse car ever in terms of performance (40 years of owning cars). Eight different times in shop for over a dozen problems (not counting 3 recall issues). No help from dealership GM on any front as he would not answer a call, e-mail or letter. Note that this was not a stalking but singluar contacts with no response. Went through "lemon law" arbitration which was a complete joke. Told that this level of service issues was "normal and reasonable". I guess spending 25+ hours in waiting rooms is a privlege and honor in the Jeep world. Would not recommend this auto manufacturer to anyone under any circumstance.

After test driving other names in the mid-size,this one fit me the best.I love the way it feels on the road.We have all weather conditions here.I've taken it up and down heavy gravel, sand and snow terrain.I took her up to northern bc for x-mas this year and had miles of glare ice ,hard pack snow, really rough highways,no problem maintaing 50-60 mph.The family and I were completely comfortable.I feel safe and confident driving it.Haven't had any issues except the fuel door doesnt like to open in -25 temp.I did recieve a recall notice to repair a ground wire.Have 6k on it now and will wait until she goes in for her first service at 8k to address the recall.

I picked up my new jeep on july 12 and on the way home the screen for the u connect went out and it was 90 degrees so no ac , no radio, nothing. I should have known better than to think that a Chrysler product was going to be a good move from my Chevrolet which never gave me a minutes trouble. this means that in the winter if this goes out you have no heat either and no manual way to defrost . very disappointed at my decision . and the carpet is the cheapest thing I have ever seen, and you cant clean it. it is at the dealer for the second time in three days now for the same thing. Big mistake, they didn't test these things at all . 47 thousand dollars worth of trouble

My 500-Day Experience With A 2014 Grand Cherokee Laredo 4x4

Bought a new '14 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4x4 in late '13 and traded it in Feb-'15 at 25k miles. Here's my (roughly) 500 day experience. The issues. 1-Transfer case seal fluid leak. 2-Heat/AC temp control either blazing hot or ice cold. 3-Check Engine Light four times before fixed. 4-Clunking of rear suspension. 5-Interior tailgate panel kept popping off. 6-Exterior tailgate handle crooked not flush Jeep said factory defect but wouldn't fix. 7-Radio / Climate control unit locked up periodically. 8-began hearing strange noise from gearbox. 9-constant recalls. 10-overly complicated climate controls. That said, there were many things I liked - see next section.

We have owned our 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland for 5 months. Tomorrow will be the fifth time it is going in the shop. We have transmission problems that are dangerous, problems with the radio which controls the heat/ac/clock/navi, the speedometer blanked out at one time and the abs breaks maded the car almost come to a complete stop on a highway. The Jeep dealership continues to do "computer updates" to the car and it continues to have problems. Now we also have a squeak in the back. Beautiful car but terrible reliability! Not safe to drive!!!!!!! Do Not Buy.
