***UPDATE*** The car never got better. More issues continued to pop up. 4WD and active lane management randomly would stop working and our car died again. Went to arbitration with FCA and was denied a buy back because I hadn't taken it to the dealership for the same issue enough times. Didn't want to wait for more issues to continue to pop up so got rid of it. Please do not buy this piece of junk. ORIGINAL REVIEW First breakdown was at 500 miles. Car died and the rear door module had to be replaced. Have taken it back for 3 recalls. This last time may be the last. A bunch of electrical issues like Bluetooth not connecting, wireless charger not working, remote start, SOS and assistance buttons not working and the alarm goes off even when the key is in the car. We're in contact with Mopar because all these issues are ridiculous. DO NOT BUY.

Windshield is flush with front pillars, causing dirty snow or muddy water to cover your driver’s side window. Making your blind spot sensor obsolete without audio. Potential accident on two occasions. My TOM TOM is really DUM DUM…. The screen shot on and off on its on. The radio power button shuts off the entire screen, making anything on the display obsolete. Navigation flickers from steering column to radio causing a safety driving conditions at night. The rear seat USB overheated the USB cord, causing smoke in the cabin. The JEEP manufacturer makes it impossible to be heard. The dealerships don’t care and keeps claiming the window is a design flaw and they cannot duplicate the others. If you want a good off road vehicle with great electronics….. look at another manufacturer cause Jeep sucks!!!! I owned a Grand Cherokee and loved it. But Jeep your quality fails substantially.

Where do I begin? What a nightmare. Broke down in South Carolina coming home from Florida vacation back to ny. Towed 48 miles. 2 weeks to have dealer get body module which had to be replaced after 3 months new. Still trying to get car shipped back from Chrysler Jeep. And it’s been a month. No idea when shipping company will do it. I call every day and nothing! Car had problems before, electronic, radio static , parking brake system and heat ac system the worst. If I had known I were oils have never leased. Also my dealer had no loaners for me. Been renting a crap car for a month. If and when I get it back I won’t drive it far anymore

Worst grand Cherokee I’ve ever had

My 6th jeep and got stuck in s Carolina on vacation in Florida driving to NY. Car cut out wouldn’t start, all electronics blinking, doors wouldn’t unlock, tail gate opened on its own Had to have it towed 38 miles to a jeep dealer. Will take 4 days to get body module replacement and several updates before it can be shipped back to ny. I had to rent a rental car to get home. A real nightmare. Stay away from the grand Cherokee l at all costs!

I am a Jeep guy, I wanted to love this vehicle. I have owned so many jeeps over the years, Grand Cherokees, Liberty, Commander, Wrangler. So when the new Grand Cherokee L came out I was interested even though my wife wanted a Kia Telluride or a Hyundai Sonata. We test drove each and while each had their advantages we decided to go with the Jeep Grand Cherokee L Overland. First issue is the Air Suspension they touted was unavailable even on the Overland model. We still chose to go with it. We loved the potential but the vehicle has been plagued with issues in the first month of owning it. Issues with the parking break, park sensors, unable to get the vehicle to move, Uconnect console screen going out and being on back order so we are unable to use any of the features of the vehicle. Chrysler / Jeep customer care has not been willing to assist and has not seemed to care at all about the issues. Unfortunately this new model of Jeep maybe the last we own as it appears Jeep / Chrysler is no longer interested in standing by their product.
